Not By Works

We can even blunder without even realizing it,

For James 4:7 - submit to God, resist the devil, and satan will flee from you

Say for example Satan can assault us with wide variety of discouragement, what would applying James 4:7 look like?

Clearly you cannot answer the question because you know it is sin to ignore the need of someone else. This is why doing good works is a requirement, not something optional. Whoever ignores the cry of his brother will not be heard by God.

True story that is similar and equally tragic.....I had two granddads on my step dads side....One was a self righteous Pharisee and member of the Local Assembly of God church that taught a works based vanilla cafe dogma for salvation....the other a truck driver that was a drunk and loved his "Olympia" beer....both got cancer and died from it....My brother led the drunk to the Lord and he went out easy, with a smile and praising JESUS.......the other argued his works based dogma with my brother and when he died was whipping around on his bed screaming that he was catching fire and for someone to please help him........true story..........tragic
