23 deg F on the way to work this morning.... just checked, still 23 deg... it's supposed to warm up to 50 today, and the highs this weekend will be back in the low 60's...
We've already had more winter than I like.

Right now my phone says we will get down to 8° tonight. Fahrenheit. That's not nearly enough degrees for West Tennessee.

At least it's only temporary. We will get back to normal tomorrow. Whatever normal is for here.

Somebody in chat said she didn't know It got that cold in Tennessee. I said yeah, no, It doesn't. This is an aberration and an abomination, and somebody needs to fix this immediately.

The mayor might just get impeached over this...

Can you please make sure he’ll get impeached over Rogue Waves too?

The mayor? I don't see how even the most radical left or radical right citizen in our fair town could pin that one on him.

What in the world?
How do you live out there?
Why haven’t you sued the state over those unacceptable temperatures?

Did you know Canadians live underground in the winter?
The whole city of Montreal and Toronto has whole cities underground.

I guess we just get used to it.
What is worse, is the wind. It can get very windy here, making it feel even colder. You have to pay attention to the wind forecast as much as the temperature forecast for this reason.

Yeah that’s exactly the problem here, the wind.
When you go outside it feels like someone hits you with a sheet of metal in the face.
Love it !

The weathermen said that the whole northern U.S. will get hit by a polar storm this week and maybe the next.
I just hope the lights and heat stay on.
We’ve lost power a couple of times here in the past 20 years and it wasn’t fun to stay indoors with a snow jacket and gloves.

It's agony getting through the cold in that condition!
I hope you won't have any power outages anytime in the days ahead! 🙏

At the moment of writing this thread it is 23 degrees celcius, was a bit showery earlier but I went outside to hang the laundry after work and could feel the sun burning my neck. So a sunny warm day in Auckland New Zealand perfect with a little breeze at 5.37 pm Tues 13 Dec 2022.
Cold here in Louisiana - 30s down into the teens at night.
