Do these sores occur after injury (even small scratches etc) or just on their own?

Have you tried changing soaps for when you shower, or even going without soap at all (as icky as that sounds). Most soaps today are not soaps at all, but detergents. These will strip skin of nutrients. Try a bar of real soap with a gentle wash cloth. Either a tallow (animal fat) based soap or a castille (vegetable based) soap will moisturize much better than a traditional soap, and it is naturally antibacterial without adding any chemicals to make it so (since soap is not PH neutral).

This stuff doesn't have to be terribly expensive either. It will cost more than a detergent based soap, but if you use a wash cloth, a bar of soap will last you 1.5-3 months once you learn how to lather it.

Red Palm Oil, the staple oil in the Africa and Asia continents, naturally contains unique phytonutrients that are proven to be beneficial to human health. The oil palm (Elaeis guineensis), from which red palm oil is derived contains the phytonutrients tocotrienols (vitamin E), mixed carotenoids, phytosterols, squalene and coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10). Of these, the tocotrienols and carotenoids in particular, are proven to confer health benefits such as potent cardioprotection, neuroprotection and skin nutrition; asmentioned by Dr. Mehmet Oz in his recent TV program, where he called it his most miraculous find in 2013 to address the aging process. Try having a milk bath. Milk is great for skin, it softens, hydrates and soothes!

My husband once had dry skin and the dermatologist recommended Cerave. It worked well for him. If you have manicure gloves you could wear them to allow your skin to absorb the lotion while you sleep.

Every morning try a mug of warm water with half lemon juice. One of many benefits is it helps clear the skin :)

The seaweed bath company have a range of products that are great for skin. The owner suffers from something similar to you and it was what inspired him to start the company --> The Seaweed Bath Co. | Naturally Nourishing and Soothing Skincare

Not sure if this will work for your condition but my favorite moisturizer is Palmers cocoa butter. I use it after every shower, usually twice each day. I love it and it smells great. I'm always taking care of my skin and this is at the top of my list as a beauty must have :)

Great minds think alike.

Just kidding, I'd never insult you by comparing your mind to mine :p

What do you use to wash your clothes? That's the only thing I can think of that might be preventative for you since you already removed the biggest offender (soap). Certain foods can also cause reactions on the skin, but I'm drawing a blank as to which ones right now.

As for as something that might help fix it. You might want to try some shea butter or coconut oil. Both are super moisturizing.

I use two different laundry soups, and double rince, sometimes even triple, and this is after the regular wash.

I have been drinking an herbal tea to help circulation, and the wounds are imroving, so do believe it has to do with diabetes and circulation.
I see dr tomorrow, finally, so hopefully will learn more then.

Thankyou and God bless

I don't have damage to blood vessels due to diabetes, but my veins are damaged resulting in sores that will not heal just as yours are. When there is good blood circulation around a sore, it will heal. I do everything the doctors say to do to promote circulation, but I have added some alternative medicine ideas that seem to be helping.

I put whole lemons in the blender (I have a vitamix) because of the flavonoids in the peel. I keep this in the freezer and make lemonade out of it daily. I also add some fresh ginger root that I keep the same way, by mincing it in the blender and freezing it. I use a little water in the blender to help it mince finer.

Garlic is a wonderful help, but it needs to be raw for the best. Hard to take, and I don't trust the pills. So I mince it in the blender, freeze it, and take it like taking a pill. The dose is three cloves daily.

Vitamin C and E are both helps in strengthening blood vessels to improve circulation. But when you take vitamin C, the body does not retain it so the help it brings is very short lived. The body also uses only a tiny bit at a time and gets rid of all the rest. I buy it in powered form and put it in the water I sip during the day.

There are two powerful supplements to help. Alpha-Lipoic Acid and L-Arginine.

If the sore is where you can bind it tightly, it helps the old blood that surrounds the sore go away. Mine are on my legs, I had heavy elastic stockings made to my measurements so my legs are tightly bound.

I have also found that vibration of the area helps, even if my doctors says it doesn't. One person uses ultrasound. I use a powerful vibrator.

Hi! I hope that you have and are receiving complete healing - in Jesus Name.

Have you looked into sea salt water to help with cleaning the wound and to help facilitate healing?

There may be sea salt ratio suggestions posted somewhere online...could be around like .9% sea salt (about a heaping tea spoon of sea salt to about 4 cups of clean boiled water - I can't remember exactly off the top of my head)

Hope you have a wonderful day :)

Keeping the wound moist might improve the healing process by 40% faster. (maybe a moist paper towel to the wound throughout the day)

Have considered more exercise for better circulation?

Hope your body heals completely. In Jesus Name.

Thankyou all so much for your help.
Saw my dr last week, and tests showed I have had a staff infection in my skin.
So on antibiotics for now, and if one of the wounds does not improve, dr wants to do a biopsi.
I have faith in Jesus that all will be soon healed though. :)
Getting older does come with some bugs. :)

I recently discovered Frankincense and Myrrh for healing. It is anti bacterial and anti viral, and has special healing qualities. I use the oil rather than the essential oil, it seems to me that has less processing besides it is cheaper. Just breath that wonderful odor is worth buying the oil.

My departed wife had the same problem with sores not healing. Have you tried zinc oxide? Also, you might try cleaning the wound with a solution of hydrogen peroxide as this contains necessary oxygen. This seemed to work somewhat. I have said a prayer for healing for you.
