This flesh corps I walk around in will die, and will rot to dust in the ground.
This is a little anecdote for ya. One evening I was out a long way into the woods at a pond fishing. That night when it was dark I decided to leave and go home. Some how I got off the trail into the woods and suddenly the ground gave way and I fell down into a hole. I found my self in some old cemetery with no visible markers only sunken graves. I did find some graves stones laying down and buried under leaves and debris and decayed plant matter. Guess what was in that hole...
Nothing but dirt. Not even bones. And at one end of that hole was a stone buried under years of decayed plant matter. you could tell it was once engraved, but you could not tell what was written.
Moral of the story; this flesh will rot in the ground and return to dust. From dust to dust.
It helps to remember that this flesh is dead already. No need to placate it's lusts.
You're more than dust. That was the point of my post. Per the scriptures.

The Passover started the day the lamb was taken to the priest for inspection (that period is referred to as Passover), but the conclusion of the actual feast was the Friday (when Jesus was crucified) and the Saturday. The one thing that should give us a clue that Jesus and His disciples were not eating the Passover lamb was that the Passover lamb had to be eaten by 6 o’clock the Friday afternoon before the Passover Sabbath started and they were eating supper.

Mat 26:2 Ye know that after two days is the feast of the passover, and the Son of man is betrayed to be crucified.

This is also an indication that the actual feast was only in two days. God’s word and timeframes are perfect.
God does not count time as we do. Man's counting is the issue.

The other thing you need to consider is because the end of year period is referred to as Christmas holidays, does it make every day in December the 25th?

It is the same with the Passover, not every day is the feast but the period was referred to as Passover/Pesach.
You might consider reading the Matthew scripture linked, rather than trying to make its teaching fit your argument.

I feel certain that you are not worshiping a God you know, but have changed God.

First, it is a law of the Lord that our salvation from the beginning of time has been through faith not works. That is a law. Salvation has been offered to man from the time Adam fell, it has always been through the blood of Christ. Christ is eternal as you may read in the first verses of John. Before people knew of the Christ as we know Him, a God who lived as a man and faced death for us, there had to be blood that symbolized the blood of Christ.

We are to be guided by the word and the word is written as scripture. It guides us so we can know the policies of God, and God is Lord of the spirit. In that guidance we are told God blessed the last day of the week and told to keep that day holy. It is done, finished, blessed. No other day of the week has that special blessing. On top of that, there is no scripture telling us God took that blessing or those guides for us away.

The first day of the week was named by sun worshipers and called sun day. The gentiles who became Christians after Christ were so used to going to their sun worshiping church on Sunday that they simply kept it up when they changed Gods and looked for justification for doing so. Now our entire world follows the sun worshipers. Paul said to not judge anyone about what day they worship, but he didn't say that God ordered first day of the week. Paul and Christ went to synagogue on the last day of the week.

The word speaks of being under law, and we do not face death through the law when we have Christ, but it is in error to say that we may thumb our nose at the words of the Lord because we aren't under law for life but under grace. It is a law that we have grace, everyone agrees we are under that law even those who say we aren't to listen to law.

the issue with this is the " we". unless you are jewish, then then you were not ever commanded to keep the Law, the feasts, the Sabbath, the dietary laws.

all those were in the Mosaic Covenant, which, according to Leviticus 26, was made with " the fathers of those who came out of egypt"''

so, if you cannot trace your ancestry back to those who crossed the red sea, then that covenant, and all it contained, was not made with you.

and , Acts 20 v.7 points to a sunday meeting, as well as Paul's command to " set something aside to give on the first day of the week"

and , of course, Jesus rose AFTER the Sabbath had passed, not on as you lying judeaizers say...

Christians celebrate the Lord's day, as did John , who was " in the Sprit on the Lord's day"

stop judeaizing and accept Scripture as written, no spin.

“There seems no difficulty in supposing that the Gentile Christians joined with the Jewish Christians in celebrating the Paschal feast after the Jewish manner, at least to the extent of abstaining from leaven at the love feasts. And we see that Paul still observed the ‘days of unleavened bread’ at this period of his life” (The Life and Epistles of Saint Paul , page 40)

"I question the common assumption that Sha'ul's Passover language here is entirely figurative. 1 see no compelling reason in the context to excise the plain sense (p'shat) from the phrase, "Let us celebrate the Seder'' Instead, it seems that the early believers. Gentiles included, observed the Jewish feast of Pesach. As we will see, their service combined traditional Jewish Passover symbolism with new symbolism relating to Yeshua the Messiah's central role in Jewish and world history. Evidently the Corinthian congregation observed Passover without supposing that, as many of today's Christians might think, they were "going back under the Law." David Stern

I think Blik that you meet a lot of resistance concerning your faith and right understanding of God's law and its purpose for those of us who are in Christ, as Jesus taught as well when He said, if you love me keep my commands, because there are sects in the faith that teach the Old Testament is obsolete. Therefore, it isn't beyond reason that referencing anything from the Old Testament would garner comment from members of said sect. Just a thought so that you might consider the source of some push back on Christian forums. Blessings to you sister. You are His light in the darkness.

Holy Spirit God indwells the believer wherein God's laws are written on the heart of that believer, so that they may never be far from them. Indwelling Holy Spirit God, His laws written on the heart of the believer. One cannot separate God's intention that He leads us on the path of righteousness from that sacred space within the newly created temple of Holy Spirit God; the believer.

Psalm 119 is known as one of the many Acrostic Psalms. "We can learn the aleph-bet by examining various Biblical passages which are written as acrostics (alphabetically ordered verses and each first word commencing with each Hebrew letter of the alphabet in turn, from 1 through to 22). Psalm 119 is a famous example, written with 8 verses for each of the Hebrew consonants in order, so verses 1-8 each have a first word beginning with 'aleph and verses 9-16 each have a first word beginning with beth, and so on."

The above reference is shared for those who wish to study further.
I haven't shared a source that hasn't been subject to ridicule for some reason. Slights include denegrating the source because of the teacher at the source. And yet, what I think isn't considered often here among people of Christ, and those especially who make such remarks, is that in this forum we're all acting as teachers of and to one another. Perhaps we might consider that before we ridicule a source off this forum. Especially those that are far more learned than we.
I think you are so correct that there is resistance because of teachings of sects of religion. There is only one truth and yet just think of how numerous are different interpretations.

For years I was following the doctrines of the sect I belonged to until someone challenged me to study only scripture. When I saw some errors in my understanding, finally, I began searching for when that interpretation was first published. Some of it was from the very first church councils and those councils did not have a goal of being certain what they taught was true. A lot of it was instigated by the anti Jewish feelings, not bible at all. It made me cry to think I was so taken in for so long.

The truth of the Lord is so logical, so beautiful, so filled with love. Even the parts that can seem horrid like the flood has beauty in it when they are understood from the Lord's view of wanting an earth for us that is safe and joy filled.

Like I said to you, I am not going to argue over this. It is my/your decision to trust the Bible and only the Bible. I prefer not to drink muddy water and you now have the facts. Use it, don't use it.

"We" ;) have to remember that it was not only Israel at mount Sinai, and we also need to remember that Ephraim became a multitude of nations. Whether we like it or not we need to read the full scripture and understand that the law was always a marriage contract (ketubah) between God and His people, and in that He revealed His character to us.

If we read the law, we will also see that we are already adhering to a large part of it anyway by following Jesus our King.

I have nothing against God's Law, all things from God are good.

but, here is the issue, Israel only was given the Law and the Sabbath. only specific to the land of Israel, as any who came to dwell with the Jews had to adhere to the Toarh
by Jesus time, there were proselyte's . greeks or non jews who followed judeaism, but did not do circumcision .

Jesus came to redeem all, those under the Law, those not under the Law. but , redeem us to Himself, buy following His words while on earth ( " the words I speak to you, they are life). present tense.

so, we are redeemed to follow Christ in the New Covenant, not the letter of the Law in the Old Covenant.. the letter kills , the Sprit gives life.

While we walk through this valley of the shadow of death, this body that will return to dust, is the only contact you or anyone else will ever have. All you can ever know of me is this dust, until May haps we meet on the other side.

This had me thinking as well, so you don’t think there’s any part of you that is known today of you that will not be known on the other side?

2 Corinthians 3:6 - who also made us sufficient as ministers of the new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life. 7 But if the ministry of death, written and engraved on stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of the glory of his countenance, which glory was passing away, 8 how will the ministry of the Spirit not be more glorious? 9 For if the ministry of condemnation had glory, the ministry of righteousness exceeds much more in glory.

By the Lord yes he knows all and will know all.
By my loved ones they will know me on that side but it will not be the same. I will no longer be scared and flawed,
For those who maybe don't know me well at all it will be like a fresh new meeting.

Yes so the statement of never knowing of anything of this dust is not really true, because something will be known later

Great post. :) That is why it is important I think to know the background f the people and the time when we read scripture. And also the language style the Hebrews used so as to gather the full picture of what the Old Testament did to lay the foundation for understanding the pending New.

Unfortunately Denominationalism and those churches that teach only the New Testament, saying the Old Testament is obsolete, or that it does not apply to the church today because it is strictly the record of God's relationship with the Hebrews and Israel. The anti-Jewish stance in those Denominational practices, dogma, lead many a congregant astray. And I think that is what is responsible for so little understanding of the New Testament today by those affiliated with such churches. They have no foundation in how the NT came to be; through the OT.
There was no Denominations/sects in the early centuries of our faith. That split of the people of Christ was due to the Great Schism of 1054 A.D. . And we've been a fractured people ever since. :(
People hold their faith in their particular sect or denomination rather than hold faith to the simple pure truth of God's words.
