Tanakh....I think you are getting there a little at a time.... Yes Jesus said these words (plus all of the whole Bible). This means that Jews that believe become a part of the Body of Jesus (His Church) and those in the CHurch are no longer Jews and Gentiles but rather the 'Body of Christ'.

Now there are still those that have been Blinded by Jesus as well...Yes, He said that TOO!. Only until the Fullness of the Church and the removal of the restrainer (Rapture) will their blindness be removed. In Daniel's 70th week these Jews who have come out of Blindness are destined to travel through these 7 years. 2/3 of the Jewish nation will die during this time. The ones that believe in Jesus and his warning through a Prophecy that tells them (in Luke 21) to flea to the Mountains when the Abomination of Desolate happens will be saved by His hands directly. These will be the remnant of Israel that will live through the Millennium. Rem, here that Jesus will instill within this remnant Himself. They will no longer sin against God. It appears that only the gentiles will (during the millennium) will turn away from GOD......I might add WITHOUT SATAN's HELP thus proving that man YES MAN! has the propensity (natural tendency) to do EVIL instead of GOOD. For when Satan is loosed after that 1000 years, He (SATAN) is still able to raise an army of MEN that will plot to destroy Jerusalem again.

And my ramblings shall cease here for at least a while????? The third temple will be rebuilt according to Jesus since the AoD has to take place int he Holy of Holies. At this time there is no temple or Holy of Holies.

Firstly I dont know what you mean by ''Getting there a bit at a time'' If you mean falling for the Dispensationalist/Darbyism delusion I have already been there and have no intention of returning to it.

One wonders whether this New Jerusalem is empty or if not who is living in it?

I leave that to you to work out. I am sure you can devise some explanation. If not perhaps Le Haye explains it in Left behind.

I wonder why the Jews are building the third temple. God will not inhabit it. I understand that the antichrist will inhabit it though

They are not building one at present. Most Israelis have no interest in having one. It seems that Evangelicals are more exited about having one than the Jews themselves. Its strange seeing that many dont think they will be here anyway if one got built.

Imagine how much time is this "third temple thing" and "end time Israel prophecies" consuming...
Seven Years, the same as Antichrist's so-called Peace Covenant.

IT IS LITERALLY THE 70TH WEEK OF DANIEL. The Temple Institute, has all the plans drawn, including where every single block will come from. I imagine many of the blocks are already cut and stockpiled; so when they start building, it will go up fast. I would have to guess that the project will take less than a year. All the Temple Artifacts are already made and ready to go, they know where the Ark of the Covenant is hidden, the Levitte Priests are already Trained and Practicing, they know which Construction Companies will be called to do the work, etc. In a very short period of time after starting the project, it will look like this:

Only it will be located across the road in the lower left corner a few hundred feet down that ridgeline to the South. Josephus said it was where the Spring came up within the Temple Complex. There is only ONE Spring within 5 miles of Jerusalem, and that is the GIHON SPRINGS in modern day City of David. In Bible times that was part of the location of Jerusalem. The most important Rabbis of the time, were gathered sometime in the 400's to discuss the rebuilding of Jerusalem and where the TEMPLE MOUNT was actually located. They did not use the Bible for a guide and thus a heated argument started, so they settled it with a vote. Because, they mistook the Western Wall in the southwest corner of the Old City, as part of the Temple Wall (in reality it is part of the Fort Antonia wall), the majority voted that it was the hilltop known as Mount Moriah, where now sits the Dome of the Rock. So they have been battling of that hilltop ever since, and it is the wrong Mount.

Parts of King David's Palace have already been found by Archeologists. Here is a summery of the history, the way I now understand it, according to various videos by the Archeologists. Mount Moriah is the location where the Dome of the Rock is located. THE OPHEL depicted just North of David's Palace in the above drawing, was the Southeast Corner of Jerusalem in the time of Christ. That Ophel is where they are convinced is the Southern half of the Temple Complex, which means the Ophel was primarily where the Court of the Gentiles was located in the Temple Complex.

The Romans tore down every stone that was part of the TEMPLE COMPLEX in 70 AD. THEN, in 132 the Simon started a REVOLT, because the Romans built a Temple to Jupiter on that real Temple Mount, and he successfully kicked the Romans Out of the Country, but the Romans retook the Country between 134-136 AD. Because Simon considered the entire Temple Mount defiled by that pagan Temple, Simon bar Kokhba, who became Prince over the Jewish State after kicking the Romans out, he ordered in 132 AD the Temple Mount (including the Ophel) turned into a rock quarry to remove the defiled bed rock. It may have been lowered several feet or even meters.

THUS, NO TRACE of the original Temple Mount remained, with the Possible exception of a small piece of the original Threshing Floor purchased by David to build the Temple on. That piece of the floor MAY BE part of the location of where the animals were actually sacrificed within the Temple Complex, and would have been in the lowest part of the Temple Complex, so that excess blood ran out of the Temple Complex, towards the brook, most likely to the west, in the Center Valley, which is now one of the Main Streets through the City of David. That threshing floor remnant (yet to be varified) even has a narrow channel carved into it, for the excess blood to flow out of the Temple Complex, and rings carved in the rocks to tie up and hold the animal secure during the sacrifice.

A shaft was dug down to the original Gihon Springs, and the original exit hole plugged to make a new exit hole of the Spring come out in the Temple Complex. That Valuted Chamber in the chart below would have leveled out at the SAME level as the underground cavern several miles North uphill, which is the SOURCE of the Gihon Springs. If the Cavern Level was High after Spring Rains, it would continue gushing out, until the Cavern levels lowered. Thus a rope and bucket would have been used when the source Cavern level was Low. Which explains why such a large cistern is directly below the mouth of the man made Gihon Spring shaft.

The Temple Mount in Jerusalem - Ophel Ruins

The Gihon Springs also fed a fresh water stream and was the primary source of Spring water for the City of David and Jerusalem:

Why do I even try, but try I must!

falling for the Dispensationalist/Darbyism delusion I have already been there and have no intention of returning to it.

Dispensationalist was around (1st century) long before Darby popularized it. I know you don't believe that but in my opinion you have bigger problems than worrying about Dispensationalism.

Where in the Bible does it say the restrainer is the Holy Spirit? It doesnt actually spell out who the restrainer is. Here again, you got problems I cannot help you with. p.s. the Bible does spell out who it is,,you are not listening.

It didnt happen after the Holocaust so why would it happen in the near future? Don't know what you are talking about here. Fully 1/3 of the Jewish population died under Hitler and WWII. Now, you can say it would not happen but when Daniel's 70th week comes about, several BILLION people are going to die....The Bible tells us that 2/3 of the Jewish people will DIE during this time and Since it is GOD's Inerrant WORD..I believe it.

Ths Is true, God will not inhabit it, he has not inhabited a temple since long before Babylon,

As for why, because many want to, they do not feel they will be whole until the temple is rebuilt, many also think prophesy says it will be rebuilt, so that is why they look forward to it, the Bible does talk about a third temple.

Your entitled to your opinion. But it is just that, your opinion. If as you claim Dispensationalism as believed by Darby was around for so long how come such a vital teaching was not mentioned by none of the leading Church fathers or anyone else for nineteen hundred years. Were they all so incompetent and spiritually blind that none of them noticed it in their Bibles? Are you suggesting that the Holy Spirit ignored people like Luther, Calvin, Wesley and Spurgeon but popularised it by using a cultist like Derby and a convicted defrauder like Scofield? As I write there are millions of Christians who do not believe
in it. You should get around more.

As for me not listening, perhaps you should check out who you are listening to.

Its not the Bibles inerrency that is the issue. Its your interpretation of it that I take issue with

Do you believe that God will accept their worship because they are blinded?
No, but you were asking why would they even attempt it since God would not accept it. Isaiah 28:14-18, a prophecy that would tell them what God SAID! if they would read it but they are BLINDED still YET!

God will do nothing as long as HIS church is still on earth and unfulfilled. WHen the Fullness of the Church reaches that NUMBER at which only the Father knows of, he will tell Jesus to come a get us. After that, God will again to turn His attention back to Israel.

Daniel's 70th week is not to punish the sinnners in the world so much as it is to force HIS people to call upon HIS name for Help. This WILL---WILL happen when the Antichrist stands in the Holy of Holies and declares He is GOD.

The question you ask what I would do if the Rapture does not come before I die.....I win either way......I like my chance better than I see yours. When the Rapture Happens, you know where you are most likely going to be. LEFT BEHIND. Good LUCK

I know one thing about you and everybody on this forum. God has an appointed time for you to die and you will not be late.

If you trash your Preterist eschatology, accept Jesus and His Gospel (1 cor 15:1-4), you will gain a fifty/fifty chance at not having to die even that one time (i.e the Rapture). Either way,,,Rapture or 'Dying in Jesus Christ' will get one to Heaven. A good place to be during the worst time on earth as told to us by JESUS in Mat 24.

Now if you and the other preterist and idealist continue to spoof God's WORD(s) or in reality, call him a liar, I am pretty sure you are in for a real rough ride.

Ask yourself, what would you do if your positions were swapped? (i.e.Maybe--he don't care about me so why should I care about him???/or something like that). Don't lie to yourself,,,no body will know.....

Having said that, I think that everybody kinda misses the point in our life. Our Spirit, Soul, 'our essence' is eternal.... Our life on this earth will determine where that soul lives for an eternity. There are only two choices Heaven and the Burning Fire.

Do you know for sure where you are going to be.....It is the most important decision of your Life now on earth and for an eternity.

If as you claim Dispensationalism as believed by Darby was around for so long how come such a vital teaching was not mentioned by none of the leading Church fathers or anyone else for nineteen hundred years.

Rem around 300 AD, the Church was beginning to be taken over by the state and finally the ROman Catholics. Only up until 1600s did Darby, Luther and such made it popular.

What is in the name Dispensationalism that you disagree with... or was it simply Darby's interpretation. In my Opinion as you so eloquently stated, Dispensationalism means that Bible is divided up in periods of time where Man and God reacted differently with each other when compared to another period. lets say you have the 'Creation Period'..... the conversations between Man and God are different that those of lets say in Genesis 12, the 'Abrahamic Period'. To me that is all it is. One can make several periods of time out or can bring them down to two. The OT and the NT time periods. Do you have something against them.

If you read the Bible from a literal hermeneutics with all the grammatical structures of the two sections and all of the outside historical information telling us of the culture of the time plus giving us valuable insight to what the people of the Bible saw and felt.

There is a passage in the Bible; Daniel 12:4..." But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased."
Here "to the time of the end" would have a meaning of Today

"many shall run to and fro"...Does that ring any bells... air flight, trains, planes and whatever...... Todays times.

"Knowledge shall be increased"......What Knowledge....the Knowledge of the Bible

In Darby's day, they could not be in the "END TIMES": Why????????The Jewish People had not been returned to their LAND.. That started in 1917 and happened in 1947-48.

Thus the knowledge of something so simple as this verse would mean nothing during those times. There are a lot of passages that we know more about because of the availability of historical info, Computers, etc.

Darby, Schoffield and others was doing what they were told to do by Jesus...To get the word of His gospel out there.

Unfortunately, especially in the smaller cities, town, villages, the church made its presence felt until recent times. WHY? mainly because it was forbidden for a person to read the Bible but rather take the word of the priest or preacher, etc.

Now days, everybody tries to read it and then you get all these interpretations out there. Jesus tells us as he told the jewish people in Mat. 24:4 " And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you."

I urge you to follow you own mind.. Read the Bible and Interpret it from a literal viewpoint. That is also my opinion but it is of sound advice.

Good Luck

Where in the Bible does it say the restrainer is the Holy Spirit? It doesnt actually spell out who the restrainer is. One strong possibility is that it is the Archangel Michael' whose name means Who is like God. In Revelation He is the one who wages war in heaven and throws Satan down to the earth. He also comes to Daniel having fought with the Prince of Persia. He is known as the Prince and protector of Israel. The only reason the Holy Spirit is claimed to be the restrainer is because it fits in with the rest of the Pre Trib baggage.

A key part of your Pre Trib Scenario is that two thirds of those killed are all Jews. At present there are more Jews living in the US alone than there are in the whole of Israel. There would need to be a huge seismic shift to induce the whole of worlds Jewry to move to Israel especially when one thinks of the dangerous situation in Israel at present. It didnt happen after the Holocaust so why would it happen in the near future? Apart from that it will be difficult for many to flee to the Mountains. Those in London would have to travel several hundred miles to reach one. The warning Jesus gave was to those living at the time. He predicted what would happen within their generation and it did.

In Revelation those that rebel in the millennium are said to attack ''the camp of the saints'' Its a strange expression seeing that John uses Jerusalem throughout the rest of the book. even stranger is that the New Jerusalem is said to come down from heaven directly after their destruction. One wonders whether this New Jerusalem is empty or if not who is living in it?

Will you believe it when you see it in the Scriptures?

Acts 1:6-7 (HCSB)
[SUP]6 [/SUP] So when they had come together, they asked Him, “Lord, are You restoring the kingdom to Israel at this time?”
[SUP]7 [/SUP] He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or periods that the Father has set by His own authority.

THAT IS PART OF THE PROOF that Dispensationalism is OF THE FATHER. THAT IS PART OF THE PROOF that that 70th week of Daniel and the 1000 year Earthly Reign of Christ comes after the Church-age.

NO WE DON'T BELIEVE THAT. WE BELIEVE THAT THE Parable of 10 Virgins is an exact Picture of what Christ Calling Out His Bride will be LIKE. BOTH GROUPS are Christians, 50% are READY and Watching for their Bridegroom Jesus Christ to send His Archangel ahead to SHOUT and Call Out the Bride, THUS we will be invited to the Wedding as Part of the Bride. The OTHER 50% will be left behind, to become part of the martyred Tribulation Saints. That is the Penalty for NOT being Ready and Watching for the Bridegroom prior to the pouring out of GOD's Wrath here on earth.

BTW, this discussion belongs on the Rapture Thread.

Do you believe that God will accept their worship because they are blinded?
Isaiah 57:16-19 (GWT)
[SUP]16 [/SUP] I will not accuse you forever. I will not be angry with you forever. Otherwise, the spirits, the lives of those I've made, would grow faint in my presence.
[SUP]17 [/SUP] I was angry because of their sinful greed, so I punished them, hid {from them}, and remained angry. But they continued to be sinful.
[SUP]18 [/SUP] I've seen their {sinful} ways, but I'll heal them. I'll guide them and give them rest. I'll comfort them and their mourners.
[SUP]19 [/SUP] I'll create praise on their lips: “Perfect peace to those both far and near.” “I'll heal them,” says the LORD.

That SAYS you are TOTALLY WRONG.

Revelation 11:13 (ESV)

[SUP]13 [/SUP] And at that hour there was a great earthquake, and a tenth of the city fell. Seven thousand people were killed in the earthquake, and the rest were terrified and gave glory to the God of heaven.

Romans 11:25-32 (HCSB)
[SUP]25 [/SUP] So that you will not be conceited, brothers, I do not want you to be unaware of this mystery: A partial hardening has come to Israel until the full number of the Gentiles has come in.
[SUP]26 [/SUP] And in this way all Israel will be saved, as it is written: The Liberator will come from Zion; He will turn away godlessness from Jacob.
[SUP]27 [/SUP] And this will be My covenant with them when I take away their sins.
[SUP]28 [/SUP] Regarding the gospel, they are enemies for your advantage, but regarding election, they are loved because of the patriarchs,
[SUP]29 [/SUP] since God’s gracious gifts and calling are irrevocable.
[SUP]30 [/SUP] As you once disobeyed God, but now have received mercy through their disobedience,
[SUP]31 [/SUP] so they too have now disobeyed, ⌊resulting⌋ in mercy to you, so that they also now may receive mercy.
[SUP]32 [/SUP] For God has imprisoned all in disobedience, so that He may have mercy on all.

Those TOO, SAY you are TOTALLY WRONG.

THANK GOD YOU ARE NOT THE SHOT-CALLER.

Will you believe it when you see it in the Scriptures?

Acts 1:6-7 (HCSB)
[SUP]6 [/SUP] So when they had come together, they asked Him, “Lord, are You restoring the kingdom to Israel at this time?”
[SUP]7 [/SUP] He said to them,“It is not for you to know times or periods that the Father has set by His own authority.

THAT IS PART OF THE PROOF that Dispensationalism is OF THE FATHER. THAT IS PART OF THE PROOF that that 70th week of Daniel and the 1000 year Earthly Reign of Christ comes after the Church-age.
What you are talking about is not the dispensationalism Darby invented, and what the Pre Trib rapture and the separate salvation plans for Jews and the Church is included in. His was an artificial system imposed on the Bible. He considered there to be seven ages but since then the number has varied depending on who you ask five is a favorite alternative. Different ages have been believed in before Darby and are in the Bible but not as a rigid system.

Speaking of Acts have you read the following......

And he shall send Jesus Christ who before was preached to you
Whom the heaven must receive until the time of restitution
of all things which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his
holy Prophets since the world began.

Acts 3:21

Christ is to remain in heaven until the restitution of all things spoken of by the Prophets
How does that account for a two part second coming when after the rapture there would be
another seven years before he returned. Was Peter and the Prophets lying or did they forget
that he was going to make a secret trip before hand?

There is only one second coming. This has been taught by the church
for centuries and still is. When he returns the resurrection will occur and
those alive will meet him in the air and escort him to earth. In Jude it says
that he will come with thousands of his saints. These are the righteous dead
who receive immortal bodies at his coming and are now with him in heaven

Tanakh: just wanted you to see that your (Hatred for Darby) may have been clouding your minds eyes. The Rapture is really not a part of how one is saved. It is a result.

I urge you to do this: Find yourself a quite place, sit down and talk to Jesus. You by now know the routine. Rem It is by Faith and Faith ALONE that one is saved. Faith and Faith Alone..... If you are true of heart, He will know and will send you the Holy SPirit who will teach, guide and protect you until "whatever happens" in the end days or you die of a ripe old age.

I urge you to not listen to the preterist and Idealist who call God a liar and twist his words to their pleasure and lifestyles.

Oh, and quite being so salty all the time. lol

The temple was NOT,,,I repeat NOT built at the top of the Temple Mount.
The vid I posted has several huge obstacles to the temple site being the city of David.

One is the elevation. The temple would need to be about 50 ft higher than the spring.
Another is size. The city of David is too small to accommodate the size of the structure.
