I can't imagine. The only prescribed meds I've ever been on was for allergies and I didn't continue to take them.
I worry about psych meds, as I've heard the side effects can be worse than what they are supposed to be treating. I can't speak from experience though.
I do hope and pray for the best for you. It no doubt takes a strong person to make these changes!
I don’t think God would have me on this path if I couldn’t handle it. There has been a lot of suffering in the process but it’s only strengthened me further. What ever science discovers cause of my contributions will be worth it all. To further mental health practices forward. Instead of remain stagnant, keeping people just existing but giving them a fulfilling life.

Coffee ice cream time!!!!

Ever since I accepted Jesus as my lord and savior ten years ago, the Holy Spirit has convinced me that I can quit any addiction, even cold turkey, just by believing I can. There are a few tricks I learned over the years without attending any anonymous group. Just figured it out with the help of a close friend who made me realize I become who I surround myself with. The hard part is cutting unrepentant friends out of your life, so that you can have a closer relationship with Jesus, more holy, more pure. Some people that you considered to be best friends either distance themselves further away from you when you rebuke them or they thank you for shining a light on their issues and you remain friends. Some people that claim they were followers of Jesus Christ would rather live in their sin but as someone who went down that road, it is my duty as a brother in Christ to cause some pain to wake them up, so they don’t go down the wrong path but I recently had a really close friend decide sin over Jesus, no longer responds to me, blocked me from everything. So that’s a first. I just didn’t think it was right not saying or doing anything about another brother in Christ who a was living in sin and wouldn’t take any of my advice. Tough love.
I ran into some problems with someone close to me. I had attended their church with them a few times (not here, but in the ATL metro). I didn't go there very many times though, 'cause the preacher was preaching that we can be saved without accepting Christ. Say what? Also, he taught that Christ could have came as a woman. Huh?? So, I told the person who is close to me why this was not a good preacher. I felt it was my Christian duty to explain (using scriptures why the preacher was wrong). I was ignored...and furthermore I was told not to talk about the Lord in our discussions anymore. So you sometimes have to be cautious even with the people who aren't necessarily living the sinful life.

Tough love is necessary sometimes. It's also tough on us too!

Coffee ice cream. My two favorite things :coffee::giggle:

I have yet to experience that situation but I’ve seen YouTube videos about those churches and so I pray that those churches become dismantled and that those members are able to find and accept the truth by actually reading the Bible instead of being spoon fed lies. Sadly there is a lot of deception in the world when people aren’t diligently in scripture or seeking God daily.

The ice cream was great. I didn’t over do it either. Time for dessert aka real food lol. Kinda reversed it today cause of our conversation.

Indeed! I tried to show by scriptures why it was wrong, but they wouldn't have any of it. In fact, right after I explained why the preacher was wrong, they sent the preacher a check!

You have willpower of iron! I just have no control when it comes to ice cream. Everyone has struggles and that's one of mine lol.

Who knows how long this will power will last but I’m enjoying the ride. I just pray that I continue in the word and just continue what I’ve been doing when it comes to Christian practices, so that whatever God’s will is for me, that I can do it with ease, instead of falling short. Just wondering what that is.

I’m sorry about your friend. It is really hard letting people make decisions when it’s obvious that they are making so many bad decisions but I guess that is what grace is for.

"...whatever God's will is for me...Just wondering what that is." I feel ya', in my own way. I feel I'm at a time of my life where I'm leaving an old chapter and entering a new one. I've been feeling this way for the last year. I'm also waiting on God's will for me in this new chapter. I like to read true crime and something a wrongfully convicted man said that made sort of made me think about my own life. I've never been in jail/prison, but I liked his way of thinking about his life. He said his former life was his caterpillar stage, then he went through the cocoon stage while imprisoned, now he's in his butterfly stage (currently living as a free and vindicated citizen).
I look forward to the butterfly stage! Maybe I'll be able to control myself with ice cream then....

I would say I’m in a cocoon phase as well this past year or even ten years, where I’m kinda stuck at home during this season, my imprisonment. So I’m looking forward to what is next and I’m not sure how God is going to orchestrate what is to come. So I continue in scripture daily, listen to worship music and fellowship as often as possible. Sometimes I do need breaks from fellowship though cause my brain gets overloaded and need to take time to process everything.

For example, I’m going to take a nap cause I only got maybe 2-3 hours of sleep last night. Good day!

I feel similarly, including the overload part. And the sleep part lol.

May all go well for you!!

October is my favorite month of the year.

The grass stops growing.
The temperature stops trying to cook you.
And the best part of all, BUGS DIE BY THE TRUCKLOAD! Good riddance to them all!
One of the worst things about October is the smell of rotting pumpkins mixed with drowned and drowning worms...

Or maybe that is November...

I also like the colors in the Fall. It's beautiful.
The air changes too and it becomes cooler and it's perfect to drive with the windows open.

Galatians 5:14, Ecclesiastes 12:13, Romans 13:10b The entire law is fulfilled in a single decree: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” When all has been heard, the conclusion of the matter is this: Fear God and keep His commandments, because this is the whole duty of man. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.
Now look what you made me do .. Thank you for the inspiration! I hope you and yours are well :)

Something must be wrong with me as October is my favorite month.
I don’t think there is anything wrong with you. From what it seems, October is a favorite month of a lot of people here. It went from a month that I dreaded, to a month that maybe not as bad as I thought, thanks to all of the positive imagery from everyone’s thoughts on the month.

This is a common misconception. The suffering God may allow us to experience is not about our strength, but to teach us to turn our burdens over to God.
And while it's true it may also strengthen us, but God absolutely will give you more than you can handle, and when you put your trust in God He'll help to shoulder some of those burdens, as well as send a comforter.

As far as a demonic month? No.
Fall is my favorite time of year, followed by winter. If you're having any thoughts otherwise it may be linked to something in your past. Or if you're on psych meds it may be stemming from that. Or even stemming from whatever condition they're giving you the meds for.
Sometimes we get an idea in our heads and begin looking for things to test if it's true or not. And that's when we focus on everything that confirms our suspicions. But we don't test anything outside of that.
So in your case you are more like to notice and add up problems in Oct, but every other month you don't. And therefore get a skewed view.

Is this month the most demonic month of the year? Or is there another month that is way more demonic?
Hi Sean, I'm fairly certain that Satan doesn't have his own month .. or even a single day ;)

That said, why not forget about the All Hallows Eve/Halloween celebrations this year and choose to celebrate something that is truly worthwhile instead, the anniversary of the Reformation of the Church, which happened 507 years ago on October 31st, 1517 :)

I completely agree. I tend to search for things around this month and it just compounds. Probably not healthy at all. Might be something to process with my therapist.

I'll check it out, as I don't really know much about church history. Thanks! I just know I've watched a reformed Christian church and I couldn't sense grace coming from the speakers voice, even though their church name is Grace Community Church in Sun Valley, CA. The church is lead by John McArthur, a well known pastor but I don't think I can sit through one of their sermons cause they seem ultra calvinistic and I've been going to more moderate charismatic churches most of my life. Not even sure if the reformation of the church has anything to do with reformed Christianity but I'll check it out anyways and have something to celebrate, besides halloween.

I just looked it up and I don’t think it has anything to do with wha it was saying.

Pretty cool split between Catholics and Protestants. Will definitely celebrate that!

If you're into reading biographies, I suggest grabbing one about Martin Luther if you ever get a chance. I found his life story to be a rewarding read. I need to read it again myself.

Most likely worth while. Just to have a better understanding of church history throughout the years.
