I picked up a beer called La Rossa. It's Italian. Not bad. Never thought of Italians making anything but wine.
Yes... they have a few pretty good ones. When we were there, it seems that the most common was Birra Moretti... and also Peroni (Perroni?) Both were pretty good.

So how did the gun show go? Are they selling a lot of the EBR's ? (evil black rifle)

They had plenty of black rifles, but no one is buying them. You can buy guns cheaper at a store than a show. Really it was disappointing. Gun shows use to have more variety of vendors, some selling hard to find parts for antique firearms. I have and old colt pocket .25 that I'm searching for some parts. Nothing like that anymore.

Tonight I'm enjoying a Spaten optimator. Tasty

My favorite drink of choice is Holy Spirit Wine - absolutely deep laughter that is uncontrollable and so refreshing! The hangover is incredible happiness.

However, when it's not flowing..........Crown and Coke! :)

Never really cared for beer....maybe a glass of wine or a *vodka orange every now and then when I fly for 17 hours non-stop to Sydney from Dallas......oh shucks......the losers of salvation can now come out from under the woodwork and point the law at me....I agree with hornetguy....JESUS made wine, and came eating and drinking and was accused by the hyper religious LOST MEN.....

*Grey Goose that is hahahhahah

Absolutely gotta have Peeps. What you bought is what I wrote in a post a few days ago. Easter candy is good stuff.

Growing up, both my parents were chimneys.... us kids on the other hand never caught on. It was never something that we took interest in, as well as alcohol - but I have drunk alcohol on special occasions but I’ve stopped completely since meeting my love, Jesus :)

For those of you backsliders who occasionally enjoy a good neat whisky, might I suggest you try Tincup? Blended in Colorado, made somewhere in the Midwest....

It's rapidly becoming my "go-to" adult beverage. Very nice, smooth, with an almost vanilla-like aroma/flavor.

avg price about $23.... definitely affordable.

You may now resume normal programming.

It does sound really good tho, especially if were accompanied by a babyback slider...

Also made me realize I miss the tin cup I used to drink water out of, making it taste more ice cold. I'm going to have to ask ma what ever happened to it.

Maybe we need a dedicated liquor thread?
Well anyway, you got me started.
I'm a whiskey guy who takes time off in the summer to be a tequila
guy, and recently found out by accident I'm also a vodka guy.

If I weren't a budget drinker, I'd try more of these "craft" boozes.
What I buy mostly is called Idaho Gold Canadian at about $18-a-handle.
For that price you'd think it'd be rot-gut, but it's not.
It's very good mixed with 7-Up and a lime wedge.
Another bargain I've recently discovered is Seagram's vodka.
When it goes on sale it's less than $20-a-handle and is excellent in juice.

Concerning tequila, one should only drink
it if it says "100% agave" on the label.
Anything else is what's known as a "mixto",
and those are what give tequila a bad reputation.
Hornitos and Herradura are our brands of choice, but they're
kind of expensive, so only purchased very occasionally.
Best bang for the buck seems to be Lunazul.

I must sound like a raging drunkard, but it's not the case.
We just enjoy drinks on occasion,
and won't justify buying top-shelf booze when
there are mouths to feed and bills to pay.

Salud!

Yes, it's amazing the difference in a 100% agave tequila, and the other "house" tq's...

Making margaritas with good tq, a good mixer, and Grand Marnier is a wonderful experience.....

I've tried some of the higher end single malts (scotch), and I think I like some of the blends better than the singles. Perhaps my palate isn't sophisticated enough.

I like Laphroig and Lagavullin, but I wouldn't enjoy them on a daily basis... Dewar's 12 or 15 yr blend, or even Famous Grouse is just as pleasing to me.

And, I'm with you Huck... I don't drink all that much... a double with a cigar perhaps twice a week... three times at the most.
