It is almost "blasphemy" for some people to even entertain the notion that the Spiritual world is more real than this realm we live in here on Earth. They actually mock it at every opportunity.
Exactly! The Atonement, the Cross of Jesus Christ is our reality and every time people believe their works or their obedience are what save and keep them, they are mocking the Cross. We were crucified with Christ, it's no longer our mortal bodies which are alive but the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ in us. Our temporal has been done away with and we won't face death because we're alive forever with Christ Jesus right now. The things which are seen are invisible in God's realm in glory. And the things which are not seen, the spiritual realm in glory is our reality now and forevermore.

I was walking yesterday in the hot breeze here in Texas and talking with the Lord about the future of the earth. I was kind of anxious about the state of our country, the world and just a bunch of other nagging things. And all of a sudden I realized time doesn't even exist in God's realm. It overwhelmed my carnal mind and my spiritual eyes saw a glorious NOW right in front of my face - I mean literally in front of my spiritual eyes - the Great I AM right now, always! I can't even type the words to describe it correctly but all I saw was Almighty glorious Lord always was and is and is to come. And my dull mind couldn't perceive it! My brain went blank. But I saw it in my spirit!!

I was so overwhelmingly joyful because I got a teeny, tiny glimpse of eternal glory of the Lord and I could hardly contain it!!!! My mind took a back seat to my spirit and for a little moment I was not in this carnal world. Sounds crazy, right? Hahaha!! But the Lord saw my worrying about the future and was such a wonderful and faithful and loving Father to comfort me with the hope of His glory.

I thank God our Father that He has such kind mercy on this silly ol' woman. :)

There were two trees in the garden. One led to knowledge, the other to life. :)

But neither of these pills is "forbidden". It is strictly your own choice as to which way you will spend your life. So this comparison isn't in the mix.

You real sure? For the majority of our "beliefs", I expect that the red pill would blow most of our treasured and protected dogmas right out of the water. And you see, right here on CC, the vehement resistance to that ever being allowed to happen.

People seem to often fight harder for "what they now believe", than for what might more closely resemble Jesus' teaching.
That's why it helps sometimes to explain a truth by using a parable maybe the people on cc would find it easier to swallow and revelation will silence bad doctrine unless the person has a lot of pride.
People prefer truth even if they don't know it.

you mean lukewarm?(so to speak)
I'm not really asking how you "act", but rather what you actually UNDERSTAND..... that might turn out to be completely the opposite of what you believe and are thoroughly happy and comfortable with right this minute.

(This is assuming that no matter which pill you choose, your Salvation won't be at risk.) It's just that you KNOW that the red one is ALL TRUTH, and may, or may not alter the way you now see God and how you worship.

Would you take the chance that what you believe to be absolutely correct might have been all wrong if you take the red pill....... OR, maybe you have been right all along, and nothing will change.

Again...... Would you take the chance?

I started this thread for a reason. That reason is that I have seen multiple posts on here in which people state that they, emphatically, will NOT watch a video, nor read a book, nor listen to a sermon by certain people (or people they group a certain way)......... BECAUSE they have been told by others that these people are teaching something they better stay away from. In many cases, they know nothing about these people they fear, other than what they have been told they are to believe.

( The line to re-stock your supply of blue pills, forms right over here......)

I'm allergic to the color blue.

You should have offered the "Chill Pill" as an option.

Our concepts of religion... and our need for those views to be real are interesting.

Would you say you are a blue pill person, or a red pill person?
Christians are to live by faith but to be honest there are a lot of blue pill type(Christians)

people feel comfortable being able to believe what they can perceive with there knowledge senses(5 senses) but the bible says we walk by faith and not by sight.

I'm in total agreement with that statement. It was very difficult for me to begin questioning some of the old Sacred Cows that I had accepted all my life simply because I had been told I was supposed to believe them.

What I am finding amusing (in a sad way) is that many people will proclaim that they definitely would go with the red pill........ UNTIL you remind them that, after taking the red pill, they just might wake up the next morning understanding that their greatest fears or objects of hatred (like, maybe, Joel Osteen... or WOF) are Biblical and true.

I think a spiritual minded person would remember what the WORD says and recognize the truth in whatever situation they find themselves in and be confidently obedient to GOD's WORD knowing that GOD is faithful and almighty and GOD is true to his WORD.

Not sure I understand what you are saying.

May the OP rest in peace and may God have mercy on his soul.

For me who is still on this side, i would like to stay blue-pilled on certain things.
Today in our Bible meeting we were talking about the various interpretations of Christianity and the priest mentioned so many names for which i have no clue about and neither i'm interested to know.
Like, evangelists, Baptists, dispensationalists, depravity or whatever that means, cessationalists and a lot of other ISTs for which i have no clue about what they are, what they do and where they come from.

I think that this is typical western thought process where you are defined by something and you give a new synonym to your belief which is based on some common root word.
So, that's all i'm going to take from this subject and i will stay happily in my blue pill because i don't need to know what you call yourself after you read a verse or a paragraph. :)

As i've mentioned before i don't classify these denominations or ideas as right or wrong, but as a way for a group of people or an individual to reach God in their own journey.

If all would meditate upon apostasy and what it means, perhaps many would come to an understanding.

I know our Lord, Jesus Yeshua did foretell that apostasy would abound before He was to return. What denomination do any suppose Jesus Yeshua would have been. I believe it is something to do with being children of Abraham, with the faith of Abraham.

This would not be a denomination, rather it is a Way of Life. I believe.

Perhaps, were we to travel back before any additions to the Word and think of ouselves as living while Jesus Yeshua was here, to save us all?
