I used to go into the chat rooms here, but now all they do is talk about scripture 24 hours a day. :( I wish they would make the Lounge the entry point instead of the Bible Study room like it used to be in the old days.... Now they have this room called MarsHill. What is that???
I believe that it's a candy bar of some sort.

There are many suggested ways to avoid loneliness such as reading, writing about something or someone you like or love,
listening to the music or songs, etc. But the one that I find the most effective is, the word of God. The word of God is God
according to (John 1:1), and the word of God is God speaking. So, whenever I feel lonely, I just turn to the word of God.
There were MANY times Jesus felt alone even among his friends .lonliness is a real feeling

I totally agree with you, sister.

A single tree cannot make a forest. It takes the combination of different trees to make a forest. Similarly, we cannot stand alone; we need people, especially someone who is there to listen to us, talk to us, ask us, and answer us, etc. As long as we are still in this flesh, one way or the other, we are going to need that. However, when there is no one there to listen or talk to us, being aware of the fact that Jesus is there also helps us feel that we are not alone.

A lot of people are unwilling to trust..let thier guard down TO open up to others..

That is a room started moderated by Messenger T and it suppose to be another room to study and fellowship, I believe

Well this is a very good discussion question.

I find it seasonal. I think like any happy marriage, there are times when we just dont enjoy our lives as much other times, when we do very much. Both, single abd married, take effort and prayer to remain content, imho. I think the key is making Him, our Lord and Savior, the desire of our hearts, then no matter the circumstances or the state of being, everything else is just bonus.

So while I have seasons of ache, restlessness or just feeling like I am longing for something or someone, leaving me feeling all a lonely, lol, I know the problem isn't in the situation only, but in my need to find sufficiency in Him, alone.

Being lonely is the loneliness feeling in the world.

i don't know when I feel lonely sometimes it just late at night realizing I am moving no where in life. Since, I almost 29 I feel like my life isn't on the track in where I wish I was. I wish I was on my own not living with parents, married and have kids by now. as well as an amazing full time 9-5 job or something like that.., I don't really have much of a social life unless you count school and work. My spiritual social life is non-existent (s/p) I don't attend church on a daily basis for a variety of reasons it is describe in one of my previous post (100 Post in Young Adults Forum Area)

It seems like it is our generation well if you are part of the millennial generation. It is sad, because a lot of the other generations tend to say we are lazy, not motivated, leaches, and so on and so forth. I've seen people from the millennial generation (my) get marry, own their own home, the person I like is currently going for her masters. It seems like a lot of the millennial generation is driven, but there is no real opportunities for us to move unless you have a bachelor's or higher degree. I trying to attain my bachelor's in business administration, and proceed to getting a certification in human resources is the SHRM-CP/SCP. I love to deal with the people I work with, but I wish there was more training in the workplace. Where actually people who are RVPs, or etc come in and step up to see how it is done the first hand. It seems like a lot of stores/retailers seem to fail understanding each individual location has a way of doing things. Sometimes it seems like though people want to implement their own way of doing something in a massive scale. Sorry, I ended up ranting...Another factor, is I don't see a lot of actually team work in work places. As I said in of the previous post no on this thread.

Teamwork takes communication and the more technology came in..the less people learned how to communicate face to face. ...resolve conflict and problems..but we DO a great job at texting..lol.all technology gives us is secondary communication..sad to say as here we are in cyberland..lol..and i totally understand about education..its so driven and competative here im chicago for women to have power careers to keep up with the men..

Dear God, I want to hear your voice, and be startled by the fact that you speak to me
to the point where I'm startled beyond loneliness

I’m new here, but wanted to chime in...I feel loneliest at bed time. I miss the pillow talk that I shared with my ex husband. Being lonely will also just slap me in the face all of a sudden. It’s a reality I didn’t think I’d experience.

New Year's eve and my birthday are the two heaviest.

How do I cope? I don't!

The worst time of the day for me is in the evenings or during special occasions.
I either get on CC or text friends.
I know Jesus is always here and I certainly talk to Him...but He's rather quiet in responding. It's nice to have someone to carry on a two way conversation with.
i kinda agree
