Roy, @commodoredude
Thanks for your message and prayers. I’m ok, fatigued a lot. No family here, just me and my pitbull Ace. To answer your question on did I grow spiritually, I think I do each and every week through prayer, reading God’s word and mediation upon it. Plus, with Covid, have had a lot of downtime to listen to sermons back to back and that’s a great help. How are you holding up?
Howzit!

I’m holding up, thanks buddy. I’m glad you can catch up on some audio sermons. I had fun the other day putting a new album together called “Give And You Shall Receive”, with music that I’ve heard before (and wanted) but wasn’t in my collection. It’s become quite a hobby of mine - going to YouTube and finding music that I used to have, but lost a long time ago!

God bless, we’ll chat soon!

Roy.

Dear Ruby,

How's it going with the artwork? I'd love to see some of your art, please!

As promised, here is the e-mail I told you a week ago that I'd send. How are you and your family? Do you feel like you've made any spiritual progress this past week?

Please stay in touch with me and keep me regularly updated. God loves you so much, so stay close to Him! I'll follow-up with you a week from now.

God Bless, Roy.
Hi Roy, art work is on hold for the moment. I am not at home atm but when I return I will look into it then. Thanks for checking. Hope all is well with you.

Dear Magenta,

I'm praying that your art would touch the hearts and lives of those who see it. Thanks for being my friend!

You need to stay close to Jesus because He's the Only One Who will get you through these difficult COVID-19 lock-down times. I'm praying for you every day, so you must never feel alone. God also understands you very well and knows what you need.

Please stay in touch with me and keep me regularly updated. God loves you so much! I'll follow-up with you a week from now.

God Bless, Roy.
Thank you, Roy, and good morning :) I have been feeling very tired a lot lately, since undergoing two medical procedures last week, so have not been feeling very motivated to do any designing, but have not forgotten about our little project for your FB page :D

This is just a suggestion - have you considered starting a thread in some other forum to keep in touch with people, instead of continuing to post here in the Introductions' Forum?

Hi Magenta,

Yes,, I was thinking along the lines of communicating with you and my other friends on a different thread. I’ll tag you and others when I’ve started that thread.

Right now, I’m just having a heart-to-heart with God. Because I have high-functioning autism, the process of moving from a plain friendship to marriage confuses me so much. What to say, when to say it, what to do and what not to do and complicated things like that. And autism isn’t something you can just pretend I’ll grow out of and won’t bother me anymore. It’s a real, lifelong problem and causes much damage and confusion to people’s love lives in particular!

God bless, we’ll chat later.

Thanks Magenta - that was a very special video "Just be yourself." God was also very helpful today, and sent me an angel I asked Him for, to cheer me up.

Chat later!
You are welcome, Roy :) I love that song! I used to have that "Just be yourself" part playing as my outgoing message for my phone's voicemail :D I met Jann Arden once, too, and while I was waiting in line, the record store played that song as the people in front of me were greeting Jann, and asking her where her songs came from. The combination of that song playing, and hearing her say, "I do not know," made me cry. How could she not know that her songs came from the depths of her heart and soul? I asked if I could give her a hug when we finally met, and she came out from behind her table so we could embrace each other :) She wrote some lovely messages on the CDs I had for her to sign :D I saw her in concert five times, also(y) At an earlier concert I called out between songs, "I love you Jann!" and she quipped right back, "Where were you when I was in high school?" She has such a self deprecating sense of humor :giggle:

Hi Magenta,

I'm trying to get a new thread started, but I'm not sure whether to make a new forum or a new thread under an existing forum? I'm so glad you got to go to Jann Arden's concerts. I have some questions that I'd like to ask you and nobody else if you would answer them, please. Thanks.

The forums are comprised of pre-existing categories. I would suggest "Miscellaneous" for your new thread :)

Ask away :)

@Isny , @Godsgirl83 , @Scribe , @melly4jesus , @Demi777 , @MendedSoul , @Magenta , @Ruby123 : I pray God has been taking care of all you guys, my dear friends. I found this following daily devotional from Radio Pulpit today very helpful about praying without ceasing until your prayer is answered. I'd also encourage you guys to subscribe to Radio Pulpit's daily devotionals, even though they are based in South Africa. Here's the link: Subscribe to Radio Pulpit's "The Word For Today".

Now read today's daily devotional:

Soul food: 1 Sam 16; 1 Sam 17:32-51; Acts 13:21-22
During his lifetime, nineteenth-century British evangelist George Muller "prayed in" more than $7.5 million to feed the orphans in his care - more than $113 million in today's terms. He didn't believe in broadcasting his financial needs, yet he always had enough to pay his grocery bill - because God supernaturally provided. However, Muller's faith was stretched in other ways. For example, he prayed regularly over a list of five men he earnestly desired to see won to Christ. The first man gave his life to Christ after five years, the second and third after ten years, and the fourth after twenty-five years. But here's the clincher: Muller prayed for the fifth man's conversion for a whopping fifty-two years! In fact, the man made a profession of faith in Christ a few months after Muller's funeral. Would you pray about something for fifty-two years without some visible sign of an answer? You should, and you must! In Muller's own words: "God delights to increase the faith of His children. We ought, instead of wanting no trials before victory, no exercise for patience, to be willing to take them from God's hands as a means. Trials, obstacles, difficulties, and sometimes defeats, are the very food of faith." If you're praying and asking God, "Will You?" His answer is, "I will!" Psalm 91:15 tells us, "He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honour him" (NKJV). And in Jeremiah 33:3, God says, "Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know" (NKJV). So the word for you today is - keep praying and believing.

Dear Isny,

Thank you so very much for your kind e-mail. You are now on my daily prayer list!

Thank you so very much for your kind words. I'm here to serve you guys, not the other way around. Servant hearts are what Christ calls us to have.We need to pray for Zimbabwe and South Africa. They're in a terrible mess, and such lawlessness is abounding.

If I may, could you please pray for the following for me?

1) For a giving Christian wife. For God to bring her to me in such an amazing way for us to become friends, even under lock-down. I'd also like to adopt and look after a child, for fear that I'll pass on my autism spectrum disorder onto an unborn baby.

2) That God would cause my epilepsy medication to work and the neurologist's E.E.G. to show no signs of seizures and I'm given permission to drive.

3) For me to give more to others and encourage them to give to others as well. It's the way to keep friendships, relationships and marriages alive, and even to start new ones!

I'll follow-up with you a week from now.

God Bless, Roy.
Hello Roy, you have been in my thoughts and prayers for some time now so I thought that I might make a comment or two.....I only mean to help.

In finding that special young lady, I can only say..... do not rush things. She is likely to show up before long as our Lord will have it. Choosing the one with whom you will spend the rest of your life is one of the most important decisions you will ever make.

Epilepsy medicine. Years ago my wife's nephew, a teen, had an epileptic seizure while driving his car and was killed. The correct medicine must be found to protect you. Not everyone reacts to the same medicine. If you have any doubts, please see another physician or visit an outpatient clinic of a hospital. In most cases epilepsy can be controlled. No, I'm not a physician but this is what I would do in your situation.

Roy. you are in my prayers. Have a good...and safe weekend.

@Isny: Thanks very much for your e-mail. You must have a good and safe weekend too. I've had a REALLY bad week that started on Tuesday night, that had practically the whole world on top of me, including my own mother. But tonight I went looking for professional help that deals mainly with my autism spectrum disorder, and have started to walk a journey with mental health professionals specializing in autism spectrum disorders. I have phone calls to make tomorrow. I also want to type up a document outlining what I actually want my new American life to be like, and taking action. Something like getting a life coach involved.

So, thank you for your prayers for all of this. It is right now that I need you and everybody else on this website to pray for me. I'm so grateful to have your prayer support. There was a time when I was able to keep you and the other members of this website in prayer. Now i'm the one who's in need of prayer!

Thank you again for your prayer support. God Bless!
