This is somewhat profound actually. We're not getting older, we're getting better, in a silly sorta way I suppose. :)
Good point people are funny, innocent as
children.
Then get far too serious and miserable as adults.
Then rediscover fun again later in life.
Then of course some revert to a child like state.
I think Im going through the last one!

Our actions as an adult might at times be interpreted as child-like but that is because we are older and more experienced and have learned to put our busy life on hold for a brief moment to smell the flowers and observe the bumble bees.

I actually want to go this colour at some point, but my
hairdresser said I would first have to grow out all the
purple as it would be hard to strip the colour out.
Something about it going ginger if she tried!

Do ginger bees exist. Lol

Ps this isn’t me, just a model, but I do like the colour.

I really like that color! I say, Go For It :):):)

I adjusted the color of the pix my daughter took, to see if I can make it look more like how I see it

Yes, that seems more like it :D

PS~ it always surprises me how colorless the rest of my hair is

Meh.

At this stage of my emotional development, I kind of think funny hair colors look a bit silly. I may change though, and I expect you make it look good anyway.
Dearest Earnest, let me assure you, that purple is NOT a funny color! In fact, purple is part of the great mystery God has created in the wondrous world of this physical universe we inhabit :):):) The following video may help explain to you what I mean :whistle::unsure::):D:)

I might go on the beach too.
When we were leaving the beach, there was a small group of young people attempting to sing the Beatles song, "Norwegian Wood," but they had forgotten (or did not know) most of the lyrics, so I tarried and sang along with them, providing the words to a song I used to play often on my guitar :) They were delighted, and so was I :D:giggle:

I really hope my candidate Travis Allen wins the GOP nomination for california governor tonight. He is the only one who truly wants to make things better. His opponent, John Cox actually ran as a democrat in chicago! (and failed!) So far only the mail-in votes have been counted in my county but it looks like Cox has a big lead :(

It must be frustrating being a Republican living in a liberal blue state. California is a very interesting state but is in serious economic and moral decline. I thank God that I live in Florida and not in a state that taxes the hell out of you to support liberal policies that an ordinary hard working person derives no benefit from but yet has to pay for. I lived in Maine for 8 long years and that is another very liberal state. A large portion of the population doesn't even work but expects the few tax payers that remain to pick up the tab. Very poor work ethic there. Place is morally bankrupted.

I didn't know I was a republican until Obama became president.. :( I was actually on the dems side when Clinton was president. I was sort of neutral during Bush Jr.'s run.

I have signed up for a 6 week support group to quit smoking. One hour sessions starting in July 23. Free patches and gum will provided.

Now, I tried all of that stuff before but that was years ago and I was just trying to make an impression that I could quit smoking any time I chose. Of course, I was in denial. I'm not a complete fool and know full well that smoking ruins your health and will shorten your life. I guess that I decided that I want to live a little longer and pray that God, in His mercy and compassion will mitigate the damage that has been caused from years of abuse by smoking.

Cigarettes are expensive too and the money that is wasted could go towards more wholesome things such as better food. I have prayed before for God to deliver me from the evils of this filthy habit but He did not answer my prayer because He knew that I was lying and really didn't want to quit or have the desire to do so. This is probably true today as well but this has been weighing heavily on me lately.

My smoking is driving a wedge in my marriage. If I don't love myself enough to quit smoking perhaps I love my wife enough to do so. This remains to be seen.

"Hello, my name is Jerry and I am a drug addict. Nicotine is my drug of choice. It all started so innocently in my early teens when I used to steal an occasional cigarette from my parents. I found it to be enjoyable and that was the problem. In fact, that still is the problem. I used to drink too but I chose not to do that anymore and gave it up for good many years ago because I did not want to end up like my older brother who is an alcoholic and still is today. I must choose not to smoke anymore too so I don't end up like my dad who died from lung cancer. Or I can chose to keep smoking and die".

Life is full of choices to be made. Whether I live or die these pages must tell.

I'll include you in my prayers Sir Jerry I believe one day you will be able to break free from that habit. I know it is not that easy but Jesus will help you ❤ Here is a verse that I remember sir Jerry. :)
Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through him who strengthens me.”

God bless you ❤

You can do it!

Just take it one day at a time, down think beyond that.

Try finding something else to do with your hands, drawing, art, posting on
here etc.

Make it a goal to reward yourself with a little something every week.

Give yourself something to aim for, put 50 cents in a jar every day you don’t smoke.

I think that I will put a dollar in a jar for each day I don't smoke and after a year donate to a charity such as a food bank or homeless shelter. That was a good idea that you came up with. I appreciate your support and for being kind to me. You are a good friend indeed.

Why only a dollar? I'm sure you're burning through a pack a day and at $5 or more a pack split it up half for your favorite charity and half for something nice you and the wife have been wanting.
