I don't think it was that way in the cold war, communism needs an enemy in order to keep their people under subjugation.
The food comes FROM the farms, it isn't created in the back room of the supermarket.

Yes but its STORED in supermarkets. Isnt prepping about storing food? For emergencies?
The supermarkets themselves get food trucked in, and fresh food like fruit and veges stays in coolstores. Sometimes for months and then brought out when needed. Im sure theres enough food in supermarkets to last three days. If the food supply broke down, there would still be enough actually stored in the supermarkets to last that long. i would think.

Your ideas about communism are rather skewed I would think. Communism, in a raw sense is simply people sharing with each other, and is actually what the first christians did. The last supper was communal. Thats why its called COMMUNION. And nobody pays for it. Like you dont go to church and pay a fee to have bread and wine (or grape juice). Just because communism in the secular world has turned into dicatorships doesnt mean thats the only form it takes. You could say the say the same for capitalism turns fascist when the people in power remove everything from those that dont have the means.

"The supermarkets themselves get food trucked in"

People prepare for the event when the trucks can't roll, there is no food to bring in, there is no electricity to keep refrigerated food, etc.
Modern communism perverts what Christ instructed His own to live like.
Christ works through people, as opposed to a government.

If you live not far from a supermarket, prepping seems silly.
Ive got three up the road from me. i can walk there. They also have canned food there not just fresh. Most things kept in packets. There are even stores that sell expired foods. Some give away for free.

Rice does keep for a very long time. So if you have a big sack it could last you months. If nothing else lasts you can always eat rice. Then flavour it with soy sauce, none of which requires refrigeration.

While some are hoping the local store will continue to have all they want or are waiting for the government to come to the aid of their family during this time of trouble, my family and I have no worries.
We prepared ahead of time.
What great sin have we committed?
