I could never shoot anyone with a gun. I know this. In any case, where I live (a large city), I have never had a problem. People in many other Countries find it "odd" that Americans are so obsessed with guns and that we can own them and even carry. I tend to agree.

Americans are not obsessed, other nations are not citizens, they are subjects. You have tended to agree with wrong thinking. That wrong thinking has also led you to believe exercising your responsibility to protect yourself and others means looking forward to shooting someone.
As a Christian we must look at the world through the lens of G-d, not ourselves and our own narrow world. Jesus constantly looked out for the good of others, never for His own selfish interests. He is the model for how we are to live.
If you get your faith right, the way you must to hear the words "well done. good and faithful servant" you will understand.
It isn't for ourselves that we participate in the shooting sports, it is for others. As people who introduce others in the safe handling and use of firearms, especially our Hunters Safety Programs, we know when a young man wants something, his ears open up and HE PAYS ATTENTION! That is a very important time we can put the positive life lessons in, his responsibility to himself, his family, community, Creator, etc.

They do? I have no fear of guns. I just dont need one, never did. I dont like hunting (unless it is for food one will eat) and I dont like shooting at targets. Not into it.
Guns have nothing to do with Kingdom of Light and Kingdom of Darkness (if by that you mean heaven and hell).
Whatever. Not my thing.

Participating in the shooting sports and exercising the freedom and responsibility to own a firearm does not require one to shoot a person. I have fire insurance on my home, I do not intend to burn it down, I have auto insurance, I do not plan to crash a car or run into someone.
Americans are citizens, not subjects, we are not "obsessed" with firearms. We exercise our G-d given freedoms, the world has a model to follow just a Christians have the model of Christ to follow.

The Ruger Single-Six and the Ruger Vaquero are two different models. The Single Six has been on the market since the 50's whereas the Vaquero wasn't introduced until the 90's. Although they are both single action revolvers they don't share calibers.

20 years back I had a Vaquero in 44 mag. It quickly became one of my favorites.

I haven't really shot this gun enough to know where it would print for me, instinctively. I don't anticipate any drastic changes, but I need to get out and put some rounds downrange. This Sig is still very new for me. My PT111 fits me pretty well, and I usually hit pretty much where I want to at 3 yds with it, instinctively. I haven't shot the Sig enough to know.... yet....

I also realized my previous post made it sound like I made them. I did not. I bought them from Cherokee Hills grips... Bob is a great guy to work with. He makes grips for a LOT of pistols.... lots of different designs, on lots of different woods... olive wood, curly maple, walnut, curly koa.... the choices are impressive.

I like the idea of hunting, but I have a feeling that if I actually killed something... I dunno

Steph, do you realize how many deer starve to death during the winter from lack of food? By thinning out the herds we end up saving many more from their starvation. It has been proven that wildlife management is better maintained by thinning before winter. Overall all they fare much better by hunting them. It may seem cruel but compare to nature it is more humane. :)

That's fair. I know that like having wolves and stuff helps the ecosystem in the same way

The mere thought that hunters would sacrifice their comfort at home beside the fire with loving family for the overall good of our forest friends brings a tear to my eye.
