I apologize bro

MAybe it was a bit careless of me and I dont take internet forums seriously enough. The thing with internet is: You got trolls
and false accusers will answer to God. and false accusers abuse and mock grace, if they have any to begin with.

I did no false accusation, I made one mistake and admitted it. I am clear with God.

Everything else I have said has been shown to be true. I have provided post numbers for ALL OF IT.

@UnderGrace by our behaviour.[/QUOTE]
Him in our hearts should reflect in our behavior, though, right? . I mean it is one sure way to discern and examine our walk with Him. Our thoughts, actions, words, even feelings should line up with the will of Him. But of course, that is where He and His Grace comes in.

No one loses salvation....one is either saved or lost......there is no saved and then lost.........I do not buy what most believe about the parable of the sower and 3 of the 4 being lost......

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

lambanó: to take, receive
Original Word: λαμβάνω
Part of Speech: Verb
Transliteration: lambanó
Phonetic Spelling: (lam-ban'-o)
Definition: to take, receive
Usage: (a) I receive, get, (b) I take, lay hold of.

"The one on whom seed was sown on the rocky places, this is the man who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy

lambanó: to take, receive
Original Word: λαμβάνω
Part of Speech: Verb
Transliteration: lambanó
Phonetic Spelling: (lam-ban'-o)
Definition: to take, receive
Usage: (a) I receive, get, (b) I take, lay hold of

How can you believe for a while, stop believing, FALL AWAY and be saved? (If we're talking about luke 8:13)

Oy vey!

This one begs for an explanation! 3 of 4 soils saved?

I have proven either Eternally Grateful's dishonesty or his lack of parsing verbs.

You said it "takes years to bear fruit". indicative statement of fact

He said "I agree with DCON. It MAY take years to bear fruit." subjunctive statement of possibility

Plus he changed the goalpost from being used by God as in a new believer bearing fruit, (which is what the statement meant, meaning demanded BY CONTEXT of the discussion) to non believer being used of God

That is called pulling a quote out of context. A text taken out of context is a pretext.

In addition, he admitted that it doesn't necessarily take years to bear fruit, when he said that God can use a new believer's changed life to draw someone to Him, thereby refuting your statement, because if God uses someone's changed life to draw someone, that IS BEARING FRUIT>

In addition, NOWHERE In the Bible does it say "it takes years of growth and maturity to bear fruit. Strike four.
Nothing you say has value.....you cannot be honest about the facts and are embellishing what we say to prove a moot point....what I said is valid....I could care less if you don't like it or believe it....

Peter was saved, immersed and walked with JESUS 3 years, walked on water , raised the dead, healed the sick and JESUS rebuked him and said WHEN YOU ARE CONVERTED Strengthen the brethern.....

So....get honest or simply do not address me........last chance pal

I though you said you know Greek

You must be kidding, because they teach the difference between the indicative mood and the subjunctive mood in the first 2-3 weeks of the first semester. Pretty much right after the alphabet, which takes one class to learn and one week to study, and then a test, then they usually jump right into verbs, and in the beginning they explain tense, voice, mood, person, and number the very next class or sometime very soon after.

SO you should know that EG changed your words.

IT takes years to bear fruit- indicative mood

It may take years to bear fruit- subjunctive mood

THESE TWO PHRASES have completely different meanings. Therefore, EG changed your words so that he could agree with you.

anyone with a fourth grade education, or maybe even less knows the difference between "it takes" and "it may take"

Therefore, you and he are the ones who are being honest, for you sound otherwise like educated people

Do you believe this-->JESUS begins, finishes and COMPLETES the work of faith in us.

Either you do or you do not..........SO........only on thing can be deduced if you do not believe JESUS finishes and completes the work of FAITH he begins in every believer

a. JESUS fails and does not finish or complete his work of faith he begins which makes him a weak inept liar that cannot finish what he starts

hub and I can share from personal experience, 'immediately after the indwelling of The Holy Spirit',
you will begin your new journey of bearing Godly fruit, no matter how small it may seem to you or others,
The Spirit that is within us will show us how and when we must serve and begin our new life of walking in Jesus footsteps...

DC, you know greek and you don't know the difference between indicative and subjunctive mood?!!!

I could be wrong. Did you say you know greek. Or even grammar in general

If not, I apologize

Your statement was in the indicative

EG agreed with you, supposedly, but changed your statement to a subjunctive

From "it takes many years" to "it might take many years"

So either you are being disingenuious, or you know NOTHING about greek or grammar.

Oh, and an indicative statement from the bible that teaches it takes many years to bear fruit, OR DON'T ADDRESS ME.

People who don't know the difference between indicative mood and subjunctive mood...make bad exegetes

"it takes years...to bear fruit"

"it may take years...to bear fruit.

NOT EVEN CLOSE TO SAYING THE SAME THING. Anyone who knows anything about language knows this.

SO yes, EG changed your words, shifted the goalposts, and agreed with you by disagreeing with you. LOL

Imagine if we turned the indicative statements of the bible and turned them into subjunctives. Or vice versa

Maybe that's why you make such critical errors.

Where does the Bible state that it takes years of growth and maturity to bear fruit.

If you want to stop calling me a liar, I will stop replying

If you keep calling me a liar, I will bury you in your own lies, because I still have much more things to expose you in. Right now, I'm using kids gloves.

SO if you guys don't call me another name or attack me, I will go away and not come back. Otherwise I am going to stay.

I'd rather leave. But I don't like backbiters who talk about people when they think their gone.

SO it's up to you. Like the song says "should I stay or should I go"

No more personal attacks and I will leave.

NO.

are the following statements saying the same thing?

a. it takes years to bear fruit DCONTROVERSIAL

b. It may take years to bear fruit. ETERNALLY GRATEFUL, supposedly agreeing with DCON

Let me know if there is any difference in the meaning of these two phrases.

Thanks in advance

Of course there's a difference. But, the scriptures uses pictures to make points, like trees. I'm not an expert by any means but I would ask if certain fruits take longer to be produced.

Do you know about crabapple trees? They are sour, but I liked them. Takes a lot of salt though to eat them. ;)

sure. but in luke 8:13 they stopped believing, iow: faith wasnt finished. it says that in all translations, believed for a while, but not till the end.

perhaps no repentance was the issue. = dead faith = no salvation to begin with

This is Thayers for the word no:

G3361
μή

Thayer Definition:
1) no, not lest
Part of Speech: particle
A Related Word by Thayer’s/Strong’s Number: a primary particle of qualified negation (whereas G3756 expresses an absolute denial)

Can anyone break this down to simpler words? Lol

So what.......you have still proved nothing except in your mind.......and I will say it again.....

1. A person can be saved for years without bearing fruit....<--the bible and nature teaches this truth
2. At what point does one stop being a son by birth...NEVER
3. Works are the result of the gift of faith and salvation....<----a period of growth and maturity is required before one bears anything

Get your facts straight...you are looking like a fool......
