physical attraction isn't a bad thing, but i think we all agree that it's not the ONLY thing.

The older a woman gets the less fertile she is. By the mid 30s a woman has reached the prime of her fertility and is on a gradual downward slope of fertility up until menopause. I'm just talking about biological facts here, there is nothing disagreeable about what I am saying. It isn't intended to be inappropriate.

I think you did disregard the value of physical attraction with your most recent reply to me saying that Christians marry at any age because they have surpassed the vanity of physical attraction and simply love unconditionally. I actually did tell you I agreed with the spirit of what you're saying because it's the ideal, but I'm talking about the reality of physical attraction absolutely being something we should discuss.

I do think you had an air of self-righteous piety about you when you said that. It's because I just doubt you would disregard physical attraction and focus solely on spiritual status the same way you're telling others to. Am I wrong?

Also, hey, not trying to step on anyone's toes. I'm sorry if I offended you.
I in no way implied or even actually stated that people of a certain age have somehow passed the vanity of physical attraction and simplify love unconditionally...where on earth do you see such words in the response I have you?..You made that up I your own mind because such a statement or implication is nowhere to be found in what I said.
I was just stating that people get married at any age and gave those age groups of real life examples to illustrate this...that's all I said it for and nothing more..and of course in EVERY normal human relationship there is ALWAYS physical attraction. That just common knowledge..
And yes you're totally wrong.
The majority of comments here are just about height related things..and even if you look at my original thread I did even make reference to whether height has an appeal or physical attraction..
Best you respond to what someone actually says rather that send a responce to something that isn't even there in the 1st place.

Why do you somehow think there is an air of self righteousness?Where are you picking that up from?,
I wasn't talking about physical attraction but responding to your comment that's all.God doesn't expect us to be in denial of the basic humanistic qualities that we have within us because he is the one who created us with them in the 1st place..
Yes men are visual and we treat to what we see which is true and everyone will find someone else attractive to them personally regardless of that persons age.
The bible and I are of the same opinion (The bible came to it first)
That the man is the embodiment of the Glory of God.
That women are to be to their men as they are to be to Christ if they want a good relationship with God and a good relationship with their man.

That the woman is the embodiment of the Glory of Man.
That men are to be to their women as Christ is to the Church if they want a good relationship with God and a good relationship with their woman.

Mutual submission to God and Gods ways of doing marriage = a blessed relationship.
Single submission to God and Gods ways of doing marriage = innocence in regards to its outcome.

Single submission to God and Gods commands of how to do it also = making a good and Godly choice in a mate.

The wrapping on the present may be the most beautiful you have ever seen but the reason you do not return it is because of what is on the inside.

I have a height chart I put in the library. Last year the tallest child was a girl who was about 6 foot tall. she was taller than some of the teachers. She was taller than me.

The children like measuring themselves growing. But I havent put a pair of scales in the library.
I think weight and height need to be in proportion but its true females will have less bone density than males. (goes back to adam and eve again)

something you cant really help, The bible says you cant add one cubit to your stature. Hes just given you so many bone material and hormones in your DNA its not like you can swallow a growth hormone to make yourself taller. You can though, build your body muscles with creatine or wheat protein but people that do that are only concerned with their flesh IMHO.

apparently people that have adapted to live in the mountains are taller than those who live in the valleys.

fertility is an issue for many people but since the world is so polluted these days even babies being born NOW have issues with their health, as our food is constantly being degraded. The rise of children with problem like adhd, autism for example, and neurological disorders are linked to a of lack of vitamins and also drugs and chemicals in our food supply.

I dont think you need to worry about something that you cannot help though. If youve stopped growing taller than sorry the only recourse for you now is high heels. I would be more concerned of spiritual growth than physical growth as Gods ways are much higher than our ways, He can take you to heights you wouldnt dream of attaining when just restricted by your own flesh.

I have a cousin whos married someone very tall so thers a huge height difference between them but it doesnt matter as long as they get along. He can just reach the top shelves and she can reach the bottom. I mean we have ladders and stools to help us shorties reach so its really NO BIG DEAL.

When I was in my teens I was 5-10 and I was shorter than nearly all my male friends. I guess ppl shrink sometimes from age, because now I'm 5-8 1/2. To be honest I never cared if the women I were with, friends or otherwise were taller than me. Most ex gfs were much shorter than me,even my ex wife. I think I dated someone who was close to 6 feet though.

Being taller is important if what you want it on the top shelf.
Need to change light bulb or fire detector battery without a ladder.
Run reasonably fast
See which way to go in a crowd
Big Tall:
If you want to make others think twice before doing something stupid around you.
If you want total strangers to cross the street at night to avoid walking past you

Being shorter is better if it is on the bottom shelf.
of if you live in a place with a low ceiling
or if you intend to live to like 100
or if you want to pay less for clothing and shoes
or if you want to be a plumber or another trade that involves small spaces
or if you want to have a lower risk for back problems
if you want to be better at hide and seek
if you want to own and drive a VW Beetle or even a normal sized care for that matter.
There are both advantages and disadvantages. I have been married 3 times and I was the taller in each of them. However, for the last two marriages, including my current (and last) marriage, I was the younger one, 2 1/2 months younger for the second wife, and my current wife is 17 days older than me. I guess that my preference is for older women.

huh maybe OP is implying that short people look for taller people to marry more than others BECAUSE they want someone to reach on their behalf. I had never thought of it that way, but then Im just average not shorter than average and dont really think about peoples height so much. I think if you were you would be a little self concious about it.

also in my job I lower all the shelves down so my little people can reach the books. I dont want them relying on me every time to get a book for them.

most children do grow to be taller than their parents Ive noticed. But you know what, I personally think people should stop blanket judging people on physical appearance.

I prefer taller women 5'6"-6'0". Im 6'3" and while short girls are cute the avg american woman is 5'3" thats 1' shorter than me and its too much. Taller women have long legs and larger proportions i like and i dont like being 2 or even 3x someones size its creepy.

Bible has something to say about being too tall. Check out Isaiah 28:20

Solution--- you need a longer bed.

I'm 6'1". I don't think I'd feel comfortable dating a woman taller than myself.

There probably aren't very many women who are taller than you @ 6'1" ;):giggle:

The issue of height is one of Biblical interest to me, because some people think "giant" must mean something like thirteen feet tall, when in reality, anyone over about 6'6" makes most anyone else feel like quite a midget by comparison.

I think if I dated someone shorter than me and they kept hinting they wanted to live with me in a tiny home I would think twice because I actually need a bit of head room.

My first car was one of those two door sporty coupe one and I kept banging my head while entering the drivers seat. And everyone had to slide in to get in the back. I think the car yard just tried to sell it to me not just cos it was cheap and what I could afford...I just needed a car and had no idea what a pain they would be. well it was a male salesperson so what would they know about women drivers lol

I traded it for a toyota funcargo that hs PLENTY of room and so I dont get a crick in the neck.

I'd prefer a woman 5'8" or shorter. Then I can pick her up in a romantic gesture as if I was Sean Connery in his prime.
