Zechariah 9:14 And the LORD shall be seen over them, and his arrow shall go forth as the lightning and the LORD God shall blow the trumpet, and shall go with whirlwinds of the south.

Zechariah 9:15 The LORD of hosts shall defend them; and they shall devour, and subdue with sling stones; and they shall drink, and make a noise as through wine; and they shall be filled like bowls, and as the corners of the altar.

Zechariah 9:16 And the LORD their God shall save them in that day as the flock of his people: for they shall be as the stones of a crown, lifted up as an ensign upon his land.

Zechariah 9:17 For how great is his goodness, and how great is his beauty! corn shall make the young men cheerful, and new wine the maids.

Has this prophecy prophesied by the prophet been fulfilled yet?

Amos 9:11 In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof; and I will raise up his ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old:

Amos 9:12 That they may possess the remnant of Edom, and of all the heathen, which are called by my name, saith the LORD that doeth this.

Has this prophecy prophesied by the prophet been fulfilled yet?

Jeremiah 30:18 Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will bring again the captivity of Jacob's tents, and have mercy on his dwellingplaces; and the city shall be builded upon her own heap, and the palace shall remain after the manner thereof.

Has this prophecy prophesied by the prophet been fulfilled yet?

Since you asked, there has always been two phrases, even in the current worlds way of explaining things. There's first:

The letter of the law:

Definition of 'the letter of the law'
the letter of the lawCOBUILD idiom
the letter of the law
phrase [preposition PHRASE, PHRASE after verb]
If you say that someone keeps to the letter of the law , you mean that they act according to what is actually written in the law, rather than according to the general principles of it, especially when you disapprove of this.
They had stuck to the letter of the law and in my view they should be ashamed.

The Spirit of the Law:

the spirit of the law
noun phrase

Definition of the spirit of the law: the aim or purpose of a law when it was written

They seem to be more concerned with obeying the letter of the law than with understanding the spirit of the law.

When the Holy Spirit gives a man a "revelation" about something, that man may be determined to share that "revelation" with another man. When he translates the revelation into words, either speech or written words the "spirit" of that revelation may or may not convey with them. It is the "Spirit" of the words that gives them meaning, not the letter.

The letter of the law is a distinct entity from the spirit of the law. 2. The letter of the law is what the law states; the spirit of the law is the moral, apiritual consensus of the interpretation of the letter.
You have made all this up to JUSTIFY your work at the law.

There is no SPIRIT OF THE LAW.

There is Law.

And there is SPIRIT.

Two separate, distinct things.

You can follow one or the other. One way is Life. One way is Death.

To purposely conflate these two is to purposely draw people away from Christ and BACK to the Yoke of Bondage.

The Spirit doesn't interpret the letter. The Spirit is what the letter COMMANDS. For some carnal humanist to say that his interpretation of the letter is "Spiritual" is pretty much a joke. Its just circular reasoning designed to justify working at the 10 commandments.

There are just too many excuses and too much justifying working at the law for this to be recognized by someone who has come to Christ and received Rest from his work at the law.

I think I am starting to believe that the SDA's have it right. The Sabbath IS a sign of Gods people. Its just not resting on saturdays like they think. Its coming to Christ and receiving Rest from our work at the law.

Isn't it funny how even cults get things right, but then twist it, and it is TOTALLY wrong?

It’s absolutely stunning how many people call Jesus a liar. He teaches us that if you have faith in Him you have salvation. Why is that so difficult for some people to comprehend?

Like I said, I don't understand why legalists and judaizers can't just be honest in what they believe. If you are ashamed of it then its probably not all that great to begin with.

Then to say silly things like "falsely accused" and "foul, amateurish replacement for real debate and dialogue" when you KNOW that is what you said actually makes YOU the false accuser. Doesn't it??

Its funny how Judaizers like to throw out that term replacement theology. Its just like the term anti-Semite. Its designed to place someone on the defensive and in the wrong automatically.

But what you really mean by replacement theology is me saying that the Lord Jesus Christ DID NOT FAIL.

Well, the Lord DID NOT FAIL. Sorry to inform you of this sad piece of information for you. The Lord fulfilled everything He came to fulfill. It is just YOUR LACK OF FAITH that is holding you back from seeing this.

Its probably easier to accuse someone of being a false accuser than actually having a conversation that would show that certain theology is ANTI-CHRIST and ANTI-FAITH.
hi, I believe in the Royal Law as exemplified by the Beatitudes. I have a question about what the Lord says in Ezekiel 20: 25:

"25 So I gave them other statutes that were not good and laws through which they could not live;"

What Covenant does it sound like He regrets putting into effect? Surely it is not the Abrahamic covenant. What is the Lord telling His

prophet? What are we to understand? How do we know which Covenant it might be wise to avoid being under?

thanks

The workers at the law don't understand faith in Christ.

All they understand is working for reward. The slave mentality. Receiving Free Gifts makes no sense.

I don't know why True Christians tolerate it. Maybe there just aren't enough of us...?

Matthew 11:29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
It’s absolutely stunning how many people call Jesus a liar. He teaches us that if you have faith in Him you have salvation. Why is that so difficult for some people to comprehend?
Because they don't like the fact that Satan is here to snatch that faith away, and knows way more than they do and the only way to withstand the fiery darts of Satan is to put on the whole gospel armor. They think if they have the helmet of salvation they are covered and that just isn't what the Word says. There are more pieces to that armor. They just stop there. You know who loves that????

It would be the Mosaic. The 10 commandments.

But the Beatitudes are only a MAGNIFICATION of these same laws that "they" could not live.

By their own understanding and own strength that is.

Once a person comes to Christ (and a LOT of things happen to the individual) they can begin living as commanded. Not by their own understanding and strength but by the Power of Christ.

Romans 3:31 Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.

No im not saying that, you can not find me saying that becasue I never did. Come on man you keep putting words in my mouth.

Im saying love, righteousness and sin are defined in God's law. Not the power to walk in it.

No law no love according to Jesus, He does not say "because no love people do not follow the law":

Matt 24:12, “And because of the increase in lawlessness, the love of many shall become cold."

1 John 5:2-3, " 2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and obey his commandments. 3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments. And his commandments are not burdensome.

The power to walk in it comes from the holy spirit.

Ezekiel 36:26-27, " 26 And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. 27 And I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes and be careful to obey my rules.
A whole lotta "Christians" by/in love, already follow much of the Mosaic law. Relying solely on "love" in "the covering" of those sin/s of not following the Mosaic law.
To the point of not knowing, or (to some, as can be seen in this thread, not to mention Christendom in general) not even caring, nor getting them to acknowledge (at least) concerning those sin/s that love doesn't cover.
Jude
4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.
There's only one way that this can happen. When "love goes blind!" Which is the result of "lopsidingly beleiveing" love covers EVERY SHORTCOMING IN THE BOOK! And then some! As they make up even more ways of "coming up short!"
And then, go headlong into "vain and profane pursuits" trying to "further justify their alibi's" in doing so.

When this is pointed out to them? They get as "busy as a 1 armed paper hanger", in their trying to force their love in covering up these improprieties.
When they realize their love can't, and won't cover them? Do they ask themselves why this is so? Is there something in the "law" I am missing here? Or answer themselves like "I just need to go out and "love some more?"
"I mean, Jesus fulfilled the law!" Right?
This is around the time they start denying He who sent Christ!
"Jesus IS GOD!"
IF this were so? Why would there be any "seat" at the Right hand side of the Throne?
IF this were so? Who was the One sitting on His Throne, telling someone (who?), "Sit there at my right side until I make your enemies (as) a footstool?"

Think it's easy "exposing" the "son of perdition?"
Ask the ones that don't want him exposed!
Take a ride on "their" merry-go-round! As they speed it up in their attempts to "throw you off!"
As the call for even more "1 armed paper hangers" goes out, trying to aid them in prying your fingers off his ride!

It`s a term that you are hung up on. The true desires of Jesus, the will of Jesus was not fulfilled by His life. He wanted to save Israel and it hurt Him that He did not.

Different issue then the one you raise here in which you reference God`s secret plan of salvation.
Um no

I referenced the fact that isreal and jerusalem according to daniel 9 would be destroyed after the messiah was killed, and other prophecies which show that israel would reject her messiah and be restored later at the return of christ

And enough with the pot shots ok? Your missed my whole point and then made yourself look bad by mocking me., that was kind of foolish don't you think? You could have just asked to clarify what inwas saying that would have been better

The man is being stupid, he needs to stop beating the dead donkey. Perhaps that is a lesson for all of us?

Do you think about how Israel failed in the law because they didn't have faith, and then we are given the "gift" along with a repeat of the commands by Jesus, that maybe we should follow those commands? not to mention all the others He gave? Besides the 2 on which the law and prophets hang?

If we are wed to the written Law we are held in a cell unable to live for Christ and produce frtit for Him. Unable to be His Bride. Please direct me to that which makes this null and void? That shows me Christ will commit spiritual adultery by wedding someone married to the Law?

Is there now no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus? What must be missing for there to be no condemnation?

I appreciate your desire to live for the Lord

Thanks

I guess it’s a good thing nayborbear’s works maintain his salvation. 🙄
Much more then "salvation by grace through faith alone", going on here! MUCH MORE!
For some of us? "Salvation by grace through faith alone?" Is where "the journey" STARTS!
Mocking and scoffing those hearing the "Higher Calling" of God?
Does not bode well for thee!

Are you saying the "son of perdition" doesn't claim to be the Lord Jesus Christ?
Hi, that is ,imho, an incredibly sad claim to never know if believing is a blessing or a curse. I have never known it to be a blessing and pray that will be true for you and all people who may feel this way
