Go out on the street and pray for God to send people your way to help.

You don't gotta wait on any one else if you want to help.

Lethargy can become debilitating. You have to be disciplined in your approach to serve God. It sounds like its time for you to get into the game. My advice is to keep it simple at first and then go with the flow that God leads you. He has prepared the work that He wants you to perform beforehand and what He starts through you He is certainly able to complete.

Thank you! I will pray on that. I think my first step is to get into a good church

Like it says in the book of Isaiah, "Come now, and let's reason together...line upon line, precept upon precept. A little here, a little there". Don't worry, you will get to where you need to be. Finding a good church home is an excellent idea to be with like-minded individuals in fellowship and worship of the Lord.

I have struggled with this problem all of my life. I have been a Christian most of my life but I have accomplished very little for God. 1) I have ADHD. (Look into that. It may be a revelation if you find you have it.) 2) I had a difficult childhood. 3) I have other issues.

Lately, I have been concentrating on learning more about God's love for me and in loving Him back. I am grateful to Him all the time for everything. And, in love I am asking Him for help in what I do from moment to moment. I really don't have the discipline, gumption or sticktoitivenss to get much accomplished. But, I am asking Him to motivate me to do the next thing He wants me to do. I am not great now, but I believe I am making progress, and it is my opinion that that is usually all God wants from us.

So, learn more about God's love for you. (Meditate on the prodigal son.)
Love Him back as best as you can. (This is out greatest responsibility to God.)
Share His love with the world around you.
Thank Him for everything every moment you can.
Ask Him what He wants you to do in the next few minutes.

I don't know if this is God's way, but I am working on it for now.

I will pray for you brother. I had ADHD and in 2013 I was diagnoised with aspergers and that was quite a revelation as well. I have a severe one tracked mind and when im focused on plesure I tend to forsake God. Im going to find a good church first that might have to wait till after my heart surgery depending on when it is.

You have come a long way Earnest in just the time that I have known you as a member. We are all a piece of work. You offered some wise counsel and have more to offer than you realize.

I believe you are born again in fact you sound a lot like me,I lately have felt lazy and a procrastinator and I have done alot in a way so I don't feel too bad,I stayed on multiple Christian Chat type sites sharing how to be saved and helping others through prayer and listening, understanding, and talks,I wore out the holy spirit I feel so to speak,I even wrote songs for God and have even been reaching out to people in my work place out of the blue!
Don't feel too down remember we didn't do anything worthy of being saved but we are,so think of this as a "Delay" read about "Jonah" sometime he thought just the opposite that he could "not serve God" by "running from servitude" and all that happened was a bit of a small "delay" in God's plan for him, once you are well I'm sure God/Jesus will lead you to do something for him eventually.

Prayer can be a powerful thing and doesn't require anything extra ..just a pure heart and time,

Thank you for your prayers. I will pray for you too.

I think I am partial aspergers too. I pray you will find the help and relationships you need.

I invite you to consider the advice I offered the OP. It is working for me.
