a forest known for a place of suicides?

hmm. well in my town theres a bridge that people could jump off but not really a forest. Theres a surf beach that is known for huge rips that there has to be lifeguards patrolling it.

I think you'll find that many areas around the world have pockets of despair and tragic but also, places that are intensely beautiful and life affirming, so I would focus on those.

Japan might be known for its crazy busy lifestyle, but its also got its peaceful culture, like its gardens, spring blossoms, origami, teppanyaki, tea ceremonies, and Marie Kondo showing americans how to tidy up.
