In regards to the photos I'd say I like the first lady's hairstyle best.

The second hairstyle, I ain't crazy about, but a good bit of my friends to the Hair Art stuff when we were in highschool it was soemthign of a trend, but that trend is now over.

Eh not a fan of the ultra-short hair on women, the last picture is the style I like the least.
Well, I wouldn't call the last photo ultra-short; shortish, maybe, but not ultra- all comparative, of course.

Thanks.

EDIT: also in term of Dreadlocks, I think they're cool, I seen both my white and black friends do the Dreads nicely, but my hair is not suitable for dreadlocking. In terms of women with dreads, eh, not so much a fan of that, though some women look nice with dreadlocks, its just not my preference in a woman's hairstyle.
Well, dreadlocks seem to be getting pretty popular and mainstream, anyway.

For men, as long as it is cared for short or long is fine.
For women, long, if one is able.
My hair has been short for many years now, really short, mostly due to health issues, as when it starts to grow past a certain length, it falls out.
I do wish I could grow it long again though, as it would be so much easyer to care for.

Ms. pickles: YW.

Well, do you think it can kind of exude a business-like confidence?

Long hair on a girl for sure... Nice and wavy or light curls. Super straight is alright too. I like it when they have enough long hair to put some of it up and let the rest hang low. There are not too many girls who keep nice long hair anymore cause it's probably a lot more work... but wow does it make a difference IMO as far as physical attraction =) It's probably more appealing cause it's so rare today but yeah.

Pretty much the way my hair is, except a little more pepper in it yet. :)
It does give a clean and well orginised look though. :)

Ms. pickles: So you really do think that the regular shaving over the ears and neck gives a welcome 'clean and well organized' look, then?

I think it can, but I have also heard some remarks over the years that were not so favorable.
One man actually claiming that women who wore their hair that short were not an example for God.
It hurt a bit, but he didn't know me or why my hair was short. :)

I just like the cut myself as it is easy to maintain, especially when my hands flair with arthritis.
I don't like looking messy. :(lol:)
I hope it will soon be all white, grey, like in the picture, a few years yet to go but almost there. :)

Ms. pickles:

Well, like you say, a clean and well organized look from regular shaving over the ears and neck can give a womanly professional sense of no nonsense, self-possession, I guess; and it also make the earrings a bit more prominent. (And it can often be combined with being a bit tufty on top.)

Blessings.

(Sorry about your arthritis.)

1 Corinthians 11:15
But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for
her hair is given her for a covering.

[h=3]Proverbs 16:31[/h]King James Version (KJV)

31 The hoary head is a crown of glory, if it be found in the way of righteousness.

These are really the only verses that I know of about hair. I don't think women should be so quick to cut off their hair or dye it (but that's not this discussion). I have cut my hair before. In fact, 10 inches of my thick, wavy, brown locks were donated to wigs for kids.

I love my hair long. When I pray in church, I sometimes use it to veil my face when I pray. It makes me feel like it's just me and God. Will I cut my hair again? No, not unless I got it unintentionally caught in something gooey and I had no other options.

I understand how hard it is to take care of long hair, including the struggle with brushing with arthritis (I know. "you're too young". it's hereditary). Growing up I got thick mats on the back of my head often, looked like mice were nesting in my hair. Now I still get mats, but not as bad. I use a lot of shampoo and it takes a while for my hair to dry. But, I think it's worth it.

If God has the men folk trim their hair and give women beautiful hair to grow out, there must be a reason. Right? I love what God formed in me while I was in my mother's womb. I wouldn't trade it for worldly favor.
