The question does not exist.

Jesus never spoke of "grace," Saul contrived and ballooned it, and because Jesus' spoken Word is too difficult for Preachers to handle, today they love to chit-chat about what Saul wrote. Saul was very skilled, even Divinely Inspired, to write many ambiguous ideas which need constant elaboration, far more than the direct and axiomatic Statements From Jesus.

Today, The Gospel is "Your Are Very Nicely Saved By God If You Feel Emotionally Comfortable About Saul And What He Seemed To Say."

The Gospel is not from Jesus, "If You Forgive Others Their Trespasses, The Father Will Forgive You Your Tresspasses."
This is quite absurd!
Paul had many direct axiomatic statements and Jesus spoke in parables.

And Jesus did and talked about a lot more than what is in your reductionist statements.

@JoWillie - I would sooner believe:
1) Peter who walked with Jesus
2) John who walked with Jesus
3) Paul who had an encounter with Jesus on the road to Damascus - and in turn turned the gentile world upside down for the Gospel

Than....

4) Jowillie appearing on BDF saying that most of the bible is wrong.

Make sense?

and regard the patience of our Lord as salvation; just as also our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given him, wrote to you, as also in all his letters, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which the untaught and unstable distort, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures, to their own destruction.
2 Peter 3:15‭-‬16 NASB

This passage right here is the screwdriver to the gums of all that nonsense.

So you admit Paul was divinely inspired? So which was and which wasn't inspired. If you bring one doctrine into question every other should follow too.
Our Father is so gracious unto weakly discerning readers of Scripture, that He prefaces almost all of The Textus Receptus with the source of its information.

"Thus Saith The Lord..."
"The Word of The Lord Came To Me ..."
"Jesus Said..."
"The Words of Solomon ..."
"Speak I, Not The Lord ..."
"To My Son Timothy ... "
"To The Twelve Tribes ..."
"To The Believers At Ephesus..."

God's Word is directed to its specified recipients. Not all of God's Word is directed at today's Christendom. Much of it is interesting background information upon which The Church today is at liberty to chat about it, but not act upon. Hence, there are multitudes of chatty, speculative Preachers, Academicians, and Pundits who like to sound informed, yet do nothing. Apostle James nicely clarifies this issue. Lol.

What if I told you Jesus used the word grace? You just did not find it because you looked up english translations, go to the greek, the word for grace is used by Jesus ;)
There is no reason to be shy or fearful. State the Greek word.

I am at work. Some people have actual jobs.

They may be doing nothing but that's far better than discrediting a good 70% of the New Testement.

If here in their reply anyone talks about myself, I will report them.
that might work in one of your atheist forums, but not here

I'll just say goodbye now unless of course you would like to stay and come to Christ for forgiveness of your sins?

I would have to say I thought the secular world had a misconception of Christianity, but when I came here I found out some Christians have even more of a misconception. Thus far I have see ones that only claim to follow Paul, now it’s only follow Jesus. Not to mention that one that claimed Jesus wasn’t even God. Oy vey!

she is not a Christian

people need to check profiles when someone comes in here with boots to step on Christianity

they are not here to discuss

they are here to do with this op is doing

It kind of absurd that an non-believer thinks they can come and make assertions that will disrupt the faith of others.

So let's clear one thing up. John chapter 1 state in the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God, and the word became flesh. So Jesus is the word which means that every word of scripture he not only said but are him in essence. So if Grace is ever in his word old testament and new, He said it. Not only did he said it but it is in essence him. He and his word are inseparable.

So this heretic is an abomination, because if any one comes to teach a different gospel they are anathema.

I affirmed that after my post. Its probably a sock-puppet profile anyways. Of course if this is all a goof, I don’t mind having a conversation. Who knows what could come of it.

Was Saul referring to Grace for forgiveness from a sin, or Grace for help with a physical problem?

Simply because the word "grace" appears there does not mean everybody's idea of "grace" is correct. In fact, no place in Scripture shows Jesus, any of the Twelve Apostles, or a True Prophet defining the word "grace."

That means anybody can make up their own definition of "grace," and then can wait until they die to find out how wrong they were.

sigh

so what did Christ include the word grace for when He said MY grace is sufficient?

a trollin we will go ....... don't bump your head on the bridge now ;)

The word "hamburger" is not in the Bible. Neither Jesus nor anyone else in Scripture ever said it.

So does that mean that Christians shouldn't eat them?

:p:rolleyes:

no no silly

it means they don't exist

Is it a discredit to cite Scripture's internally stated qualifications?

Or, is the real discredit to imagine what is not there because of popularized wishful thinking?

Saul wrote "My grace is sufficient."

Remember, there is no indication Saul was quoting Jesus. It requires lite & Chatty imagination to think so.

Actually, the context of 2 Corinthians 12:9 is clear that the Apostle Paul is quoting what Christ said to him

2 Corinthians 12:7b-10

Therefore, in order to keep me from becoming conceited, I was given a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me. 8 Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. 9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. 10 That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

I can't figure out if you're only a troll or one who follows the Anti-Pauline heresies but either way your short visit here is over.
