Rapists Cannot Be Saved

Problem is a lot of people are brainless clods.

If they weren't they wouldn't be providing a safe haven for abusers and pedophiles. They'd see them for what they are, not as broken sheep but as wolves. They'd realize that there are people in this world who do not have a conscience and do not want forgiveness. They'd realize some people take joy out of causing others misery. They'd realize they need to turn such people in, even if they're people they know and love. Nor would they coddle them.

Sometimes it takes shocking people and forcing them to look at sin at its ugliest to get people to take it seriously. The Bible certainly does.

How are you expecting to gain the respect of your audience, and the motivation to get up and produce change, if you start out your message by insulting people?

I don't mean that as a criticism. I am genuinely interested in why you repeat the same things over and over.

As I've said, I've read many of your posts (though not all, but many,) and they all have the same message and tone.

You speak to people as if they are all idiots, but yet you present your message as something of the utmost importance that should be given top priority to above anything else.

I'm not sure how you expect people to listen to you when you insist on constantly talking down to them?

I guess we can accuse the prophets of the Old Testament as well, and Jesus, you know, when he charged the extortionists out of the temple with a whip of cords. Nowadays we call that assault and battery.

I find you to be an interesting person, History Princess, which is why I always try to catch your threads and posts when I can.

Many of the questions and issues you raise are things I relate to and have asked as well throughout my lifetime. Like you, I found that story about the Levite's concubine when I was young and thought to myself, "How can anyone believe in a God who would let that happen?"

I understand that maybe you believe you are called to bring people to action through extreme measures like insults and shock, and if that's what God has called you to do, I certainly don't want to oppose your calling.

I'd just like to suggest though, that since you feel so passionately about this subject, maybe you'd want to consider becoming involved with groups that are out there actively helping people recover? The internet is full of support sites--since you say the internet is the only thing you have, you might want to use it towards helping victims.

You say you have no power or influence but have a great deal of empathy--you don't know the power or influence you might have (through God's grace) when you reach out to, or support an organization that is helping victims get away from their abusers and to heal. Many people right here on CC share testimonies of abuse as you've described--maybe you could take a minute away from posting and pray for someone right here in your thread who is suffering because of the injustices you speak of? Or send someone an encouraging PM, or post a positive message on their profile wall if you can't PM--little things like this seem like they don't matter, but they can mean the world to someone.

It honestly makes me feel sad to see you swallowed up in so much bitterness and hated. I pray that God will give you peace, and a righteous way to vent your anger.

I understand that it often seems like a hopeless situation, but we fight back by giving hope, no matter how small, to other people. I truly hope you find a means of fighting for a social platform that will help you, and not simply cause you more anger.

I have seen victims of all kinds of tragedies, and it always gets to me how much evil human beings are capable of, yet those same, evil people, come across vulnerable and frightened when you have stripped their power away from them.

I guess some people have the ability of doing evil when they are in power of others.

Can they change? I don’t think so.

This may sound like a shock to everyone.

I have never been raped. Never been molested. Nothing. I grew up in Mr. Rogers Neighborhood practically.

Why must I personally need to go through some horrible abuse to be angry about it? That's the burden of empathy.

I am simply a Christian who does not sugarcoat my worldview because it makes me comfy. No, I accept things as they are, not how I want them to be.

I want to challenge you all, look up the story of the Levite's concubine in the book of Judges. You've probably never heard of it, and that's because it's a lovely little story about a woman who's brutally gang-raped to death, her body is cut up into pieces and sent throughout Israel, and this prompts the tribes to go to war with each other resulting in even more rape.

The Bible doesn't censor the diabolical evil things that human beings are capable of, and neither should we.

I honestly sometimes wish we could return to the days of the Old Testament, when God actually did get angry. We may think, "Oh, he was so harsh in the Old Testament." Yeah, he was harsh because he was dealing with terrible, TERRIBLE people!

I also had PTSD, and I learned that most of the worst traumas were those I witnessed, and there were many. God was greater than my hurt, and He was greater than my hate. In fact, I was ready to take my gun and kill some predators right before I was saved. Now I pray for them. You have a hateful world view, not even having experienced such things personally; I had the same, and I had experiences to give me an excuse. God took away the hate, and He took away the excuse. Terrible people then? There have always been terrible people, and always will be. God teaches that we're all terrible people, sick and dead in sin. He also teaches that we have a cure, and a chance to actually live. If you think that you have a right to condemn predators to hell, then you've become your own god. If you think you're any better than them in hating them, you are wrong.

I agree God is greater. I know God is just. I also know that vigilante ism has never been an effective deterrent to any crime against humanity.

God teaches that there are sinners and then there are evildoers. Read the Scriptures I posted above. This is not MY worldview. This is a BIBLICAL worldview.

No one taught me this. I've always empathized with people who are forced to endure trauma after trauma while their oppressors go free.

Evildoers can look and act like everyday people. They are deceivers. That's why the Bible tells us to be wise as serpents (yes, and harmless as doves).

When we studied the Holocaust in school, it sickened me that so many could willingly participate in the brutal murder of 5 million Jews. There are evil people in this world who do not have a conscience and do not WANT to be saved. It's time we get our heads around that and get out of our comfy holes, lest ANOTHER holocaust should happen.

It is in certain cases. There were Christians who participated in a plot to assassinate Hitler for example, before they were caught and snuffed out that is.

What do we do when someone has cancer? We don't try to rehabilitate the cancerous cells. We EXCISE them with chemotherapy.
