I hear many people speaking against our military and government, saying it is evil and other stupid stuff. First let say that if you are so against our government or military, there are 192 other countries you could move to. Pick one. Until then.. Zip it. Freedom is not free. Next time you see someone who has a friends or family over seas, go to that person and slap him in the face, because that is what you are doing everytime you say something stupid like that. Those who don't appreciate freedom don't deserve to have it. I know people are entitled to their opinions, but such blatent disrespect is unacceptable and should not be tolerated.

"Experience has shown, that even under the best forms of government those entrusted with power have, in time, and by slow operations, perverted it into tyranny."

Funny how people say disrespectful things about our troops while they sit in comfort of their homes watching tv and eating potato chips. AS if they know whats going on

I'm kind of amazed how u would want to stop people from speaking their minds about the government and the military, even if they were wrong or right.Think for a minute about God,he is the creator and sustainer of the universe, the bible says ,He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.I can't count how many people living today who have said harsh things about God, yet, He hasn't dismissed or banished them from planet earth to the other planets. But u feel u can assign places to people.?
Personally ,I feel that the military serves primarily the national interest of the country in matters of eventuality of war.So, no soldier is bad in himself in that respect because he just does what he is told in deployment, and combat from his superior. But what we have seen lately, are some soldiers who can't distinghish between a patriotic war, like that of france or Britain in ww11 defending their country from Nazi germany and egocentric, hegemonious, and blind subservient wars like that of Iraq,Afgan,to name a few which was waged on a misguded premise.Could any true believer who fought that war call himself a hero? The question is what were they fighting for?Did they find WMD there? Or how could a stable country be brought to ruins and rubbles just for the sake of a few in power. Was all the lives and infrastructure, displacement, deaths in millions lost worth it?Maybe that country will never be in peace again or return to its former glory until Jesus comes, same with Afgan, and now Libya rationally speaking. Its time those christians in the military knew what the government were up to, before they sign in to become soldiers fighting unjust wars for oil companies.Away with political correctness in matters of free speech because a true democratic society the populace have the right to question their governments.Since they are their servants and not their masters.

I have nothing but absolute respect for the military and the brave and selfless men and women who serve this country.

I have nothing but absolute disdain for our government and the manipulative, thieving, money grubbing criminals that currently run it.

It's better to voice your opinion and speak out against the evils that plague this country than to be a coward and flee to somewhere else while things remain bad here. That's my stance on it, and it's my God given right to express it, just as it's anyone else's right to ignore it or berate me for having an opinion rather than being passive and ignorant.

hmm... we should censor people who have opinions that are not pro-government? Ooo, goodie, who do we censor next? Maybe religious fanatics. Cause history shows us censorship is the way to go.
I appreciate what the military does for us. I appreciate my freedoms, i do not appreciate lying, greedy politicians who are gradually trying to take my freedoms from me. And guess what... i have the RIGHT to feel that way. I am not anti-american. i am not anti-governement. I am against what our current government has become and the people that brought us to this place, there is a distinction.

The US government is run by manipulative, thieving, etc., etc., individuals? These are serious charges, and I assume you have correspondingly convincing evidence.

Let's have more objectiveness, please, which is really hard for those of a certain political philosophy. Turning a disagreement over policy into charges of criminal behavior is ludicrous.

Bombast and sweeping statements only impress the weak-minded.

I never understood why people like the military. Sure they risk their lives but for what cause? I'm sure it's not freedom. The military is just a tool used in a game where people's interests are not included. It's a power struggle runned by the people who are really in charge. The real goal is conquest and consolidation of power. Not the protecton and freedom of it's people.

Oh. So you're saying people should have their their freedom to voice their opposition to government policy curtailed because using that freedom is an insult to those who purportedly serve the cause of freedom?

Your ridiculous hypocrisy is astounding and amusing at the same time.

Still it's no reason to get mad at the military. Get mad at the idiots who put them into action when they shouldn't and be happy that there's people out there ready to fight for your freedom and security even when the people who deploy them are idiots.

I'm not mad at the soldiers. Soldiers are not the problem. It's the miiitary system itself. The blind complience required to make it effective is exactly what makes it a tool in which turns citizens into pawns of a chess game.

My whole post was not on the military BTW

ITA.

I posted something similar last night and it isn't there now. Was it removed by a moderator or is there a glitch?

Oh, that's odd. You know, I thought it was an American principle that government is supposed to be by the people and for the people? Do you think anyone who challenges the government should leave the country?

I am sure I'm not the only one on this Christian site who has fought for the freedoms of this country, so that those who want to be heard, whether I agree with them or not, have that freedom. Our government is comprised of our neighbors. Our government is made up of people who had the discipline to continue toward a higher education, seeking to make a mark for the regions of the land they represent. If there is something that you see is good, or see that is just plain wrong, if you do not play an active role in both parts, to help make a difference with your own life; than it can be said without prejudice, that you are no different than those you accuse.

True, there are a lot of people who just whine about problems rather than doing anything about it, but I'm not sure just because they're lazy means they should leave.

Actually, most of the people I know who see problems with our country also work to make it a better place.

All governments are corrupt or evil in some way, there's no such things as a perfect government or system on earth.
