Are you the kind of person who makes things happen or are you more of a wait and see what everyone else does type person? Whats easier for you..are you able to get people on board or do you just do things alone.

If you are wait to see what everyone else does are you ok with other people controlling your life? Do they really know whats best for you? Or are you completely trusting.

In terms of faith, how long are you prepared to wait?

Just some questions to ask ourselves.

I am not any of those. I am more of a veteran henchman.

I don't care enough to decide what we will do, but after you have decided what we will do I am very good about figuring out how to do it and implementing the plan.

If the group is a band, I am the roadie.

Im definitely not the take charge kind of strong leader, but I know how to say "no , this plan isn't for me" if thats how I feel as well. I do tend to go with the flow most of the times though.

It definitely depends.

At work, I will definitely step up and get things moving when there is a need, but outside of work, I’m an observer.

I like to see what others are doing and how they are responding. I am fairly easy going and am willing to let others take charge.

I don’t believe all those that go with the flow are necessarily letting anyone control their life. It just has more to do with a personality type.

oh ok for myself...if I just went with the flow all the time I would probably go nowhere. I sort of have to make things happen or nothing will happen.

I dont know if thats because of my personality type or its maybe not having any role models who could make things easier for me or what. Or maybe I just like doing things nobody else does.

i think its definielty easier to go with the flow though, even if the flow is taking you far away from where you really want to go. Though sometimes the flow is just not happening.

I wonder if its a pride thing. Say you dont really want to work for minimum wage, for a big corporate which is what everyone starts at. so maybe you go to school and learn more things hoping to land a better job that maybe higher salary after being qualified. But then you find out that it gets you nowhere and STILL end up with a minium wage job anyway.

then you think well isnt it better to be your own boss, and work for yourself rather than be a slave to someone else. I guess thats why people turn to hustling, or even begging.

then maybe you throw up your hands and think well, minimum wage is better than nothing. I can survive, no big deal. im still alive, even if my lifespan is shortened by many years and I dont even get to enjoy the fruits of my labours. thats all im ever good for anyway. if you join say a union it will be many years to see a change for higher pay to cover the cost of living, but in the end they move those goal posts anyway, as soon as wages are raised the price of everything goes up even more!

I reckon thats how lots of people are and even Jesus was saying be content with your wages. so maybe its just better to be a cog in the machine? Even if your living conditions are deplorable or detoriarating.

i dont know. I think its maybe people are being OVERpaid for what they do, for example, politicans say we will take a twenty percent pay cut because of covid, but if you cut a cleaners wage they would have barely enough to live on PLUS they are doing essential work i.e cleaning.

but the whole virus perhsps came about simply because people werent washing their hands.

Other than God up above and what He has ordained for me I like to be in control of my own destiny. Never been one to follow the crowd and trust everything the government says we should do.

Personality Gem - Ruby
They go hard. They don't like having their time wasted and move quickly, taking swift action and making swift decisions. ... They generally have strong personalities and see anything standing in the way of their goal as something of an annoyance to be steamrolled. They see themselves as winners.

That sounds like the make it happen type. But I also have my emerald side. And a phlegmatic side. I am not really sure. Sometimes I am surprised by own myself. We are all a mixture of personalities.

Emeralds are also regarded as the gemstone that possesses the power to soothe the soul, improve memory and sharpen wit. They also represent such personality traits as loyalty, faithfulness and love, as well as peace, harmony, and balance. In other words, not a bad stone to be connected to.

where did you get these personality profiles from Tinkerbell?

I did a different one and always came up with INFP. But that one theres 16 different ones.

another one I did just had four, I was a mixture of all of them but mostly leaned toward Peaceful/Precise.
Not really Powerful much at all. Or playful. I dont tend to do things in a powerful way and I generally take things seriously.

Many people are peaceful, they dont like conflict or rocking the boat, and just let things happen. But there are aspects of me that are precises, like say if someones reading the Bible and they are majorly skipping over verses or words that I know are in there Im like STOP! You can't do that! Read it properly!

with the govt sometimes (or actually most of the time) you really have no choice and have to grin and bear it. I think theres an illusion that we actually get to choose our govts. I know from working within local govt! if someone really powerful gets into govt and then starts abusing their position, its horrible for everyone.

independence can be a good thing but then its all on you and often doesnt work that way...cooperation is better me thinks. But sometimes independence is really necessary. Many countries celebrate their independence day because they dont like tyranny and want to be in charge of their own destiny, just as individual people do.

i was thinking I am similar to this, as i got a text form the govt saying 'theres this 'mass vaccination' in the city thats 40 minutes away or 2 hours by public transport and it said to book, and the on only days you could do it were sunday late at night and Im like what.

My brother whos a doctor, not that I listen to him cos he just gets it where he works was like oh get it and Im like hang on its easy for YOU to say 'just go get it' but if the vaccines are in my local neighbourhood and I dont have to go traipsing across town in the dark to somehwere I never been to be injected just cos I want it sooner then Im going to wait and be local rather than risk travel and do it with everyone else.

my mum said possibly they got my name mixed up with someone else, I thought it was a joke. really.

If someone says wow you are offered this job come for an interview and the interview is 3 hours away they dont really care how much time and hours out of your day are wasted trying to get there. and who really wants a 3 hour commute or something crazy like that. When you could find a job closer to home.

I got Pearl

but the description for that was a bit uninspiring, It just said I considered all options before making a choice, even if it didnt fit!

My sister is a pearl. She lives for a cause. Whether it is world peace or women empowerment, she is very passionate about making the world a better place.

Yes sometimes I find it hard saying no.
when Ive said no to people some of them then just go on ahead anyway and ignore me even when Ive said NO. or they get really angsty about it and treat you like an idiot for saying no.

thinking of my brother here lol

my sister is probably a ruby type. I just thought since she was the firstborn that it was just a given that she would be that way, because nothing would ever happen if she never made the decisions.

But when I do things, its a completely different story its like what do you even know you are the YOUNGER sister you are not supposed to know that or decide. Great put downs big sis. I now know my place.
