Yes, I agree. It's definitely Not easy, especially with people close to us being negatively impacted. I know someone who's son lost their job because of this Corona mess. Not to make light of the situation, but I think it's about perspective. Even a Christian can succumb to fear, doubt, despair, etc. I'm not immune to that at times. However, there's plenty of that already in the world and we can already do it to ourselves. Our feelings won't change the circumstances. We can be miserable or we can try to make lemonade when life throws us some lemons. We have our hope in God and can do little things that might make a difference to someone. Like just because we can't save all the starving children in the world doesn't mean we shouldn't bother trying to help one we come across. There's quite a bit of doom and gloom right now, so why add to it? Maybe to acknowledge that no one is alone in feeling some of these things, but I wouldn't advise staying "stuck" there. There's a potential for things to get worse, but if our light is extinguished then how great will the darkness be? We need to be lights in the world, especially now. That's why I feel it's great when we can encourage one another, but also agree that it's good to be open about our fears and such because even that is encouraging. You're not alone. Besides God, we have each other.

Good morning C.R., apparently I missed some turmoil and accusations, good thing, it was late , after I pile in around 6 or 7, I like to as we know the day goes on and we all become tired, sometimes frazzled and we can post, think, and/or say things that we wouldn't in the morning when we are not tired, I like to remember how His mercies are new every morning. Sorry to hear about your experience Subhumanoidal. Everybody that leaves their faith has their (often personal) reasons. I haven't been on the forums long so I didn't know, hence why I thought your post was informative. You do bring another perspective. I like friendly, open discussions. If people don't receive us, then shake off the dust and move on rather than enter a pointless argument. Agree to disagee. I also would be curious why you choose to participate in a Christian forum. No requirement to be Christian, so perhaps it's to make people think, question, and maybe "come to reason"? I've had some conversations with atheists and some are very kind. The hardest were with my brother who fell away from our faith for perhaps a period of 3 years? He would know. We used to be Catholic and about the time I became Christian he became atheist. He was angry at the perceived lies and I couldn't get through to him. All I could do was pray. He became Christian about a year ago and still has some struggles, but he's trying. It wasn't through anything I did or said. Nobody comes to the Father unless they are drawn to Him. I think our prayers helped.

PS I agree a "crisis conversion" is not ideal. Also why I don't particularly like "sinners prayer" or " altar call" conversions. Many don't last or may not be genuine, but were done because everyone else was doing it or expected the person to. It works for some, but many forget God when prosperity comes and only remember Him again when calamity hits. That's why I believe if someone has questions it's good to ask them rather than push them away. It's not out of sight out of mind. If they don't get asked, they'll build up and the person will be more likely to lose their faith rather than become stronger in it. We won't know everything, but there are definitely a lot of answers to be found. Seek and you will find, knock and the door shall be opened to you (Matthew 7:7).

Sounds like something a godless satanic red communist government would do, the kind of people who would release an engineered virus upon the world.
