Please define convict. When you do, remember that your definition needs to make sense in the phrase “ convict the world of righteousness and judgement”, as well as Convict of sin.

Lol, the chapter begins about the day of redemption, when the adoption takes place. We groan within ourselves waiting to be clothed with our new bodies, being conformed in the image of Christ. Right now, we bear the image of Adam, but we shall bear the image of Jesus. That's the blessed hope of the believer in Christ. That's our future adoption of sons.

Remember, there is a future aspect to salvation, but that does not negate the present aspect of salvation. I affirm that adoption also has the same dual perspective, based on the whole of scripture, not one or two passages.

Have you ever read the Bible cover to cover?

My soul is saved, but I'm waiting on the redemption of my body. My body is still under the condemnation of death. It's what's corrupt. It needs changed. It needs to be conformed to the image of Christ.

Adoption in Ephesians 1:5 is connected to predestination, which in turn is connected to election in verse 4, which took place before the foundation of the world.

When did God choose us in Christ? Ephesians 1:4.

God did not choose us in Christ. We were placed in Christ upon believing the gospel, who first trusted in Christ.

Absolutely! I never denied that. What I have explained through Scripture is that the adoption is future. It has not taken place yet. It is the future hope of the believer. Yes, we are sons now though the new birth, but our adoption is future. Remember, the adoption, as defined by Scripture, is the redemption of the body.

It doesn't. The spiritual blessings are according to what has been chosen us in Christ. The spiritual blessings are in Christ.

If there is a future as well as a past aspect to salvation, how does it follow of necessity that since there is a future aspect of adoption, it hasn’t happened yet?

After all, I’m saved, you’re saved, yet there is also a future aspect.

This fact shows that your conclusion does not follow from the premises. It is your opinion, not what the Bible states.
