You just put to shame those who mocked the unlimited power and creativity of the Holy Spirit. You turned a "Child's game" according to some on here into a very real blessing and edifying experience. Instead of them adding to grace and peace and joy which are Biblically the kingdom of God through the Holy Spirit, they sneered, they gave abusive sarcastic remarks, they made their jokes. They gave abusive sacrastic "prophecy" of their own. They were opinionated and through their words displayed that they put God in a box. They tried to say that it was dangerous to be a prophetic community on a christianchat website. The only danger there is here is the idles words spoken. Thank you JesusLives for being the only one that understood this thread. Your maturity in the faith has given you favor and amazing grace. And the Spirit of the Lord says to you: You are the light of the world, the salt of the earth. I love you so much says God. My Son, your friend that sticks closer than a brother to you, your relationship with Him is about to increase, and the intimacy that you desire is about to be stirred up. Continue to run the race because of My grace is sufficient for you in all things.
I actually like this post. Two claps of the hands.

If that is the point of thread I dont know if this is the holy spirit or not as I have never been one to prophecy but I do have this to say- Many have fallen from faith, mankind is in a deep and dark place where they have no buisness being. Many have come in the Lords name as the scriptures foretold but as the scriptures foretold they are not of him, Everywhere I see many who say they are saved they are in Christ but how can you be in Christ when your heart is full of judgement and self righteousness? The love has indeed gone cold and has become a rarity amongst us one brother in Christ mocks the other one while the one who is being mocked by the first mocker is judging another brother who sins differently than him. how many of us will take the plank out of our eyes? and do we even see the plank?

Take what you will from this call it what you want but the fact is many are in the darkness and have lost sight of the true purpose of a Christian

Oh so thats what the thread is about? my sincerest apologies I didnt understand what popcorn prophecy was.

Don't feel bad. I don't know what it is, either. LOL. :) Though I did learn something from the replies that didymos, Agricola, and Charcoal gave. From didymos I learned that if you don't put your stuff back where it belongs, you (and anyone else) won't be able to find them again when you need them! :)

From Agricola, I learned never to watch horror movies with bloody killer rabbits in them! LOL. And from Charcoal, I learned that if you drink, or eat, too much, you WILL inevitably regret it big time! So even in the midst of sarcasm, there are nuggets of wisdom to be found!!

I would love to teach you a little bit about prophecy. You have wisdom in being aware of false prophets and things that relate to that. I'd say be aware, but do not fear. The Spirit inside of a believer did not give us fear but love power and a sound mind. 1 Corinthians 12-14 are the best source for understanding prophetic stuff. Prophecy is about discerning the voice of the Lord. That still small voice. When we are at a place of peace, it is easier for the Spirit to flow through a person. The Spirit is creative and can move at any time. God will agree with you if you desire to seek spiritual gifts. He'll be in agreement with you if you desire to speak a good word to someone. The best way to start is to have two believers in agreement with each other. Then ask God and believe that He will give a good word to you in a spirit of thanksgiving. It will usually be the first thought that comes into your spirit. God speaks to your spirit, and then it goes to your mind. God has unique ways of working with us. You may feel warmth when the Holy Spirit is about to use you prophetically. You may feel a sudden burst of joy. Just know that it will be in the fruit of the Spirit that you'll get your confirmation as to if it is God or not. All prophecy is for edifying, strengthening, encouraging, comforting and exhorting another. If you can still yourself, and come to a pleace of calmness. Then ask God in your head for a word. It's usually the first thought in your head. And don't be afraid of making a mistake, just know that you're under grace and you are given room to exercise your gift. All prophecy must make Jesus radiant. That's the key. Start of little. With words like "God loves you". That is Biblical. Personal prophecy should never usurp Biblical prophecy. Avoid prophesying dates and times, that can be sketchy. Remember God works with people differently. Let's say you're musically inclined. You can get on a piano and start flowing to that sound, and in your heart desire to prophesy and the Holy Spirit's power would just flow through you. Some write poetry and God speaks through that. Some prophesy straight from dreams that God gave them. God could also give words through mental pictures and images that come into your mind from your spirit. God has used me many times in this way. Example. I could get a picture of a someone that I know personally, and let's say I saw them put armor on. And the armor was shinning with light. That would be God telling me that this person is putting on the full armor of God, the armor of light. And you will automatically know in your spirit what it means. God is very simple.

I just have to say that I felt really bad for this thread with all the jokes - I just could not go there as I did not believe it honored God and I do feel bad it has taken this turn. God is so good to us and believe me I love to joke and kid around but the tone of your OP was one of sincerity I just couldn't joke about it not here. But I think differently than most God did make me a Blond...o.k. forgive me just a little joke. But God made me a Blond because He loves Blonds and knows we are a lot of fun and sometimes we can think really deep. Thank You God for Your Love.

People often mock prophecy especially when its a person giving a prophecy I have been mocked for some of the prophetic things I have shared and because of that I sort of kept them to myself and even started doubting the prophecies myself, but the things i have seen....wow i honestly am very grateful for them

I feel bad now because of my responses. My toy decoder ring that was in my box of Cracker Jack's doesn't work either. Seriously, you are right in your attitude. I think that I need an altitude adjustment. No, that don't sound right.

Nothing against prophecy but I don't think an online community is the place for such a thing. It needs to be done in person. Also, I have issues with the idea of 'popcorn' prophecy.

Now I have another addiction to deal with. There should be a warning label on the box.

As I understand it, popcorn prophecy is similar to popcorn prayer. One person begins and later other people chime in with their word of knowledge/picture that relates to another person in the group but there's no set order of things. There may be long periods of silence and/or people sometimes praying/prophesying over the top of each other (due to them speaking at the same time). The fact remains, popcorn prayer is just prayer without any set order of who's going to pray next. But popcorn prophecy, I don't believe prophecy works like that, nor do I think such a method of delivery is beneficial to those involved.

I guess the good thing about popcorn prophesy would be we can't talk on top of each as we are reading one post at a time so at least would be a little less confusing...

Well I dont know about how effective it would be in an online community but I have seen many prophecy forums and sadly they were full of false prophets so i couldnt really stand to be there long. but as long we arent setting dates and saying stuff like this will happen in this month or something we could at least see how it goes.
But one thing I see far to often in regards to prophecy is false prophets, for a long time I quit listening to ppl when they give a prophecy about the end times because of how many false ones there are. there was a guy I listened to on youtube he was good very educational and scriptural but then he goes and says that the tribulation will begin in october and that God told him he was going to rapture us this year.

I was like uh nope im out see ya and i havent watched him since. dang though why did he have to ruin our relationship of him teaching and me watching by saying something like that? Apparently according to him many are dreaming of the tribulation happening in october this year but i searched the entire web and didnt find one and I was like why??

butter & salt have i none, but what i have, i give:

When your words came, I ate them;
they were my joy and my heart's delight,
for I bear your name, LORD God Almighty.

(Jeremiah 15:16)
