I'm older and have watched America's slide downward. Before he passed my father expressed disgust that he and his brothers fought for this country only to have it turn so bad.

I've watched numerous young people in our town die of a drug overdose. I watched as manufacturing in America was gutted and sent overseas. I was a receptionist in a factory and had grown men scream at me and ask what they were going to do now. I understood.

It's plain to see for those with eyes that America is on its last legs. I'd like to know how others feel about this death of our republic.

We are in the last of the last days, I agree with the decline we are seeing around us, we have failed to keep good honest people in government allowing the deep state thieves to become entrenched.
There IS a remnant, and God ALWAYS works through a remnant, it is never a majority.
Just within this last week I have seen an increase in His response to prayer and impartation of Holy Spirit.

I find it difficult to be encouraged and optimistic. God was incredibly patient with the Amorites but his judgement eventually fell.

Not just America, but every nation is coming under God's judgment. We (Christians) should stop worrying about America, America, America; and start getting ready for the end.

Once more it is up to each believer to make the choice, to serve God or to serve mammon.

Yes, this is a far different age, we are not under the law, God had to deal with people the way He did then as it was way before Christ, He now indwells His own. We are required to pray without ceasing, and scripture indicates we are to pray in the Divine Prayer language for His perfect will to be done.
He can turn any situation in a heartbeat.
The ragtag Continental army defeated the greatest army in the world and this nation was dedicated to God by George Washington at a church just a few blocks from the WTC, we had our warning then, a remnant of true believers has indeed responded and is wholly devoted to our faith walk now.
He will never forsake His own, that is His promise, and we know He keeps His promises.

I'd like to know where you're seeing His response to prayer - I wish I'd see it. I've been feeling somewhat hopeless about all I see going on. I don't even like to hear the news because it's an avalanche of bad. I'm afraid for this next generation. What kind of world are they being left? Unless Armageddon is right around the corner they're going to live under abject tyranny.

That's how I feel. We know this country is done. A family member almost got into an accident when these foreigners flooding in parked right in the lane of a high-speed road. They stood there with their trunk up and cars swerving wildly around them. Then I read terrorists are flooding across our borders. All the wealthy and politicians will hide in their bunkers - that we paid for - while we burn. I wish Americans would turn the TV off and join against this. It's very discouraging.

You've never read much about martyrs. The first book I read after being saved was unfortunately Corrie ten Boom's story - wish I hadn't.

To those Christian men and women who think they're going to be magically raptured out: you may want to read about the rape and nailing to the cross of Christian Armenien women and the slaughter by the Turks.

Yes I have read Foxes Book of Marytrs and know about the Armenian Genocide and many other genocides.
Dwell on those things if you wish, that may explain your mood.
In Christ I and others will keep our minds stayed on Him, our best is ahead of us, that is His promise and God keeps His promises.

Terrorists are streaming across our border as we sit here. Where are American MEN??? Don't any care about their wives, sisters, aunts, mothers, or daughters???

I already had a taste of it. I had a foreigner approach me in a store. To be nice I chatted and then the perv put his hands on me - right in a supermarket. At first I thought that he must think all American women are sluts from Hollywood but then as I read more I realized it was probably the way they treat women. I've had my share of dealing with weird people but that shook me because America is hated in many places - sometimes rightfully so because of all the military interventions.

I'm not as optimistic that we're going to be protected. Too many bad things have happened to Christians over the years - myself included.

Our foundations are being knocked out from under us. I understand why Scripture says "men's hearts failing them from fear..."

I'm sure Corrie ten Boom had all of those promises memorized when she was marched into Ravensbruck. But they didn't come true for her did they?

We have the specter of martial law, FEMA camps, terrorists, and World War III looming that was planned many years ago by Albert Pike. I just find it hard to whip up enthusiasm for the country or the future. I may feel differently at some point but right now things are looking pretty bleak to me.

I feel sorry for you to be living without the hope that a realtionship with Christ provides.
Are you Catholic?

No. I was spiritually regenerated 45 years ago. I am a realist.

I assume you believe in the rapture? I am surprised that so many believers think THEY will be magically transported out and not suffer persecution like OTHER Christians down through the centuries.

How are you getting ready for the end? Do you have any speculation as to when it will happen? It looks like it's coming fast. I'm just unsure of the timeline.

I don't speculate about the timeline. Jesus never said we could know the exact timeline, but we can know the season; and the season is upon us now.

By "getting ready" I mean spiritually. I don't own a fallout shelter; nor am I stockpiling weapons, ammunition, food, etc.

Each day that He allows us to be here is a day we need to be doing His will, cleanse, heal, raise, preach, that we may earn crowns to lay at His feet.

If you have read these, you should have enough perspective to realize the current state of America is not really that bad in comparison.

To say things are terrible now is like saying I am poor because I can't afford to pay my internet bill. That's not really poor.
