LOL Monkees Cheer up sleepy Jean, oh what can it mean. Everyone knows the Monkees evolved from The Beatles who in turn would have been nothing without Elvis.
Which demonstrates exactly the flaw in evolution. Give an ape a guitar. He'll maybe wack you over the head with it, but you won't get a budding Elvis out of him.

My understanding is that proof is a feature of the legal system and Mathematics, not science. Evidence is useful in all three disciplines although in mathematics it only leads to conjectures, in the legal system it leads to conviction or acquittal and in science it leads to theories being adopted, adapted, or rejected.
The problem with evolutionary "evidence" is that facts contradict the conclusions that evolutionists draw from their observations. And evolutionists can't agree what the "evidence" means either. So it's an intellectual mess, and the underlying principle is "it just happened".

You can choose to prefer G=L/P=F, but that does not remove the fact that G=F/P=L is also internally consistent.

Based on G=F/P=L, mankind formed from the life that existed in dust (microscopic organisms), not monkeys. And that concept is consistent with evolutionary theory.
I suggest that you look up Professor James Tour, among many Christians who are also renowned scientists. He destroys the concept that you suggest.

Job predates Genesis. Chapters 36-38 rather contradict your interpretation.
Is there a specific section of Job 36-38 to which you are referring? I read through and don't see anything that speaks to the subject.

I'm interested. Do you have a good link that highlights that material?

"For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night." - Psalm 90:4 KJV

"one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day." - 2 Peter 3:8b KJV

The comparison to 1000 years (as a specific length of time) is figurative, the concept that a day with the Lord is unfathomably longer than a standard day is not.
amen To God who is outside of time what it a 1000 year or a day? HE is Eternal !!!! No Beginning and NO end The First " Cause uncaused"

Please explain why that's a flaw.

What point was there that I allegedly sidestepped?
You seemed to imply in a previous post that we should only believe things that we can directly observe.

I made the point that I wasn't around to directly observe the holocaust:

I wasn't around to observe the holocaust, but I still believe it happened...because I have evidence.

https://www.jmtour.com/personal-topics/evolution-creation/ is a start. He's done a whole series on origin of life. There are dozens of youtube presentations. I'm not a scientist but I'm not stupid either. The claim that only a scientist can understand OOL and/or evolution is part of the arrogant myth that evolutionist cling to.

You might like to look at this site also. David R Pogge. aka Do-While Jones, produces a web site with a wealth of information and links to resources:

Please explain why that's a flaw.
There is nothing in the genetic code of an ape that will give it the ability to play music. So many gene changes are required that it is beyond the realms of possibility. A human can develop musical skills and pass them onto another generation. The fundamental ability is there. Apes are apes. They may have some amazing abilities - for apes. Nevertheless, they remain apes. Just as the least talented man is still human just as much as the most talented.

From Job 36:22 on it is talking about what God did. As in created. It continues with the animal kingdom in 39 & 40. You need to see that the questions to Job are rhetorical. God knows the answers because He created them. He states this specifically in 40: 15 onward. God made behemoth along with Job.

The language is poetic, but the actual statements are clear enough. If you want to know more, look up Dr Hugh Ross, "A Matter of Days". He's "old earth/young human race (as I am). He literally wrote the book and explains it better than I can.

This is wrong on so many levels.
Playing music is a learned ability and has nothing to do with genetics.

And for extra info, here are videos of apes and monkeys playing musical instruments:

You misunderstood my point. It's not about what "we" observe, but about what anyone was around to observe. Plenty of people "observed" the Holocaust firsthand. Nobody observed evolutionary origins firsthand.

Plenty of people have observed evolution too, you just refuse to accept it or claim it is just "micro" evolution which you say doesn't count.

Exactly; it doesn’t count because the two are fundamentally different!

Let me tell you a story about myself. In my youth, I listened to a load of stuff that is still doing the rounds to this day. Charlatans mainly, like Kent Hovind who makes a fortune from his lies and foolishness. Later, I started listening to debates between Christians and scientists and soon saw that the Christians lost every single time and many are not afraid to lie, obfuscate and do the equivalent of sticking their fingers in their ears and going "la la la" when presented with facts. When I became aware of this I very nearly fell away from the faith and even professed atheism for a while.
A few years ago, God called me back. He had been knocking all the time but it took me a while to answer. I went to hell but He rescued me. Hallelujah!
At that moment I was scared. I knew evolution was true and at the same time I believed in Jesus but I couldn't work out how to justify the two seemingly conflicting ideas. Eventually, after much prayer, God spoke to me and told me to stop worrying about it. So I stopped worrying and now He has given me the answer. I now see (through a glass darkly no doubt) that the Bible is 100% true and is in no way in conflict with any of modern science.
I'm not scared anymore but I am full of the spirit of God and He is telling me to reach out to all the atheists who have been hoodwinked by Christians who professing themselves to be wise have become fools with their profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called.
I will do my best. God bless you all.

Question: what do you think it would look like to observe evolution happening?

Since this discussion is about facts, I’m not going to discuss opinions on speculative matters.
