Gen 3:16 . .To the woman He said: Your desire will be for your husband.

Apparently the Hebrew of that passage is difficult; not even the great rabbis
Rashi and Ramban were in agreement how best to interpret it. But the
passage appears to me simply the very first law prohibiting adultery.

This law was enacted before there were any Jews, and before there were
any Christians. Everybody on Earth at the time of its enactment were
Gentiles-- and would continue to be Gentiles until such a time as Jacob came
along to engender Israel's twelve tribes.

So then, I take it that Gen 3:16 is a universal law regardless of one's race,
color, gender, religion, and/or ethnic identity; and to my knowledge, this
particular law prohibiting adultery has never been repealed.

What does Eve's morals have to do with the subject of the OP?

Seeee..now if you were a WOMAN youd be putting CHOCOLATE on that popcorn! :)

my husband believes I am a woman. you need to check the bios of people to see what persuaion they are and if they are married or not. in the older format, women had pink and men blue to identify them

but sorry...I prefer my popcorn with butter and not too much salt

but chocolate apart from the popped kernels is good

At this rate the ladies of CC aren't gonna listen to ANYTHING any of us guys have to say, even if we can back up our statements/assertions with Scripture.

Pass the popcorn please!
Yeah, apparently another women bashing thread. There's been a slew of them lately. I agree with your estimation.

i wonder why the OP feels the "need" to start all these threads.

i've never really interacted with the OP outside these threads, so idk what's going on in his life.

That is an argument from silence, because Paul doesn't actually quote any passage. Further, your position cannot account for the rest of the Genesis passage not being commands.

Your appeal to authority and fear are irrelevant. When will you learn to simply discuss instead of throwing around imprecations and condemnation? You ain't Jesus.
No, but he thinks that he can walk on water. :)

I've got no problem with threads which deal with women's sin and rebellion (think women such as Jezebel), as long as they're not incessant and they are Scripturally sound.

That would be a most interesting thread. Getting tired of the anti-women threads.

To my knowledge he has yet to say anything at all about his private life. A lot of other members are like that, they just post a bunch of bible verses but you really don't know who they are or what they are about because they refuse to divulge the slightest detail about their life. Hard to fellowship with just a bunch of verses cut n pasted from a bible. I prefer conversing with real people.

There's been a quite a bit of flap in the media of late about a gender issue
called misogyny-- defined by Webster's as hatred of women --while very
little flap about misandry; defined by Webster's as hatred of men.

Apparently some people think it's wrong to say denigrating things about
women while conveniently ignoring that it's a double standard to think
it's okay to say denigrating things about men.

Well, I have to ask, since when did women become a protected species?
Women are not a protected species. There are just as many, if not more,
women idling away the time in hell as men because God holds both genders
equally accountable for their ways.

Rom 2:9-11. .There will be trouble and distress for every human being
who does evil: for God does not show favoritism.

You man-hating women out there in cyberspace need to keep something in
mind. According to John 5:21-23 and Acts 17:31, Jesus has been assigned
the task of presiding over the great white throne event depicted at Rev
20:11-15, where you are going to be judged solely on the basis of your life
rather than the basis of your looks. Jesus will be neither influenced nor
impressed by the silkiness of your thighs nor the size of your bosoms; no, in
point of fact; he will be quite determined to disfigure them.

Rev 20:15 . . And whosoever's name was not found written in the book of
life was cast into the lake of fire.

In the end, it will be the sweet, gentle, turn-the-other-cheek Jesus who
subjects misandrist women to a death sentence akin to a foundry worker falling
into a kettle of molten iron, and permanently ruins any chances they might have
had for happiness in the future. For all eternity, condemned man-hating females
will grind their teeth with hot tears and white-knuckled fury that they ultimately
lost out on everything because of one lone male's obsessive control over their lives.
