Oddly enough, I thought there would be a few responses? I am glad you at least read the OP. Thanks for that.

Some things that crossed my mind:

Maybe it's too personal?

Maybe no one really knows?

Maybe it's in the wrong forum?

If you feel the courage to post an answer for any of these questions, thank you. I'll be around checking up on this thread.

Take care.
Nah! You asked in that time it took the Eagles to beat the Jets. So, I was doing the obvious thing for a Sunday afternoon -- peeling peaches for a pie while watching Stargate on Amazon. lol

What is the chief end of man?
To worship God and glorify him forever.

(Click link and check proof text for where that is in the Bible.)

I'm here for a reason. I get eternity for the same reason, so, noper. Not really into thinking God will ever be done with me. I owe him too much.
Thanks. Read most of that page down to the Our Father. It's pretty close to what I was taught as a child. It had a much greater explanation or at least examples of some things which I don't remember from my youth. Nice to actually read something that is accepted instead of opinion.

Pie? What else did you say?.......................................Okay, I'm back. I was having some sort of "vision" about pie. hahaha

My team won, though I only caught, mmmmm, maybe five minutes. I had to do some things. It was on in the background, but more to keep me company with the voices than anything.

When you've finished doing everything you're here to do...
God is going to take you home.

So if you're still here, there's still work to be done.
I think I just missed the train. That's alright. There'll be another.

I have been trying to make a peach pie all summer. I've gone as far as buying a dozen peaches to put in the pie to make sure it was nice and full. Didn't happen. Even a dozen peaches didn't make enough filling so the pie looked like a pie version of Charlie Brown's Christmas tree -- pathetic! It was concave!

And then the last of the season peaches came in. HUGE! Each one about the size of a softball! I used seven. FINALLY! Got that peach pie I've been trying all summer to get.

And, I do "pie crust art." Instead of making the same cuts in the top of the pie I try to make pictures or say something on top. At 2 PM, the Eagles already had a 0 - 2 season. We were desperate for our first win. So I wrote WIN on top.

Prophetic! They did! And now it says WI. It's also delicious. lol

Good for you that's awesome! That's one thing I need to learn is making pie crusts. I am a little envious of you right now, but I know it takes practice to get it just right:)

I've made apple pies before. It's been a long time, though. I'm not great at it. I even made a couple of blueberry pies before. I agree with mariah that it takes some practice. None of mine came out great, just edible. I can't remember the last time I made a pie. It's probably been more than five years.

Never made a peach pie. I bet they are good. It sounds delicious. I've tried to make many things. Some came out good and some didn't. None of them were pretty or fancy. I don't do that any more.

I watch more baseball than football, but I'm not a fanatic for any sport. I don't know the statistics of the players or anything like that. I just watch them play. I don't generally watch anyone other than my own favorite team. I'm not into reading about them, either, just watching sometimes. If there is a good movie on, I'll watch it and switch back and forth during a commercial to see how the game is going. Yeah, not your typical "rabid" fan. I never really was.

My wife makes the best pie crust that I have ever had. She uses this Amish recipe. It is very flaky and tastes good. Excellent.

Wasn't there a commandment that went something like, "Do not covet your neighbor's pies and baked goods"? :p

Tourist, somehow I figured that. I've seen enough of her posts on food. I wonder if she does mail orders? ha! :)
