Jesus Yeshua has taught plainly, we are to render unto Caesar what belongs to him.

Another, no good soldier will envolve himself in civilian pursuits.

One more, you cannot serve God and mammon.

These simple teachings say it all, however many have become dull to the understanding.

If one were to put Ceasar and Herod into a political party, they would have all the trappings of the right wing..

If one were to be exactly as was Jesus Yeshua, he would be considered left wings.

The only wings under God are in Heaven for both stances are wrong.

We are of the Kingdom with a King and we obey Him, not men, not when they are opposed to the will of our Father, and there is NO government on the face of this ti9red old globe which has obtained the nod from above, not Europe, not the US, not Issrael on our maps, not S. America, no one. Show me a nation which truly works to please Jesus Yeshau, and DI will show you the Kingdom, nothing of this age.

There is no "probability" about the major election fraud and crime committed against the United States of America. Even Leftist TIME magazine said as much. Had the feckless and treasonous Supreme Court done its job, Trump would still be president.

It is not only amusing but totally disingenuous for Trump haters to focus on his foibles while they voted for an actual criminal who should have been behind bars with his son. Trump was definitely not a traitor but Biden is that and worse.

Getting back to the OP, the man is correct in saying that Christians must make their influence known through the ballot box. But now it is too late for ballot boxes. When illegal migrants who are not even citizens (and in fact criminals) are voting and distorting the ballot, then the USA has become worse than many third world countries. Even India has a better record for clean elections.
Trump is a psyop. Please look up the occult meaning of the "ok" or "triple-six" that he throws. He's also been pictured throwing the "triangle" - all occult. Trump is likely a 33 degree Masonic witch.

I used to believe in him until I saw he would say one thing and do another. By their fruit ye shall know them not by their talk. So I researched him and his name was found in Epstein's little black book. He admits to being a Mason. The clincher was the satanic hand signs. Most Christians are clueless about how they communicate. If you watch Fauci, Ron Paul, Merkel, the Royal family, the Pope, actors, sports figures - they all throw occult hand signs. You must "have your senses trained to discern both good and evil." Discernment is sorely lacking among believers.

Those Christians who are called by God to get directly involved in government should do so.

Personally, I believe that we are all called to be involved by means of prayer. I also believe that we should exercise the freedom to vote, and to speak up on issues that concern us.
I believe we should pray. However I don't believe our votes - at least nationally and in some cases our state - matter. My spouse worked with a guy who said he found that his dead father "voted" before him - his name was in the book. I contacted the state and no one even got back to me. That showed me that they know it's going on.

Were not thos cited enlisted by their captors? I hardly call this willing service rather service by happenstance.
Would you say our Lord should have served Herod or Caesar? Absurd and not according to the Holy Spirit.
I'm trying to figure out how other believers see their duty. So you believe as some sects do that even in the face of evil you are to remain silent?

“The ultimate test of a moral society is the kind of world that it leaves to its children.”
― Dietrich Bonhoeffer

“Silence in the face of evil is itself evil: God will not hold us guiltless.
Not to speak is to speak.
Not to act is to act.”
― Dietrich Bonhoeffer

I belong to Jesus Yeshua since He paid for my very being even after creating me. As for sects, I am given to understand by the Lord that I am of the faith of Abraham, that is I believe God.
If you wish to classify this as a sect, go right aheate, there are a lot of us.

In your sect, which party do you believe what you consider true believers should belong to? My thinking is not a one, and this is being like Jesus Yesua.

One thought upon which any who love Jesus Yeshua might ponder. Ask yourself if your desire to Christianize a government is you attempting to have or influence politics in this age or not.
If this is your desire, you are overlooking the Kingdoms and the King for He and He only is our focus of service, not some perverted kind of power in this age. Be honest.

We are not here to take over the earth and its ways, we are here to please our King, so the choice is up to any indvivual. I choose the Kingdom and the King, not this age.

Yes I agree with that so why aren't there more Christians and Christian pastors speaking out about the tyranny that has come upon us? Has anyone here read "Gulag Archipelago"? We are headed into full-blown loss of our freedoms communism. Where is the uproar? Terrorists are coming across our borders. Not nary a peep from the American people. Here is a quote from a man put in a concentration camp:

Remember Solzhenitsyn’s words in the GULAG ARCHIPELAGO: “Resistance should have began right there but it did not begin. You aren’t gagged, you really can and you really ought to cry out that arrests are being made on the strength of false accusations. If many such outcries had been heard all over the city would arrests have no longer have been so easy.”

They, the tyrants, can’t work in the public eye. Those people who were so apathetic, hoping that nothing was really wrong, that nothing would happen to their persons and property, sat back and watched.

If you think that all (that) is necessary is to pay your bills, to go vote when there is an election, and to stand back during the rest of tht year and watch as your country and way of life are replaced by a system in which you will be a slave in a concentration camp, you – not the conspirators – are guilty because you, by silent acquiescence, invite tyranny and oppression.
Yes I agree with that so why aren't there more Christians and Christian pastors speaking out about the tyranny that has come upon us?
I'm not sure. I have not sat in every church around America to know how many are preaching against the evil of tyranny and the immoral examples we see. I here some on the radio speak out against it. I hear a lot of Christians in my own life speaking against it.

It is easier to speak against it withing freedom of speech but it is not as easy when outlawed and resistance is demanded.

But just like the Jews in Nazi Germany, they felt the pressure but no one wanted to believe it would get as bad as it did, until it was too late.

Either way resistance will be natural like how we see the parent school board meetings or it will not and society will slip into socialism/communism.

It has to be a large collection of people or it will fail. The spirit of liberty has to be present or it will fail.

That's sick. Clearly the system is deeply broken, and likely deeply corrupt.

The way the US government is set up- the citizens are supposed to be at least somewhat engaged if not totally active.
The idea was that Americans were going to be a moral and smart people... that didnt turn out quite how it was supposed to. But we can work on that.
Christian's should vote their conscience IMO. It's okay to abstain if your young and clueless, but just doing nothing in the political sphere your whole life is irresponsible.
The problem with many proposed standards of Christian civil engagement is that they have little relevance outside of the U.S. Telling a Chinese believer to speak out against their government is foolish; the same with telling them to vote.

Among all forms of governance, democracy is the least like the Kingdom of Heaven and yet the U.S. touts it as the de facto standard of the world.

I think, like with all things, there is a right and wrong way to do the exact same things. There's a right and wrong way to pray, fast, do good works, talk, walk, etc.

Since we are in this world, like a soldier, we are smack dab in the middle of enemy territory. There is no way to avoid being on the world, but we don't have to be of the world when utilizing their devices.

1 Corinthians 5:9-10
I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators: 10Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world.

We ae not fighting a worldly war nor any of its battles, we are soldiers of the spiritual warfare. Do not confuse this with oppressing those who do not agree with your opinions for they are not the teachings of Yeshua Jesus.

This amalgamation of religion and politics is precisely the harlot we are to come out of. "Come out of her my people". Some of us heard the call afar off (I stopped voting for national elections in 1992; for state elections a hand full of years after that). Some of us have yet to hear it. Some, have ignored it all together and have jumped into the mire with both feet. Those poor souls will burn with worry and want until they day they pass.

When you begin to live as a foreigner in a strange land you find it necessary to rest in the One who sent you. This is a progressive unfolding and revealing of His supernatural love. Soon, you find yourself enjoying the birds from your porch while the world worries and grows anxious.

Speaking out against evil is a Christian's responsibility; I'll agree with that. But evil comes in many forms, not just politics.

Not exactly. Daniel rose to the second highest place in Babylon on his own merits (as did Joseph in Egypt, both having God's hand upon them). And Ezra and Nehemiah were free men who returned to Judea and rebuilt Jerusalem and the temple (with the king's blessings and treasure). Obviously, Christ did not come to earth to serve any earthly king or emperor.

Like when Jesus was on trial?

"He was oppressed and he was afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth; like a lamb that is led to slaughter, and like a sheep that is silent before its shearers, so he did not open his mouth."

Bonhoeffer was involved in a plot to kill another man. When He was on the earth Jesus killed no one. After He ascended, the apostles and His disciples killed no one. The death count for truly following Jesus is still 0.

Allah, however, often directs his followers to kill his opponents. Muhammed killed or ordered the killing of dozens, according to their holy books. The idea that Christ orders His people to kill others probably came from Rome. Rome had to justify its on-going border wars within the purview of of their new state-sponsored religion. The integrated the cross with their battlements and fought "holy wars" against their opponents. Ironically, this perversion most resembled Islamic practices. It's no coincidence that Islam and the ratification of Christianity as the Roman State religion occurred almost at the same time. The Roman people and the Arabs came under the influence of the same spirit simultaneously.

Not how successful they were is the crux of my post it is how they each began. None asked for their position, they were enlisted.

All who believe God are enlisted in the spiritual warfare to gain new believers to Him in Jesus Yeshua.. I am no exception, therefor I try to appeal to non/blievers in exhibiting the love our Father has given me.
We should all, who belive Jesus, Yeshua, attract non-believers to the Way b y our love for one another. This by nomeans is to be interpreted that we should betray His love in be in agreement with false brethren.
