Well, I fall short in many many things, but I'll be damned if I'm going to freely give the devil the soul of a struggling human being that ultimately trudges daily through the same filth and battles as I do in this fallen planet.
And j truly believe that in the end, when all is manifest, there's no rational defence against the truth. If it be so God will that he remains blind, I can't change that, but in the love of God I will not negotiate the will of God for the possible deceit of the devil... sorry. It's not where my heart is right now.

If I give someone a shirt.....and say it is eternal....
Then see them again 7 years later and I decide to rip the shirt off of them and burn it....
Was it a gift?
Was it eternal?
Did I not steal from them?
Was I not a lying?

I think if a persons eventual motivation for committing to Jesus is staying out of hell. They will be like the unicorns and miss the boat.

Love is the first commandment of the new covenant. If we can just do these two things the rest will come naturally.
