Why is it that you don't believe in conspiracies?

Check out this video.

I'm not naive enough to not believe that Governments meddle in our lives in ways that are unnacceptable.
But it seems that on this site that conspiracy theories abound on nearly every topic.

H1N1 is some sort of sinister plot to gain control of the masses and install the One World government theory.
Obama is an Anti-Christ.
9/11 was an inside job.
Vegetarians are evil.
The Catholic church is run by Satan himself..I'm not Catholic btw.
Obama is a muslim.

The list goes on and on and on. And not one sceric of proof between the lot of them. Just some cut and paste articles from some crackpots blog or a heavily edited video that is slanted in such a way to back up a theory. But not ONE stone cold hard fact.

Pretty disappointing behaviour from so called Christians if you ask me.

What about the electric car?
There were millions of them produced, but the American government couldn't handle it and ordered all of them to be destroyed. Why? Because of money, because oil companies would lose money thus meaning the people who are in power would lose money.

It talks about this in the Bible, you should know.
It basically say's to be rich isn't good, to have power isn't good, because once you have power it leads to greed, pride, drugs, alcohol, sex, etc.. the list goes on and on and on and on.

The government is the downfall of society, not the people, and if you don't believe that, then i feel sorry for you. The Australian government is different though, I know people who have lived there. Americans are full of pride, and believe they are the best in the world. Pride leads to evil.

I did conceed that Governments meddle in our lives ways that are unnaceptable.
The electric car fiasco is a good example.
As is the hydrogen engine.
The reliance and promotion of coal as a primary energy source is another.
These are factual and proven beyond doubt.

As such. They AREN'T conspiracy theories.

the fact that the fly shot was.... sold by fear doesn't have to mean it's a conspiracy... it simply means people do anything for money....

And if this pandemic returns with a vengeance as an epidemic in this years Southern Hemisphere flu season or next years Northern Hemisphere flu season , what then?

Will you be screaming at the government for not acting sooner?

Do you really think that it is so simple to get a global vaccination program up and running?

Do you not think that there are scientists within the relevant authorities world wide who have a sceptical mind?

Nah...it's all about profit of course and everyone is against the people.

"scream at the government for not acting sooner"?lol.... they bought enough flushot- doses to vaccine everyone in norway twice (!)
they didn't even use all of the does... even though people were sneaking in the line to get it

waste of money and resources... especially as many MORE people die every year from other things, without there being this huge debate on it
...wonder what it would be like if there was a shot against heart attacks

Again you miss the point.
If this turns from the pandemic into an epidemic, ( google that if you are unsure), then you will be thankful. As will the rest of the world that Norway, ( as is there way), has an excess for use elsewhere.

Of course many more people die from other things, however that is hardly the point. This a precautionary measure against a virus that may kill millions.

but that's the whoe point, it DIDNT kill millions

actually FEWER died of this than of normal flu, vaccine or no vaccine

I am not against vacinations, I have had several shots myself when I was younger, and if I have kids, I will see too that they have at least soem of them

what I am against is using fear to promote it. exaggeration, guilt... (syng if you don't take it, you will responsible for someone elses death etc)

This flu is still in its first " global rotation" if you like.

It is it's second mutation, or even its third, that World Health authorities are concerned about. It only takes one person for this to happen and then pass it on.

I suggest you do some research.

The fact is that this flu has the capability, in an immunilogical sense, to cause massive deaths world wide.

It is not some weird conspiracy, it is common sense to protect the public.

My mother is a nurse, I am a halfway aducated nurse, my aunt is a nurse, many of my friends have medical education, I DO think I know something about muttions. And I firmly believe we have a larger reason to fear other things, like..., lets say STDs than the swine flu....

Nurses huh?
Friends who have medical knowledge.
All that in depth knowledge of immunology.
Equating STD's to H1N1.????

No doubt that you know best.

Such a pity that you are bereft of facts to back up your argument.
*shakes head sadly and walks away*

I'm not the one making accusations of government/ company/new world order conspiracy theories here.

If you wish me to show you the benefits/risks of immunisation I will. Happily.

It was you who strolled into the thread and claimed that H1N1 has been sold to the public by way of a fear campaign.

Not me.

Feel free to prove your accusation and then expect a rebuttal from me in return.

I have NEVER said it was a conspiracy... - read my posts again, I clearly say I do NOT believe in conspiracies

and yes, it has been sold by fear, that makes it by greed (just like any other thing) not a consoiracy on a larger level

it's just like the commercials saying "this will make your life SOOO much better"

Aplogies on the CT allegation. But you are one of the few on here who don't.

I disagree on the selling by fear, and call it common sense.

Hi, I donot believe in getting the flu shot for any of my family. I have four children and God will protect them all. When I was a kid I had the flu a couple of times and it passes. I donot know what I would do if I had a child that was prone to sickness because thier immune system might de down and they would not be able to fight it so in that case I might do it.

Some food for thought for the non-believers.

This virus has mutated and is forcing medical laboratories to re-jig the vaccine again.

And yes, this latest outbreak is only occuring in certain countries, but this follows the exact pattern of the deadly Spanish flu of 1918.

http://www.recombinomics.com/News/01111002/D225NG_Transmission.html

Recently released H1N1 HA sequences have significantly accelerated pandemic concerns. These sequences have either D225G, D225N, or both, and produce a case fatality rate at or near 100% in many countries. These receptor binding domain changes are on multiple backgrounds, but the transmission and expansion of these fatal sequences in eastern Europe, including Russia, have increased concerns, as has the "low reactor" status as determined by Mill Hill for a Ukraine sequence.

Pandemics are normally a presursor to future events.

As I have stated previously here, it takes two and sometimes three " global waves", and the consequent mutation of the virus, before a pandemic turns into a world wide epidemic.

Virtually all of what is called seasonal flu is now Tamiflu resistant as well. Note the speed at which this happened.

The bad news is that the very same mutation H274Y which caused the resistance in seasonal flu has been found around the world in swine flu (in low numbers so far).
