Funny thing is that it is covering a tattoo from my past....so yes.
I hear you! like a Christian woman with an ex-bf's name 'Bill', might want to have a tattoo that says 'Bill' changed to 'Bible' or something...

My wife doesn't have a tattoo. (Does yours?)

Blessings.

Philippians has long been among my favorite Epistles, actually.

Sounds a nice idea anyhow.

I wonder, did she start to acquire her faith based ink after she met you? (or maybe not, because so many Christian women want to have it done anyway).

Blessings to you and your family.

She had it before she met me. We met at church. I play guitar on the worship team and she thought I was cool I guess. Haha

Thank You

Philippians 2.15 seems like an ideal tattoo for a spiritually minded Christian lady to have chosen to be needled with, anyway. Like I said, my own dw is ink free.

PS: You say you keep adding to your faith ink. Don't be surprised if eventually she eventually follows suit and comes home with a bit more evidence of a parlor visit.

Blessings to you guys.

Oh she has already threatened it. Haha! Problem is that our good friend owns a tattoo parlor.

Does s/he own it, now? I wouldn't have called this a 'problem', anyway...

Anyway it's just kind of nice when Godly ladies have the confidence to get pieces of faith ink that they can identify with and radiate as part of their testimony. You guys must discuss ink quite a bit, I'd guess.

I've wanted to get a tattoo on my right calf of roses in the colors of my childrens birth month colors with an angel baby laying on them. But when I was a teenager my mother and father told me that getting tattoos or anything dealing with altering your body, even piercings, is a sin against God. So I talked with my pastor last year and he told me that I have to ask myself 3 questions. Does the tattoo subject go against God (ie--is it about death, devil, or any sins, ect)? How do I feel about tattoos personally? And What does God say to me personally and in the bible about tattoos? But I've yet to find anything in the bible about tattoos so I'm confused on that question. I personally don't mind tattoos as long as they aren't going against religion. I've met a lot of people who have some meaningful tattoos. But I just don't know. So...I want to hear from others.

What do you think about getting tattoos? Is it ok or not ok? And do you have any tattoos yourself and what are they about?
Tattoos used to be 'the upcoming thing' now they are just 'the robot thing' as so many have them.

You are absolutely right when you say so many have them.

There's still plenty of scope for individuality and personal creativity, though. Including if Christians decide they want to express some of their faith joy in ink in witnessing.

Actually, in tattoo parlors - such at the one owned by the friend of Sirk and his wife - there is a lot of innovation and creativity: so not sure about 'robots'... :)

I have some. I like em. ....
PS: Sirk:

To liking them, for many Christians the most significant aspect is the testimony angle; and this makes them 'like' them most of all. (You and your wife would probably agree...)

Not unusual.

[Next para.]

But the combination of a lovely, tattooed wife that you met in church and who loves the same worship is uniquely special and wonderful for the individuals concerned.

(I could wax lyrical about how unique my wife is... :) )

Blessings.
