Neither Cain nor Abel lived in the garden of Eden. Adam was evicted prior to their birth.

Your verse is talking about the Cross.
Notice that the Devil is not dead?
He does not die, but his WORKS are destroyed.
The verse says the devil himself will be destroyed not only his works.

There was no law in the Garden

Yes there was.

Gen 2:16 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:
Gen 2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

Gen 2:16-17 . . And the Lord God commanded the man: You are free to
eat from any tree in the garden; but you must not eat from the tree of the
knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die.

There's a subtle technicality in that command not easily detected.

Eve's experience reveals that the command didn't apply to her. When she
tasted the forbidden fruit, nothing happened. Eve went right on in the buff
unashamed same as always. It wasn't till Adam tasted the fruit that Eve
underwent changes to the nature of her existence.

This point is a key factor throughout Romans 5:12-21.

Eve's experience reveals that the command didn't apply to her.

It applied to her as we. She knew it did plus she was punished for it.

Gen 3:1 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
Gen 3:2 And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:
Gen 3:3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

Gen 3:16 Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.

24» What is The New Man?

Adam was the first Man. His version of humanity became obsolete when
Christ rose from the dead. From thence, Adam became the old model and
Christ the new and improved model; so to speak.

A sampling of their differences are:

1) The old Man is made from the Earth, whereas the new is made from
Heaven.

2) The old Man is susceptible to mortality, whereas the new is not.

3) The old Man is susceptible to temptation, whereas the new is not.

4) The old Man is somewhat righteous, whereas the new is completely
righteous.

5) God can't depend on the old Man, whereas on the new He can.

6) The old Man's base nature is human, whereas the new's is divine.

7) The old Man tends to avoid God, whereas the new welcomes His
company.

8) The old Man resents God, whereas the new admires Him.

9) The old Man fears God, whereas the new seeks His approval.

10) The old Man is an enemy of God, whereas the new is His ally.

Moses was not in the Garden.

1» Was Jesus a Christian?

Jesus was a Jew thru and thru who believed and practiced the Old
Testament in compliance with the Prophets and the various covenants; most
especially the one that Moses' people agreed upon with God per Exodus,
Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy. (Gal 4:4)
_
This is not a useful question. It is an absurd question.

Jesus fulfilled the Law, by the way.

Some laws came from Moses but there was other law before Moses.

I have to vote YES because according to 2Pet 2:5 Noah was a preacher of
righteousness in the era leading up to the Flood. I think we can be reasonably
confident his preaching was based upon a number of the laws of God.

Also; according to Gen 26:5, a number of the laws of God were known in
Abraham's day; and I believe it was on the basis of those known laws that
God came down on Sodom and Gomorrah.

However, the laws of God known in Noah's and Abraham's day weren't
codified until Moses' day. Apparently, codification is what makes the
difference in how God goes about enforcing His laws.

For example: Abel was a prophet (Luke 11:50-51) so I'm pretty sure Cain
knew murder violated God's moral values, but seeing as how the
punishment for murder had not yet been codified in that day, then God was
at liberty to punish Cain arbitrarily rather than strictly by the book (so to
speak) seeing as how there was as yet no book to go by.

This is a codicil to post No.90

According to 1John 1:8, Christians do sin; whereas according to Eph 4:24,
the new man never sins.

People who've undergone the birth spoken of at John 3:3-5 are an amalgam
of old man and new man. However, the old and the new aren't joined at the
hip. By means of a special circumcision, performed by the hand of God, the
old and the new are separate (Col 2:11)

This is one of Christianity's mysteries that quite a few folk find very difficult
to accept; which I suspect is due to the fact that we are easily aware of the
workings of our old man's sinful nature while just about totally unaware of
the workings of our new man's righteous nature. Consequently, if the Bible
were not telling us we have the new man's righteous nature, I think most of
us would never discover its presence on our own.

25» Why Was Cain's Offering Rejected?

Long story short: God rejected Cain along with rejecting his offering. This is
important because God still does business like that with mankind to this day.

Prov 15:8 . . Jehovah detests the sacrifice of the wicked

Cain's situation is well illustrated by Isa 1:11-20 where Moses' people were
offering all the covenanted sacrifices, they were praying up a storm, and
observing all the God-given feasts and holy days. God rejected all of it, even
though He himself required it, because the people's personal conduct was
unbecoming.

FAQ: In what way might Cain's piety have been lacking?

A: Well, judging by the fact that Cain later murdered Abel; my first guess
would be bad blood between him and his kid brother.

Matt 5:23-24 . . If you are offering your gift at the altar and there
remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift
there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to your brother; then
come and offer your gift.

And Cain's attitude was deplorable too; he was insolent and rude; even to
God. (Gen 4:9)

Moral of the story:

"This is the message we have heard from Him and declare to you: God is
light; in Him there is no darkness at all. If we claim to have fellowship with
Him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth. (1John
1:5-6)

NOTE: The Hebrew word for Cain's and Abel's offerings is from minchah
(min-khaw') which aren't necessarily sin offerings like the 'olah (o-law')
which are burnt offerings. Minchahs are more like donations and or tributes;
and usually bloodless and voluntary.

Ancient rabbis understood the brothers' offerings to be a "first fruits" kind of
oblation.

T. And it was at the end of days, on the fourteenth of Nisan, that Kain
brought of the produce of the earth, the seed of cotton (or line), an oblation
of first things before the Lord; and Habel brought of the firstlings of the
flock. (Targum Jonathan)

Seeing as how Cain was a farmer, then in his case, an amount of produce
was the appropriate minchah, and seeing as how Abel was an animal
husbandman, then in his case a head of livestock was appropriate.

See your issue?
You are denying truth with "i think".
Try not to do that, as too many people have as their theology...."i think".

Listen, thousand of people went to hell today because they "thought" that water and commandments saved them.

There is nothing inherently wrong with using the words, "I think". I think Jesus is Messiah and guess what? I'm correct. I also think you are wrong in this post and that Weber was right in his.
