(Please note this thread is just for fun and is not intended to be taken literally)
So lets say you have USD $1000000 in your bank account, what would you do with all that money ?

Buy a house on a few acres.

Host a bunch of children's contests with cash prizes (my eldest daughter had an opportunity like that when she was 6 and it was an amazing experience for her).

Put money aside for all of my kids.

Randomly help out strangers in need.

Donate it away to people God wants me to, through prayer. You only need enough for rent and food.

Seek His direction first, and probably it will be to expand what I am already giving regularly to ministry.

Set up a scholarship endowment at a local Christian college's missionary program.

Posting that, IS me being the best Christian ever. :)
Being the best Christian ever to you would be using a million dollars to purchase beer and prostitutes? (Your post #6 above.)

This is a poisonous thread, like most of the threads. They draw people into their minds. Jesus rebukes His disciples for 'reasoning'.

If people want to play intellectual games instead of loving their neighbor as their self,

then, naturally, I am against this thread.

It's complete nonsense.

People spend so much time in their mind thinking. And it can only ever amount to nothing.

Be nothing. Take only what you need. And do your best to help others achieve their basic needs too.

I was just trying to be challenging to raise a point.

God bless you.

To clarify,

if someone gave me a million dollars i would immediately donate it ALL to some charity so that it would no longer be a burden to me.

You CANNOT be rich AND follow Jesus. Make up your mind.

Interesting reasoning.

I know a long time ago you wrote a thread asking if it was ok to eat cake while others were starving.

I know you've also written a few posts about your own personal struggles with beer and posting while drinking, so I hope all is well with you and that you are doing ok.

Thanks for taking the time to answer.

What about Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, David, Solomon, and Joseph of Arimathea, the rich man who provided Jesus' s burial tomb?

The Bible even says that it was God who made Abraham not just rich, but very rich. (Genesis 13:2)

Why?

These are major characters in the people whom God blessed with wealth, but you just said the rich can't follow God.

Are you saying that these people weren't actual followers of God?
