Josh I understand that the bible does not speak of everything such as airplanes or cell phones but for something like reincarnation a topic that involves life and death we absolutely need to have a firm foundation in which to test that in. Articles simply will not do those things can made up easier than almost anything.

There is a reason everyone is hounding you about the bible, if we cannot find any kind of evidence of it in the bible then what can we test it on? The bible is the rock that we test our beliefs on because it is the word of God himself and the only thing in which is solid to test it on, otherwise what we have is man made doctrines and beliefs that are our own and of our own not God's.
And resurrection is not the same as reincarnation in fact reincarnation is only spoken of once and that when it Jesus is spoken of as the reincarnation of God himself

What I think is that there is no such thing as reincarnation. If there were then the bible certainly would have mentioned it. Just because in article is published does not mean that it's true and factual.

I think you mean incarnation honey. Jesus isn’t a reincarnation of God, He is God incarnate or as a man in flesh.

@Jonah (Finally someone dat doesn't irritate people). Revelations actually talked about ressurection though.
I just brought dis up when I wondered where spirits of infants that can't be judged go. It seems they come back in d same womb or another.
Have you found anything in Scripture which supports this idea? I haven't seen it in my readings, personally. If infants don't come back to this world, then it would stand to reason that they would fall under one of the categories in the resurrection. Whether they receive eternal life or are judged is another debate entirely. There doesn't seem to be any evidence that infants have a special condition or return to the first life in a new body.

Check out Ecclesiastes 6:

A stillborn baby arrives in a pointless birth and goes out into the darkness. The darkness then hides its name. Though it has never seen the sun or known anything, the baby finds more rest than the rich person. Even if the rich person lives two thousand years without experiencing anything good—don’t we all go to the same place?

So it would seem that regardless of the ultimate fate of infants, the spirit of man is only brought into this world once.

Greetings everyone.
Yeah, ur right@ tourists.
@Blain. I get u. Indeed d Scripture says a man dies once and is judged once. It just means d reincarnation of people ruled out.
@Jonah. I hav checked d Scripture u told me to. Well, since they cant return 2 earth, maybe they are made into angels since their spirits are pure. But only God decides, anyway. Thanks, ya'll

God Bless.

Jesus would have to do some fancy coaxing to make me want to come back here. Or I would have to be extremely carnal, which would mean I wouldn't be talking to Jesus at all..................maybe the other guy.....ole "what's his name".:)

LOL.
Now that I think of it, reincarnation will also be like saying God made a mistake in handling a life and wants to correct it by making d person live another life. And as we all know, God never makes mistakes and never will.
Thanks.

I know it is not in the Bible. The Bible contains Words of Life. God gave us because it is what we NEED to live rightly. It's not a rule book or guidline about all the unknown stuff in this world. So don't expect to find stuff like that there. The Bible never also told us that spirits of dead people can still linger in on earth and yet it happens
Anyway if u know, tell me what happens to infants that die? Do you think there are babies in heaven?
PS: @ old then new. In case u hav nt realised, it is God that is in control of all things. So don't get caught up in too much movies about magic and all those mideval stuff to think that anything beyond natural is 'demonic'.
God bless u all.
Infants are innocent and therfore they are acceptable to God..

I believed in reincarnation from the time I was 12. I was in the New Age Movement and everyone believed in it. But, I also knew I would never be good enough to get off the wheel of karma, and believed this was my last chance, my last life at making it.

I admit it was the last belief I let go of, that was completely wrong, from the New Age Movement. I felt bound in golden chains by the belief in reincarnation. Somehow, it was so appealing that we get more chances. And what about all those life readings? (Where they told you about all the “lives” you had lived!)

God was incredibly good, and showed me why reincarnation was wrong, only 6 months after I was saved. The golden chains were made of cheap gilt. They fell off easily as the Holy Spirit showed me many things in the Bible. Although I knew Jesus, at first, I really didn’t understand that no work was going to get me into heaven/off the wheel of karma. I began to praise God that he paid the price. He was the propitiation for our sins! That I was justified by the work of Jesus on the cross, not by my own works.

I have never looked back at this decidedly unbiblical concept. Oh, the life readings were definitely from demons. Praise God for delivering me from all those lies.

Reincarnation sounds like hell to me.

Getting sent back to earth when you die? Whaaaaat? No thanks!

As if God be like: Hey Breno, you didn't it right the first time, I command you to go back and try again.

Me: Nooooo, I don't want to go back there, I want to be with you!

....

And for the wondering spirits thing, as if God is not in control. They are demons deceiving people.

Joshmal,

You came onto a Christian forum and started defending a spiritual belief which is considered "anti-christian".

You should expect this kind of response from Christians if you are defending a belief which is, universally, considered anti-Christian.

So what is wrong with reincarnation?

1. The Bible clearly teaches reincarnation does not exist - the bible says a man lives and dies only ONE TIME.

2. Let me reiterate, the bible CLEARLY TEACHES AGAINST REINCARNATION.

A. It isn't a mysterious topic the bible is silent about... the Bible clearly teaches against it.

B. So if you want to believe in reincarnation, you must go AGAINST what is clearly taught in the Bible.

3. Finally, reincarnation and Christianity cannot both be true, because reincarnation would make Christ, our savior, unnecessary.

If reincarnation were true, then you'd simply keep coming back to earth, over and over, endlessly, till you eventually learned to live "perfectly". This makes Jesus, our savior, unnecessary. If we can eventually become perfect WITHOUT CHRIST, then there is no need for Christ.

A. The bible clearly teaches we are all sinners, and we CANNOT live perfectly, not ever.
B. The bible clearly teaches that because we cannot ever live perfectly, and thus we are destined for hell because of our sin, that Christ died to pay for our sin.
C. The bible clearly teaches that if we put ALL of our faith in Christ, and in his sacrifice for our sin, and accept him as our savior, then God, through the Holy Spirit, "converts" us... and saves us.

D. To believe in reincarnation would be to DENY the BIBLE, and to DENY the GOSPEL MESSAGE, and to DENY YOUR NEED FOR A SAVIOR.

Joshmal,
I don't know if you're just here trolling, and having a laugh, or if you're serious about this.
But if you're serious in your belief in reincarnation, you should probably rethink your conversion experience, and rethink whether or not you are "in the faith".
I'll vouch for him. He's not a troll.

I'll even tell why, (although he did this in PMs.) He apologized to me for spouting off on here.

Truthfully, didn't know why he was apologizing until now, but hey, not like I don't come off as a know-it-all because of my serious lack of fluff in my responses to people.

I'm aware I'm a pillow of corn, not a soft-down pillow. So, I don't take offense over folks riling back until they get to know me and my style.

But I definitely vouch he is not a troll.

But, they don't come back as angels either. Same kind of problem. Angels is a real species, just as Man is a real species. To consider man turning into an angel, takes you back into the original concept of reincarnation. The original version of that says you come back according to how you acted last time. So, men could come back as grasshoppers or cows. They don't come back as men. If they ascend to greater beings than men, they don't come back. They become "enlightened" and exist on a higher plan. But angels have always been angels, and humans have always been human.

And that is the problem with reincarnation. Even the original version of what was preached has been changed into what makes people feel comfortable now. (Albeit, I see no comfort in coming back just to have another life, and then another, and then another. I've lived this life. It's hard! I do NOT want a repeat.) If something is true. If it is real. It does not change to fit whoever wants it to change. Reincarnation has changed into something else. All religions change.

Did you know Jupiter was Jove at one time, but the Romans didn't like Jove being so perfect, so they changed him, gradually, into Jupiter, who was NOT perfect.

All religions change. God does not. And his word does not change because he does not change.

Which goes back to reincarnation isn't real.

Since then? Ahhh, I believe in delightful trolls. lol
