There are thousands of denominations in the world. I am not for any one of them. Every single one
is living life in the flesh. None are living in the Spirit, if they were living in the Spirit, they would knowt
the bible is not God, the bible is the arrows that point to God. It leads us to the unequivocal inner love
of God. If anyone does not experience the glowing inner love of God, the will continue arguing words.
Since every word in the English language us can be debatable it cannot lead to God. The road that leads
to God is the one that Paul describes

Galatians 1:11
I want you to know brothers and sisters, that the gospel is not of human origin. I did not receive it from
any man, taught it, rather I received it by revelation from Jesus Christ. (End Quote).

It is only when we can translate words into Spirit that we will be one with God and God within us.
I am not judging anyone, churches were built to confuse and not for us to grow. Right now it has
a long, long time to go. That is why I don't judge anyone, their own words betray them.

I trust all to Jesus, not a preacher or teacher or Bishop or Pope. All of those have an agenda . that means
following anyone of those has a multitude of attachments to the words of Christ. So as Paul states, listen
to the revelation of Christ.

So, why are Catholics hated? I guess I missed it...

I understand how you feel about denominations. Do you think everyone hates everyone else from a different denomination?

Don't hate the player, hate the game... I don't agree with a lot of what certain denominations preach as Truth. But I don't hate the people who are in those denominations.

God has His People in all the denominations. Even Roman Catholicism.

I'm not trying to argue with you really, because I think I agree with what you have stated. But I don't see what you have stated as having any relevance to the title of the thread.

Again, I must have missed it.

I don't disagree with anything you said.
But to answer your question, I meant
that why pick out Catholic beyond anyone else.
Personally I would not align myself with anyone
because they want to nail your feet to the floor.
I agree with Isaiah where he writes: We will run
and not grow weary for our God will be our strength,
we will fly like and eagle, we will rise again.
Therefore I take our Lord Jesus Christ as my only
teacher and saviour,

The claim is made that Catholics are hated. No studies or surveys are quoted. It is taken as a fact and then bandied about to polarize. But if the question comes up, I think the overwhelming answer would be that the Roman Church is a fraud but the people in it, though they be our enemies, must be LOVED (Matt.5:43-44). I spent six years working in a Middle Eastern Monarchy. I neither saw nor heard of a single act against Roman Catholics. The Emir even allowed them to worship freely, if not proselyte. If anybody is an enemy of the Romans it should be Islam - but there was peace.

Correct. And a very misleading statement. Christians --- more than any other group -- must make sure that everyone understands that there is a HUGE DIFFERENCE between (a) hating Catholics (for no reason other than the fact that they are ensnared in a religion) and (b) exposing the false doctrines and practices of the RCC (which are leading millions astray).

1. Catholics -- as such -- are not hated, and should not be hated. They are generally very fine people. If anyone hates a Catholic person (simply because they are Roman Catholic), then that is an egregious sin. Which means that the hater is probably not even a genuine Christian. Perhaps a Radical Islamist.

2. The teachings of the Catholic church however must be exposed for what they are, since God and Christ hate false doctrine and practice. But we do not need to hate them either, but simply expose them to the light of Bible truth.

CHRIST HATED THE DEEDS AND DOCTRINE OF THE NICOLAITANS
But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate. ... So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which thing I hate. (Rev 2:6,15)

Hello Relic, I'm afraid that I'm not following you. What do you mean when you say that our churches teach that the 'Bible is God' (and how are they doing that)

...churches were built to confuse and not for us to grow.
I'm not sure what you mean by this statement either, so if you wouldn't mind elaborating a bit, that would be great. Thanks :)

What do you mean by, "following any one of those has a multitude of attachments to the words of Christ"

Finally, what is the nefarious agenda that you believe all of our human preachers and teachers are guilty of  (also, is this agenda something that our very first teachers and preachers were also guilty of, like the Apostles, Paul, John, Peter, etc.?)

Thanks again!

~Deut
p.s. - God appoints and the Holy Spirit gifts teachers in the church. Since this is true, why do you believe that we should disregard what they have to say to us?

1 Corinthians 12
28 God has appointed in the church, first apostles, second prophets, third teachers....

simply put, I don't believe in putting my faith in the hands of some pastor or preacher o whatever].
I believe that we make our source of faith, all of our source from our Lord Jesus Christ. Not someone has
chewed over the words to tried to feed us with their own flavor ...Christ and Christ alone and Christ only is
all that is necessary.

Hello again Relic, I don't know of anyone who, "puts their faith in the hands of some pastor", rather, they put their faith in the One who appointed their pastor and gifted him with the ability to understand and teach His word. We also trust that God has given our pastor the words/message that He knows that our particular congregation needs to hear each week.

Also, as I asked you in my last post, if "Christ and Christ alone and Christ only", is all that is necessary, then why does God choose to appoint and gift prophets, preachers, teachers (pastors/elders) to teach us, pray for us, & lead/guide us as members of His body, the church (and also command us to support our pastors financially)

Thanks!

Hebrews 13
17 Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they keep watch over your souls as those who will give an account. Let them do this with joy and not with grief, for this would be unprofitable for you.

Some people believe Catholicism is "Babylon the Great" which doesn't put them in a good light, but, yes there is a difference between hating the people and hating the obvious lies that they teach their people to teach to teach to others, especially their own children, and then they all continue to act upon those lies.

No one has all the answers. Just because we might break away from any religious denomination doesn't mean all our beliefs are true and correct either. "...do not lean on your own understanding" (Proverbs 3:5) But until we get things figured out, maybe it's a good idea to be part of some kind of spiritual group that you can gather with as the Bible speaks about being part of a brotherhood. These forums are nice, too.

There is the great whore on seven hills. Whoredom in the Word is leaving God for one-s own thinking, and this is definitely the RCC B"UT hold on! That great whore is the mother of all whores.

Now what apostate denominations could that be? I suppose anything that wanders away from the faith of Abraham as taught by our Savior.

Those who want to undermine those trying to reach catholics with the truth that their religion is false will make the accusation that the one seeking the salvation of Catholics hate those catholics.. This is an attempt to undermine their attempts at sharing the truth with the deceived..

They are the enemies of God and the true enemies of catholics. When they call people who love the truth haters of catholics..

To BELIEVE Christ alone is all that is necessary! And 2,000 years ago Christ said to Simon..""You are Peter and upon this rock I will build MY Church." (Matt.16:17-19) So Christ built ONE Christian Church, not thousands of disagreeing churches, 2,000 years ago. How old is your Church? The One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church can trace itself back Bishop by Bishop for 2,000 years to Jesus Christ as it's personal founder. Not Luther in 1521 A.D.. Not Calvin.. Not Wesley.. Not Smith.. Darby.......
I don’t hate Catholics but when I learn someone is Catholic my heart sinks.
That is because you have been taught Catholicism by..non or even anti-Catholics. I too was raised that way, to believe in all of the myths about Catholic teaching that are simply NOT the truth! Like.."Catholics worship Mary." When the Catholic Church really teaches that.."ONLY the Blessed Trinity is worthy of worship." Or.."Catholics put the Pope above Christ." When the Pope's job description is.."The servant of the servants of God." Or.."Catholics crucify Jesus over and over again at every Mass." When the real teaching of the oldest Christian Church is that the ONE sacrifice of Jesus Christ, with incense, is re-PRESENTED at every Mass..not redone! It is as the prophet Malachi foretold.. "From the rising of the sun to it's setting my name is great among the Gentiles, and in every place incense is offered to my name, and a pure offering (Jesus Christ). For my name is great among the Gentiles says the Lord of hosts." (Malachi 1:11) Please don't despise the Eucharist! Because our Lord goes on to say.. "But you profane it when you say that the Lord's table is polluted, and the food for it may be despised." (Malachi 1:12)

Slow your roll, pussycat. You know nothing about me. My heart sinks when people tell me they’re Catholic because of my experience working directly with Catholics when they are close to death.

Their lifelong culmination of Catholic indoctrination is pitiful, heretical and sorely lacking God’s comfort when they need it most. The majority of Catholics I’ve encountered know little to nothing about God’s grace. Rather they understand fear, condemnation and damnation, which is not what the Gospel (good news) of Jesus Christ is about.

Your judgement of what is in the mind of all Catholics..makes my point. Instead of judging Catholicism by what you were taught by. non Catholics and anti-Catholics..why don't you go to an actual Catholic Church to learn actual Catholicism? You will be glad you did. I was raised to believe all the usual anti Catholic myths too. For instance..Catholics worship Mary..Catholics think all non Catholics are going to Hell..Those evil Priests keep those poor Catholics in fear just so they can control them..." Sound familiar? As Bishop Sheen said - "Perhaps a hundred people hate the Catholic Church because of what it teaches. But perhaps a million people hate the Catholic Church because of what they mistakenly THINK it teaches,"
