I don't think homosexuality is one of the "seven deadly sins?" In Galatians 5:19 it says, "The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery, idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy, drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you , as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God."

Yeah, I'm guilty of a few of those, yikes! Won't say which ones!! So thankful that none of these are the "unforgivable sin" or probably a lot of us would be in trouble lol.

Hello, I am actually not Christian and came here to try to understand one thing, which my parents hate me for. Why is wrong to be gay according to the Bible ? Now before you attack me I am talking about some individuals who think so. Not trying to argue with anyone. I just want to understand.
Out of the many reasons for it to be considered unrighteous, the main reason it is wrong is because God says so. If you believe in Jesus and take the bible as inspired scriptures then homosexuality is a sin and the bible does say so.


So is sex outside of marriage.... Sexual immorality is anything sexual that isn't sanctified by God. (even thoughts that arent held captive after the initial temptation hits)


One man and one woman in marriage in order to be blameless in marriage.

There is nothing inappropriate about this topic, and it does get discussed on a rather regular basis, along with everything else. I do not agree with your mother and other villagers, for you should NOT be kept out of church. Churches are full of sinners! Many recognize their sinful state before a Holy, just, and merciful God, but not all do.

The fact of the matter, Felix, is that we all fall short of the glory of God, and we ALL were rebellious toward God, and were enemies in our minds toward Him, and our behavior and lifestyle reflected that. This is not to excuse ourselves, though. Part of coming to believe includes repenting (turning away) from those things which are contrary to God's will for our lives, and these changes are not all accomplished in one fell swoop. If you sincerely seek to know God and His will for your life, I would suggest you start praying in the morning and in the evening. Your life has meaning and purpose beyond whom you choose to sleep with.

We are all born with a desire to sin. I have struggled with a whole host of sinful behavior.
Before I heard the Gospel, and was born again Spiritually, the sins I committed didn't bother me much. Except for fear of getting caught. I was dead. We are all Spiritually dead until we are born again. At that time the Holy Spirit will come into you, and start to reveal the sin in your life you need to confess and turn from.

There is really no fruit in telling you "homosexuality is a terrible sin that will send you to hell".
That would only serve to push you further away from God.

So you MUST be born again to have eternal life, and you can't be born again until you accept Jesus, and you can't accept Jesus until you are given THE GOSPEL UNTO SALVATION. So here it is:

God became flesh in the form of Jesus Christ. He was born of a virgin, conceived by the Holy Spirit, lived a sinless Holy life, suffered, was crucified, died for our sin, and God the Father raised Him on the day according to the Scriptures.
Now that you have heard it, confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that His Father raised Him to life, and you WILL BE SAVED!

He will then work in your life and sanctify you.

I pray in Jesus Holy Name you will accept His Gospel and be saved.

It's a subjective statement. You may view it as less, or hated, but she may see it a different way. For you that she's against it may be hateful, but not to her. You'd have to be more clear inbwhat you're claiming hate is. That word is quite overused and misused.
Assuming your mother genuinely mistreats you or thinks less of you then she is simply ignorant of the bible and hiding behind a misunderstanding as an excuse to mistreat people.
The bible says to love people. No matter what. Anyone claiming to follow the bible and not doing so is missing it.
God created everything. Sin is a spiritual issue that has an effect on us physically and mentally. Your sin is homosexuality. Others have different sins. God loves us all.
The bible isn't about hate. It's an excuse hateful people use.

But again, your definition of the word may be skewed by modern society/politics. Disagreeing with someone isn't hate. I don't believe homosexuality is right. Doesn't mean I hate you. I've worked with a number of homosexuals over the years. Most were nice people. Even though I disagreed doesn't mean I hated them. It's actually only been the past few years the idea that disagreeing is hateful. And the idea spawned out of the homosexual movement. In our past and all over the world people agree to disagree.

It's perfectly appropriate to ask questions about what the bible says on homosexuality, and to ask about the accompanying theological and philosophical rationale.

It's NOT appropriate for someone to come here as an apologist for their cause, with the intent of just starting arguments.

But if you just want honest answers, then it's perfectly fine to ask questions.



Most Christians, who know the Bible even a little, do NOT hate homosexuals.
We believe MANY things are sin, and we've ALL committed various kinds of sin, and anything which is sin is harmful to YOU.
We believe engaging in any sinful behavior is like sticking your own hand in a fire... it harms you.
We would have no conscience if we saw you putting your hand in a fire, and we made no effort to stop you.

When we say that sin "harms" people, we mean it harms them in MANY ways.
Some of these harms are physical, some are emotional, some are psychological, some are spiritual.
We believe many things are sin, and ALL of us have sinned, and any type of sin is harmful to us... in MANY different ways.

Christians don't say homosexuality is wrong because we dislike homosexuals.
We say it is wrong because it is contrary to scripture, it is contrary to nature, and we believe that it brings great harm to YOU.
We speak up because YOU are being harmed, and we CARE about you... not because we dislike you.

Well, I hoped poor Felix was not scared off. I just wanted to add one thing. No one is "born" homosexual. That is a lie from people with an agenda.

We have a man in our church who was gay for many years. And, he is still very flamboyant! But when he came to Christ, he realized he could not live the lifestyle anymore and left. He eventually met a lovely woman, and they have been married 27 years.

He was part of a panel I attended a few years back, on ministering to gay people. He testified to how God had changed his desires. He is filled with joy and peace, knowing Jesus. Several other people testified about their struggles. One man had decided to become celibate, and another had also become celibate, but said he was seeking God about marrying a woman.

Anyone can change with the help of God. I was an alcoholic before I was saved. God totally took it away from me, and I have never had another drink, in 37 years. But, other sins, God has been dealing with me! But, always better than I was, because God is helping me!

By ministering to gay people, I think that means caring for people, and telling them about Jesus. We can't do much more than that! And he will change you, if you decide you want to know him! Certainly, we should not hate anyone, but always pray for them, and treat them the way Jesus would have treated them.

Let us be honest. A lot of desires in our lives are biological, and sexual desire is one of them.
Any biological system creates impulses to procreate and carry on the organism, or else it would
die out. Now with all biological systems there are variations, some quite aberrant.

All we can do is summarise Gods intension and choices that follow.

There is good reason for bonding to make families. And sexual bonding is only about this, because
that is what works. It is also why sexuality is not that important, compared to oneness we have
in Christ and learning how to walk in the light and be open.

There is nothing that can separate us from the love of Christ or the love He has planted in each
other. When you truly come to see this, you will begin to understand the wonder of His work in
our lives.

It is also why seeing marriage as the fulfillment of everything is a mistake. It is wonderful, if
love grows and prospers, but it is the wider love that changes things.

Because God said so in the Scriptures.. The sexual act of homosexuality is sin according to God.. So two people of the same gender engaging is sex is a against the will of God.. There are many acts and thoughts which are against the will of God.. The message of scriptures is that these acts and thoughts can and are forgiven by human beings believing Jesus and trusting that Jesus paid the penalty for our sins by his death on the cross..

So Christiasn identify the problem ( sin ) and the solution ( the Atonement of Jesus ) ...

PERHAPS the following will help......

Three instances of JESUS condemning homosexuality. First, Jesus said that He came not to abolish the law, but to fulfill it. In other words, the Old Testament law, even in Jesus’ day, WAS STILL IN FORCE and Jesus accepted it. That is the same law that condemns homosexuality in the Book of Leviticus.
Matthew 15 in which JESUS states that ALL SEXUAL ACTS committed OUTSIDE of marriage defile a human being. Matthew 19 in which JESUS said that marriage, as GOD intended it, is the union of one MAN and one WOMAN
Fornication, any sexual act outside of a God approved marriage, is condemned throughout the NT (1 Cor. 6:9-10; Gal 5:19-21; Col. 3:5-6) which INCLUDES, homosexuality, sex with animals, sex with children, ETC.
The moral issues confronting the nation are legion: fornication in all its varied forms, abortion, lasciviousness, and sensuality that parades itself in the media and on the street.
Moral chaos is the result when TRUTH is forsaken.
Psa 9:17 The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.
God gives everyone the opportunity to repent and follow Him UNTIL their last breath is taken.....and THEN comes the JUDGEMENT and they will see the WRATH of God
Romans 1 puts the sin of sodomy in the same list a MURDERS, …I find that interesting.

Rom 1:27-32 And likewise also the men, leaving the NATURAL use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; MEN WITH MEN working that which is UN-seemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a REPROBATE mind, to do those things which are NOT convenient; Being….. filled with all UNrighteousness,….. fornication,….. wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without …..natural affection,…… implacable, UNmerciful: Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

It is easy to see why some people, who are lacking in love for other human beings, or put them in categories, and then shower themselves with magic fairy dust to make themselves look innocent, would have so much distaste for homosexuals, and try and be reminders to them that they are going to hell.

If you are homosexual it doesn't matter how loving you are, it doesn't matter how much you have sacrificed your life for others, it doesn't matter what good you have done for the world, you're all going to hell basically - 'according to the lacking in love'.

This is textbook propaganda, and some people are so naïve to have been enticed by the dangling carrot of truth (of course).

I think what is deemed as an abomination, are those repropates who would 'screw anything'. I think it is pretty obvious that this is an abomination. I don't need a Bible for that.

At no point in the Bible (well I'm still studying but I'm sure I can make an assumption here), will it probably talk about homosexuals who are genuinely homosexual and genuinely love another, just like God loves everyone.

Homosexuals are the scapegoats of Christians for their own sexual perversion. Pointing the finger at 'abominations' makes themselves as if a lamb compared to 'them'. But we all know that is BS, or is this a website of complete virgins? I do not think so in the slightest.

Maybe even this girl was not yet an adult. So basically, homosexuality is worse than paedophilia? Oh wait there, it doesn't say anything about paedophilia in the Bible. SOO, for those against it who are against homosexuality because of the BIBLE, it is their own subjective VIEW. And therefore being against homosexuality to such a scale is also their own subjective VIEW, which they did not get from the BIBLE, they just used the Bible to prop up their own subjective view of homosexuality.

Speaking hypothetically here (to a woman), who has a husband or virgin daughter (lets say she is 11);

A man comes round your house with a gun, and neither of you are armed, and says I want to rape your husband. Do you:

a) Give him your husband, who will hopefully survive such an ordeal, but yet go against the Bible in your terms.
b) Give him your 11 year old daughter, who probably won't survive, however the Bible doesn't particularly go against this in your terms of using the Bible to DEFINE your terms.

Yep, fine line. People do use the Bible for their own subjective views. I'm glad that we are growing out of that in these modern times. And those with hate for homosexuality based on tradition, will be an older generation who will soon die away.

Get with the program, look at the world. You can call it an abomination, but it is just how it is and it's not going away.

Maybe it is becoming Babylon. Maybe the world has ALWAYS been Babylon. The KKK would be on your side, are they the Godly? Babylon; no matter what the view, evil is done. Evil against evil, evil against good, evil for the sake of being evil.
