You keep using the absolute wrong word in describing the new bibles. They are not interpretations but translations!! There is a very major difference between those two words. An interpretation is where something is put into different words to try to explain the meaning. A translation is takes the original text and accurately creates the exact meaning in a different language. Modern translations are made by committees making sure the translation is accurate. The idea is where a single person can make a mistake a committee will have a built in method of making sure a mistake by one person will be caught by others on the committee. Thus making the TRANSLATION be correct.
You use the description/word you wish and I will use the one I wish ok?
Your devalued tutelage is not indicated.

I use the defination from the dictionary. That is where words are defined. You should probably use it to communicate correctly. Otherwise you will have problems communicating with others.

That would only be possible if this thread had some substance to which to keep.

As you have utterly failed to articulate your thesis, this is nothing more than a waste of time.

When you use words you need to understand their definitions. Using them incorrectly is foolish. The English language is convoluted because of the way it was created. Rules from all of the different source languages. Britain was settled by Celts. Then in came the Romans bringing in Latin. Later Saxons conquered Britain bringing in German. Last the Angles invaded bringing in French. As a result English is a complex language with rules and words from all of the languages. For example cactus is singular with cactus in Latin singular with cactae plural now changed to cacti recently in English since ae is sound like a long i.

Yes KJV is the closest to the truth. Since the modern versions contradict the KJV, there must be wrong with their source text. The translation is not the only problem but the source itself.
Humm thinking so sense the KJV is more modern than the Geneva, Bishops Bible, and the Great Bible by you reasoning those are actually more closer to the truth .
Also what about the changes to the KJV sense 1611
Here are just a few of the more than 1,000 changes to the KJV sense 1611
Note the reference to modern edition are those KJVs published sense 1769 . That is the version most call the KJV . That 1769 version makes up for over 99% of the KJV Bibles ever published.
Mark 8:14Modern editions italicize the disciples, in accordance with S E. But the text of 1611 was probably based upon B.Mark 9:42Modern editions italicize these, in accordance with S B E. But the text of 1611 was probably based upon C Vul.John 8:6Modern editions italicize as though he heard them not at end of verse, in accordance with S B E. But the text of 1611 was probably based upon C S1546 S1549 and the Bishops' Bible.Acts 1:4Modern editions italicize them after assembled together with, in accordance with S E. But the text of 1611 was probably based upon B.Acts 26:3Modern editions italicize because I know, in accordance with S E. But the text of 1611 was probably based upon B.Acts 26:18Modern editions italicize and before to turn, in accordance with S E. But the text of 1611 was probably based upon B.1 Cor 14:10Modern editions print the words of them in ordinary type, in accordance with S B E. But the text of 1611 had them in italics, in accordance with Vul.Heb 12:24Modern editions italicize that of before Abel, in accordance with S B E. But the text of 1611 was probably based upon Er.1 John 3:16Modern editions italicize of God after love, in accordance with S E. But the text of 1611 was probably based upon C B.Rev 11:14Modern editions italicize and before behold, in accordance with S. But the text of 1611 was probably based upon B Vul.Rev 19:18Modern editions italicize both before free, in accordance with S B E. But the text of 1611
Note words in italics in the KJV refers to words added to scripture so that sentences make sense.
So it is evident that some how the translators got it wrong not really knowing what was added for context and what was present in the manuscripts they were translating .
Ok that is just the beginning.
Here are some other changes noting translation correction

You just wish to argue. Keep with substance.
The correct definitions of words is part and parcel of the substance. This is the problem with the KJV, language has changed definitions of words since have changed. For example kill in 1611 meant first degree murder. It doesn't mean that today. In KJV it states as a commandment, "Thou shalt not kill.". In modern translations it says "You shall not murder." There are many other problems with the KJV because of language has changed and understanding of nature has increased dramatically. We now know that satyrs and unicorns do not exist. There are many words that no longer exist like algum and ouches. I think there are redeeming features of it as long as you understand its failings. For example "The carnal mind is enmity against God" which in modern translations has lengthy sections of scripture meaning the same thing.

Italics and non italics = same sense. Scrivener is not actually a KJV guy. he was a member of Wescott and Hort of the Revise Committee. His job is ti back translate English KJV to Greek. However, Scrivener did not recommend all of the readings in his TR and suggested removing numerous verses...

You just wish to argue. Keep with substance.
What is more substantial than the actual meanings of the words used. Certain atheist groups like communists change the definitions of their words to confuse people into thinking they mean something else. Therefore it is very important and substantial to have the meanings of the words defined correctly!! The dictionary definitions should be used by everyone but that is not the case.

You keep using the absolute wrong word in describing the new bibles. They are not interpretations but translations!! There is a very major difference between those two words. An interpretation is where something is put into different words to try to explain the meaning. A translation is takes the original text and accurately creates the exact meaning in a different language.
You use the description/word you wish and I will use the one I wish ok?

the facts are that there are a number of translations of the Bible made in the last 50-60 years and there are also a number of interpretations made in the last 50-60 years.

so either calling them all translations or calling them all interpretations is generalizing in a way that ignores some segment of the actual population. y'all ought to get specific if you want to bash Bibles; it's not a one-size-fits-all argument to make, from either direction.
