I'm not sure that is a correct definition being used to describe Christ..........Joseph married Mary.........just saying......

I believe the definition of bastard is a child born to an unmarried woman right?
bas·tard
ˈbastərd/
noun
noun: bastard; plural noun: bastards

  • 1.
    archaicderogatory
a person born of parents not married to each other.

synonyms:
illegitimate child, child born out of wedlock

• Sounds like you got the definition correct...

I always thought it was a child conceived out of wedlock. Learned something today.... win!

There are many questions I wish I could ask God but I think a little mystery is good.

One thing I'd want to know is why did God make insects? Especially roaches and flies. Roaches creep me out so much and flies are so darn annoying. Insects are just so icky.

WHY, GOD, WHY? DID YOU DO IT FOR THE LULZ OR WHAT?
Funny, because I was just thinking about insects. We were wondering if it was like God made them to be useful in a pre-fall world, (not to say that some bugs aren't useful today, but it certainly seems like some of 'em aren't) and post-fall they lost some of their usefulness and became annoying and even harmful. Dunno, but that's how it seemed to happen in the plant kingdom so.... Anyway, in heaven you can look forward to a annoying/harmful bug free zone! :D

Today a very small bottle of pure Frankincense oil costs around $70.00. Don't know about Myrrh.
How much does it cost if you don't have to import it and don't turn it into a oil? It grows in that region. I think of it like Maine lobster. Maine lobster costs us folks who don't live near Maine a pretty penny, but it is cheaper for Maineiacs. And the comparison isn't that far apart either, since it takes seven years to harvest the resin from the tree.

I marvel that the Israelites had enough of the stuff with them to keep the aroma going in the Tabernacle nonstop for 39 years in the wilderness. And they could only use the good stuff. They used the inferior stuff for stomach problems and breathing problems.

(Sorry. Haven't hit myrrh yet in my studies, but I'm like you to a degree although I'm still a beginner. I like using herbs and spices for stuff. I'm more into just using them to smell, but if I can come up with a good enough excuse, I'm planting it in my garden. Wrong conditions for frankincense. Already checked. lol)

They are carion, so they eat dead meat. Considering what dead meat smells like after a week, that's probably a good thing. Although, ewww! BUGS!!!!! My biggest phobia!

VVhat did the apostles know of/believe that they were capable of healing all who were sick? Not them but the Lord through them. How do we get similar results?

Acts 5:16 King James Version (KJV)

16 There came also a multitude out of the cities round about unto Jerusalem, bringing sick folks, and them which were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed every one.
Yeah! Really!!!

There was a spider crawling on my brother in law's car and the Holy Spirit said, "Beautiful." VVhere as we may have a fear of spiders, He simply said beautiful. He was speaking of life.
I'd be out of the car running down the street before I could even hear "beautiful!"

Sadly, all of them are useful, even the ever-annoying mosquito. (I considered praying tat God would wipe them out, but then I read how they were useful, so thought it wasn't a good idea to pray them gone -- except maybe just gone out of my backyard.)

I've also always wondered why John the Baptist had to eat locusts... Was there any significance?

And speaking of John, even Jesus calls him great, why he had to have his head cut, what was the significance of that? It kinda scares me when thinking about missions and stuff. If John prayed and asked God to spare him from that kind of death, would God have granted it? Would he still be considered great then?
Locusts were food in OT times, were they nt, with grasshoppers and others. But it is also like a sign of lowliness, wc john was full of, from his clothing to his food.
And..welcome back. Suddenly disappearing makes some worried adn wondering.

He was Jesus...
King of Peace.

King of Righteousness.

Surely sounds like the Lord Jesus Christ to me as well...

Hebrews 7:2 To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace;

I don't get how God justice works when he treats people differently (ie "but for Cain and his offering he had no regard" )
Does that mean that I mean nothing to God just because I can't do things as perfectly as others?
No the opposite.
Cain's offer was his own effort. Abel offered blood. God doesn't pay attention to someone only giving Him some of his own good works. Then you wouldn't have to get saved and just give some money to church now and then.

I'm impressed with people who know everything about end times, Revelations, Daniel. But I had a 10 (highest grade) for my Dutch epistle about end times in school. I just wrote what I had read in the book of Hal Lindsay and the teacher was impressed since he knew absolutely nothing about it LOL.

LOL good luck finding such a person my friend:)
No one ever knows everything about the end times or even about the bible or about faith or about God ect.
We all have different pieces of the puzzle some have more than others and some have pieces that appear to be part of the same puzzle but just got mixed in with the box

-- Soul and spirit. I don't get how these are two different things, what the difference is, or how to tell. I've read the words in original language and looked up definitions for their use. Even tried a word study. STILL don't get it!

I tend to think of
The body as being that good looking thing you see in the mirror.

The sole as being our personality, what makes us, us. Our conscious etc.

The spirit as the indwelling Holy Spirit who takes up residence when we
are born again. That part of us which comes alive.
Or for that matter the other kind of spirit where people give
themselves over to the dark side.

Another thing I know almost nothing about: the O.T.
If I hear Michael Brown teaching the Trinity to Jewish rabbi's from the O.T.: Wow!
I read a book from an old family member who was Jewish who found out that Jesus had to be the Messiah because the exact time was in the O.T. and a lot of other texts: impressive. Lol I've had a debate with someone who converted to Judaism and I just copy pasted it.

The seven spirits of God confuses me. I've heard various
ideas but I'm still confused.

I find something not lining up. The Magi brought gifts of great value. Would they have brought something as common as a field weed? Even if we try to claim some sort of "symbolism" expressed in the gifts, it doesn't ring true when you consider their purpose was to honor and worship this child king.
