Alright folks, there are people who like TV and people who never watch it. But, for those who do, we usually have our favorite shows. Let's name some of our all-time favorites.

Unlike some people here who refuse to answer the question their thread is devoted to (you know who you are :p), I will lay mine out there...

* Star Trek (all shows, though not overly crazy about Enterprise)
* Cheers
* Seinfeld
* Honeymooners
* Odd Couple
* I Dream of Jeannie
* The Munsters
* Married with Children (yeah, I know, it's like my visual McDonald's)
* Frasier
* The Bob Newhart Show
* Newhart
* Supernatural
* X-Files
* Outer Limits (new)
* Twilight Zone (original)
* Gilligan's Island
* Fantasy Island
* The Love Boat (God help me)
* Bugs Bunny
* Popeye

And, I could go on. But I'll spare you.

Some excellent choices there, G! Like you, these would be on my fav list too:

Cheers
Seinfeld
StarTrek (org series)
Twilight Zone (original)
Fantasy Island (as I recall it from a long time ago)

There's some shows I liked at one point in time, and I'm not sure I'd like them now. But my favs would be:

Friends
Little House on the Prairie
Taxi
Firefly
Family Ties
Battlestar Galactica (2000)
The Office (British version)
Speed Racer (1960s)
The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes

Liked when I was a kid: Buck Rogers (70s), Spiderman (60s), The Avengers (60s), Space Giants (60s),

Heh... not bad. It's amazing how BG from 1978 has aged. Oh man it is not what I remember seeing at 14!

I don't really spend much time in front of the TV....other than occasionally watching The Simpsons. And maybe Family Guy here and there.

And I don't want to forget Dexter. I was way into that show back in the day.

I think I was more into TV when I was a kid. I grew up in the 90's and Nickelodeon was awesome back then. 😊

It's funny because when I think of "favorite TV shows," I immediately think of my favorite Saturday morning cartoons.

I have a hard time explaining to "the young people" :) that "back in my day," there was no cable television (at least, my family didn't have the money or desire to pay for it,) no Cartoon Network, no Nickelodeon and no Disney channel. Cartoons were a rare occurrence on TV and so you cherished the times they were on and you actually got to view them.

Once upon a time, there were 3 major networks who ran Saturday Morning Cartoons from 8 AM to noon, and that was it, aside from the time when they also ran cartoons for a couple of hours on weekdays after school.

And so, when I think of favorite shows, I immediately think of things such as:

* Dungeons and Dragons (I grew up during the heavy controversy surrounding the game; I was never into the game but the Saturday morning cartoon was my favorite of all time, seeing as I was bound and determined to marry Hank. I'm sorry Sheila, but you need to take that cloak and make yourself invisible permanently.)

* Transformers G1 (Generation 1.) I know there are several other reiterations out there but I have yet to check into them. Optimus Prime was the ultimate cartoon father figure.

* Spiderman and His Amazing Friends. (Even as a kid, I knew some of the storylines they were tackling were kind of heavy and I loved that.)

* The X-Men (I could have done without Jubilee, but the banter Wolverine had with everyone, especially Gambit, was just classic.)

* Pole Position (What can I say, I'm a sucker for talking cars.)

I've always loved cartoons but unfortunately, I seem to be one of those people who is stuck being a product of her own time. I've tried watching newer shows, but I can't help pine for a continuation of the old (a GOOD continuation, not the reboots and "reimaginations" they keep ruining my childhood with these days) rather than what I find to be so stale and lacking in humor and insight in most of the shows of today.

No just the bottom 4 I should also include "Are you Afraid of the Dark" " R.L. Stines Haunting Hour" and "Eerie Indiana" which are all three horror anthology series two of which were early 90s shows.

X-Men the animated series is coming back soon. It's going to pick up where it left off in the 90s
