Revelation 5:10 KJV - "And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth."

Have all your male house speakers been exemplary?
Do you believe your ban on women in leadership of your church gives you the right to impose the same ban in government?

this one verse alone destroys any and EVERY argument you have made aganist women in church speaking, or holding the work of Pastor. so there is nothing that you can say to rebut it.

Hi Lucy, yes women have to patient with this one and some men will never be won over.

Many years ago I found myself among a large assembly of Kellyite Brethren who are the strictest and most exclusive of the Brethrens but they sure liked what I was saying and invited me along for tea which is a great honour from them for they refuse to eat with folks they consider "wrong"

Of course their women were silent in the meetings.

I cracked during tea "however much the sisters are in submission during meeting it is perfectly plain to see who is in charge when they get you all home"

You could have heard a pin drop, there a moment of dead silence as they were not sure if I had not greatly insulted them. Then there was a perfect explosion of laughter.

In sharing with them the sisters loved to tell how during their bible meetings when the brethren will stand one by one and share their insight into scripture [by the Holy Spirit] they all said how before their spouses spoke the Holy Spirit always gave them the exact same insight.

I said that God does have a sense of humour and I asked them if they did not think maybe there was an ever so gentle reproof in it from the Lord. But they were so content to keep silence and so I didn't contradict too much. Unity of heart and mind is the most precious thing with God.

It was amazing how I was able to share the things of the Holy Ghost with those Breths.

God chose her to be an instrument of His judgment. Her gender is only an accent on Gods purpose. Last I checked there were many men willing to follow her foolishness.

Deborah was indeed a leader – pastors are leaders, but that does not mean that Deborah was a pastor. She did not preach a sermon, discipline a member, or determine a doctrine. Her story, while interesting and inspired, has no bearing on this contemporary controversy of whether or not women can Biblically be Pastors.

To say that Deborah was a prophetess and a leader in Israel, does not seem to say anything directly about whether or not women should be preachers in the church.

Suppose I had a cat named Lucy. Suppose I told you that because Lucy is a cat and because cats are animals and because dogs are animals, therefore Lucy is a dog. I’m not sure you would find that convincing because, while all cats are animals, not all animals are cats. My argument is built upon a significant category error.

Likewise, it is not true to say that because Deborah was a prophet and prophets are leaders, therefore women can be any type of leader including the preaching pastor of a church.
