The elect knew and had faith about Christ's Messiahship/Mediatorship even before the cross.
The elect? Now I have to deal with fatalism? Or the elect as in Jesus Christ? Who understood the cross before it occurred?

The first part of your comment is insightful, however you do not yet comprehend what tworks are for the faithful.

No man is aable to give the Maker anything other than the sacrifice of thanksgiving. Works will come to any of the faithful by the Holy Spirt, that is from our Maker.

Many believe being given to work a miraacle is works, and it is, but just simply waiting for Jesus to return in faith is Godly work. Prayer, teaching and sharing with others, from above. Then the more spectacular, but even prayer is works.
Should I decide to do God a favor by helping a poor man, that is not owrks, but when God directs us to do something, it is works, but His doing, through us, not us.
Doing works is different from doing works to prove one has saving faith. The latter is heresy.

Cross shows Christ's Messiahship/Mediatorship. Don't confuse.

So you have ceased from sinning according to mathew 5:48?
in context you will understand what Jesus meant. The fulfillment of the law requires perfection. Basically telling the Jews to fulfill the requirements of the law, one must be perfect.

We are perfect owing to Christ's atonement (Hebrews 10:14).

We are perfect by faith in Christ's atonement (Hebrews 10:14).
it is a foreknowledge, or faith in the promise sort of deal. You are not perfect or ceased from sinning. If you say yes you are then you are lying. We are in sanctification. Perfected on the day of glorification. You are not dead yet. Your still in the flesh.

We are perfect (Hebrews10:14).
Hebrews 10:14 New International Version (NIV)
14 For by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy.

Yes perfect as in the debt or how God views us amidst sin.

But we are being made holy. We are not perfect in this sense.

Here I'll let someone else explain.

Question: "What is glorification?"

Answer:
The short answer is that “glorification” is God’s final removal of sin from the life of the saints (i.e., everyone who is saved) in the eternal state (Romans 8:18; 2 Corinthians 4:17). At Christ’s coming, the glory of God (Romans 5:2)—His honor, praise, majesty, and holiness—will be realized in us; instead of being mortals burdened with sin nature, we will be changed into holy immortals with direct and unhindered access to God’s presence, and we will enjoy holy communion with Him throughout eternity. In considering glorification, we should focus on Christ, for He is every Christian’s “blessed hope”; also, we may consider final glorification as the culmination of sanctification.

Final glorification must await the manifestation of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ (Titus 2:13; 1 Timothy 6:14). Until He returns, we are burdened with sin, and our spiritual vision is distorted because of the curse. “For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known” (1 Corinthians 13:12). Every day, we should be diligent by the Spirit to put to death what is “fleshly” (sinful) in us (Romans 8:13).

IS MATHEW 5:48 WRITTEN TO JEWS AS CLAIMED BY THE LORDSHIP SALVATIONISTS?
It is written to all who trust in the moral law & not only to the Jews.
Why do lordship Salvationists claim Mathew 5:48 is written only to the Jews? It is the
tactic of lordship salvationists to lower the standards of holiness to suit their lust & sinfulness in order to somehow prove they have saving faith.

So you cease from sinning on the day of glorification & thereby don't need Christ to approach the Father ever forever?

How is sin removed? How did sin gain life in you to begin with?
