Parsing Deuteronomy 6:4 "Hashem Echad" God is One!

Deuteronomy 6:4 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:

In Deuteronomy 6:4 The Hebrew word Echad translates One. However, echad/one, means UNITY not SINGULARITY.

Another example of echad: Gen 2:24 echad speaks about the husband & wife being ONE flesh. Husband & wife aren't a singular being. They are in unity with each other.

There is another Hebrew word, YACHID, this word means ABSOLUTE SINGULARITY. Yachid is never used as a reference to God.
Yes, a husband and wife join and make a new family. A united family that always operates as a team. The Godhead consists of our Father in heaven and Jesus Christ. Once we are resurrected, we will be in that family also, isn't that great!

Using the grammar given in English we know by inference and declaration that when it is said God is One, it is in reference to the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

One in this instaance does mean the same as your explanation of achat. hAVING READ TEH Word IN hEBREW FOR MY OWN satisfaction, it seems anyone who is saved and in the Spirit knows this when rading it in their own languages. It is like translating E pluribusd unum…..Oout of many One…….the colllective statesof the U.SA. It is still one country.
