This site, including the Singles are not half as busy, or friendly, as they once were.
Every evening the Singles forum exploded with posts as people got off work.
Friday and Saturday nights the Singles forum users would go into a Singles chat room that was up then, and spend hours in real time and voice/video chat. During it's peak we were averaging 30 people each night. A few times we nearly hit 50.

My preferred pizza varies. But currently pineapple and pepperoni. Usually my favorite involves pineapple and something else.

Exciting? Hmm.
Last Saturday, early morning, I ended up in the hospital. I've had bad hips for a few years and one finally started giving me Real trouble. It became too painful to walk, so an ambulance was called.
I stayed there until... Wednesday? Maybe Thursday. Then was transferred here to a physical rehab (a senior center). The food makes me wish I was back in the hospital. Both to get better food and to get treated for what I eat here =P
Most people seem genuinely nice, but also untrained or unqualified. I could go on a rant of the problems that have arisen in my 2 1/2 days, but no need.
I have 18 more days before my insurance stops covering then I'll be forced back home, where I have no idea how I'll get around there.
I need a hip replacement now, but my understanding is the docs are in no hurry. So who knows how long before that happens.
And my other hip is in just as bad of shape, but not hurting. It could start any day now, or a year from now, but it will start. Then I'll go through all of this again.
Yay life.

Missing a few around here, rod1965, mel, seoul, just to name a few.

I wish this forum was busier. I really do.

How are all my single brothers and sisters?

I am in a not too lonely season. How about you? Are you and yours doing ok?

Is there anything exciting going on with you? Anything we can shoot the breeze about, happy or sad?

Agreed. I just want to be an encouragement right now. Don't get fooled, this world is wicked. Seek God's will and pray. We must be warriors not victims!

Ugh at bad food and not qualified. I am glad though that they are at least kind and respectful to you. I assume that because you said they seem genuinely nice. How frustrating and painful. I am pretty certain you have already appealed to your doctor, but have you considered writing them a letter. You have a direct way of communicating that may appeal to their reason and their heart. You know, put their heart into your specific need, rather than just think of you as another patient.

I will add you to my prayers and the doctor as well, to consider NOT waiting on the surgery. I am truly sorry that you are enduring all of this.

Something to shoot the breeze about...

Pizza. What is the best kind in your opinion. And the worst.
Shoot the breeze? Interesting choice of words.

I like taco pizza, it's basically pizza crust, with taco meat, cheese, and lettuce, onion, tomatoes on top. So good.

I run from pepperoni pizza, no thanks!

Reminds me of a quote. Some Christians are spiritual streakers. All they have on is the helmet of salvation.

I'm not the fighting kind but I carry the One inside who does the fighting for me…

Exodus 14:14

I never want to be the one to take anyone out, but He is teaching me to stand firm in the faith, to put on the armor of God.

Ephesians 6:11

Our fight is
not with each other but rather the rulers of the darkness of this world.

Ephesians 6:12

How do we do this...with the sword of His truth, the word.

Ephesians 6:17

He is all we will ever need.

May we seek the kingdom of God and His righteousness first, more and more, every day.

Matthew 6:33

God Bless you all, my beloved brothers and sisters in Him.

I've never heard it put this way. Unfortunately it is true.

I have not even been given the name of the doctor who would be responsible, so I have no way of talking to them. Though I did repeatedly ask for that information when i was in the hospital.

I find that unethical, more than discouraging, like you have zero hope outside of their discretion. What do they suggest you do, anything?

I will need the surgery eventually. But how soon isn't in my control.

I agree with what some of the previous posters have said, how it’s not as busy.

Certainly not all of the reason but I think
some of it, is that it’s not as transparent who you are taking it now.

Previously you could post your age without your entire date of birth. Now you can’t do that so most hide their age. So if you are not careful a 50 year old could end up replying to a 17 year old thinking they are more adult than they are.

The other thing I find hard is how the site allocates you a letter of the alphabet if you don’t have a profile picture. Maybe it’s just me and I’m getting old. But at times I’ve got confused about who I’m replying to.

Also you use to me able to tell instantly if someone was male or female, pink or blue user named etc.

Obviously people could lie about their age and gender but most were accurate.

Now it’s difficult to even know someone’s gender without first checking out their profile. It’s slowed things down a bit conversation wise.

I suppose on a plus side though you have to put more effort into getting to know someone.

I agree with it requiring one getting to know someone without inputting gender or age specifics, less partiality but I would appreciate having more info. I suppose for the sake of privacy and anonymity, I can understand. I guess that I want to believe what ppl say. I have a tendency to be prone to credulity, which opposes being wise as a serpent.

With all that said, it will be nice one day to know the names and faces of the brothers and sisters here one day in Heaven.

It saddens me that we have to be suspicious, using caution and discernment, because we live in a world where the devil prowls seeking who he may devour.

I can say that I am sincere and am who I present myself to be, but proof is in the pudding and still only God knows our hearts.

Well, I did a quick research regarding the slow down on forums, and it seems Facebook is probably a major reason why. Don't know for sure, but that seems to be the consensus. Plus, what is CC offering that makes it the goto place for posting? What added benefit does CC offer that say, other's don't? Are their interesting articles written, special guests, and events that would draw users in? I feel like I need a consultation fee for my insight, but give and take right?

I don't really use Facebook, but about 1 billon people do world wide.

People are attracted to attractive people. What are people attracted to? Beautiful, smart, rich, and funny. Since it's a Christian site, would it be wise to have religious guests come in and offer some words of wisdom? Am I missing the mark? Maybe have some beautiful, some smart, and some funny moderators to post regularly? Who doesn't want attention from beautiful, smart, and funny people? I'm just brainstorming here......

Supreme, everything including anchovies with super thick crust, from dominoes of course
I prefer Papa John's but that's just me. Currently we eat frozen pizza but my wife dresses it up with fresh toppings. I am with you, I much prefer a thick deep dish crust than a thin one. Domino's is OK too. Pizza Hut is acceptable as well. I only had pizza once with anchovies but I remember that it tasted pretty good. I don't care for pineapple though. That's just not right.

You consultation fee is in the mail, lol. Seriously, thanks for your input.

Are their interesting articles written, special guests, and events that would draw users in? Everyone who posts has potential or already is so beautiful and so special, in their own way. We get lots of interesting articles and ideas and lots of opposition to them, lol.

You have me pondering though, brainstorming is such a great idea. The challenge is finding new and fresh ideas. I have noticed some are really good at this.

Some members, the ones we see most often, have been here far longer than myself. They have discussed almost everything it seems. I notice some of the same threads get tossed around more than a pummeled dead horse. I personally believe bringing up the same stuff in different ways is a great way to get different experiences and input.

I agree that facebook is very popular, but don't think we need to be, we are set apart. It would be so cool though for God to use this site as a revival of sorts, huh? Just imagine all that God can do online and off tickles my knowing.

Hey I have an idea...

Maybe you could come up with a new and creative thread, but before you do, I will need to know your price, lol

I believe you to be sincere too. Some members are more open than others. You may be right in that a lot of members may want to protect their privacy. The thing about that though it is hard to really get to know and interact with a member whose private life is completely closed.
