It's a goal of mine to visit each state and take part in things that may be unique to that state. So...

Which is your favorite? Where would you like to visit?

What are some of the must see places in your state or in one of your favorite states to visit?

Any particular must see places in Colorado, New Mexico, or Utah? (These are next on my personal list to visit.)

I would love Alaska in the spring or summer and vermont in the fall.

If you like to eat, visit any of the pueblos in New Mexico on a feast day.

Castles and vineyards mainly

I'm in Tennessee. All we got is Graceland, the Hermitage and Shiloh battlefield.

I would see Fatz. It's a restaurant in Johnson City, TN. It has food that tastes like real, honest-to-goodness food. The pot roast I ate there tasted like real pot roast, like it had been simmering in a pot for a few hours. Delicious! And the peaches in the peach cobbler had never been in a can.

I was born in West Jordan Utah. I think the Wasatch Mountains and forest are a MUST see !! Gorgeous anytime of year.

Kentucky : Cumberland county has Cumberland Falls home of the moonbow. One of only two in the world. On nights of a full moon a rainbow forms over the falls lighting the entire area.

Florida : Sanibel Island for the shelling. The seashell museum and J.N. Ding Darling wildlife reserve. Lands End and Caladesi Island for natural untouched beaches.

North Carolina : Blowing Rock, The Outer Banks and Jockeys Ridge. Beautiful golden sand approaching Cape Hatteras Lighthouse

Apparently old Willy has never been to Southwest Tennessee. There's not much exciting here, but it sure is beautiful.

Or as I told one person who was thinking about visiting, it's a nice place to live but I wouldn't want to visit here.

I was traveling in Utah, middle of nowhere and dark, and looked up and had to pull over because the night sky was decorated in countless starts, the Milky Way touching both end of horizon - truly wished I had a house there so I can stargaze every night.

I've seen a moonbow on the beach. Is this just a static moonbow meaning you can reliably see such an event? I looked it up but saying it's the only place to witness such an event is confusing. They happen but are rare. I couldn't figure out what on earth was happening. Like is that like an inverted rainbow? in the dark?!? A very cool moment.

I would like to see the aurora borealis for sure though...A national park tour would also not be amiss

Goodness, I really enjoyed my trip to Texas, but definitely went at the wrong time of the year. It was so HOT!

I would just love to visit the east coast since I have never been there. Lived on the west coast all my life.

Anyone that I've ever known always say such wonderful things about Colorado. Quite a few people from my area have said they'd move there. Unfortunately, this time around will be a short trip. It's very rare that I hear anything about Utah, but I'm looking forward to it. Thank you for sharing so many different places. I can't wait to go.

I love reading all the responses. I find most of the best memories have been in places that aren't always on the typical tourists lists.
