I haven't and won't. Self mutilation is not a calling.

We fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

I have a question for you, tattoo supporters:

Would you paint a black graffiti about Jesus or your favourite Bible verse on your local church?

If your answer is no, then why do it on another temple of God? Why vandalize the flesh temple and not the rock temple?

I don't want to appear pharisaic as I'm not free of sin, but this is what the Holy Spirit is telling me.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.

It is forbidden and is furthermore a sign one is dabbing into witchcraft and evil spirits, it is not a good sign. Do not get a tattoo. If you already made the error of getting a tattoo, do not get more, but acknowledge it was wrong and turn back from the system that says it is right.

Saw too many on inmates while working in the prison to see them as a positive.

What are your thoughts on Christians getting tattoos?
Scripture only speaks on tattoos in context of pagan worship. Nothing else is said other than do not do as the pagans do.

Deuteronomy 14:1
14 “You are the sons of the Lord your God. You shall not cut yourselves or make any baldness on your foreheads for the dead.

For those who push the OT laws must also abide by all the laws which they do not. They continue to shave off the unibrow in grief.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20
Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.

So glorify God in your body.

The physical building of the temple contained artwork to glorify God.

1 Corinthians 10:23
“All things are lawful,” but not all things are helpful. “All things are lawful,” but not all things build up.

So in less you are doing these things that neither glorify God or helpful then we shouldn't do that to our bodies.

If you can say it does glorify God and helpful to you then do so in full conscience that you are not in sin.

Romans 14:14 (ESV)
14 I know and am persuaded in the Lord Jesus that nothing is unclean in itself, but it is unclean for anyone who thinks it unclean.

Christians if following the full law must also not eat unclean meat and meat dedicated to pagan causes. Toasting to lgbt marriage for example. But Paul says nothing is unclean in itself in less the individual feels it to be unclean then it is sin to them.

Romans 14:23 (ESV)
23 But whoever has doubts is condemned if he eats, because the eating is not from faith. For whatever does not proceed from faith is sin.

Everything in the realm that the law has fulfilled containing to the Mosiac law and law of the prophets can be applicable to holiness but not condemning to the Christian.

All moral laws are transcending so they are always considered sinful and never should be practiced for example, sexual immorality.

Tattoos aren't my thing... Yet it's a controversial topic. For example, what if someone got a tattoo before they got saved? What if someone got a Tattoo after they got saved? If it's wrong will Jesus forgive them?

I have listened to Pastor Bob Beeman for several years. While I don't agree with every little thing He says. This man seems to have a really good heart for the lord. Yet He's got tattoos. Here is a vlog he did about them.

Yeah I got one for sentimental value (family member) before I got saved. Been about six years that Ive thought about getting more, again for sentiment but the consensus here seems to be that the Bible says no.

Which way are you feeling about the topic of tattoos?
I really want to get them. They are snippets of letters from my parents. A sentence on each arm. Ive wanted them more than any biblical verse but Im not opposed to getting those either. Ive never prayed about it tho so I should do that.

I don't think that they are going to send you to Heaven or Hell...

However....
Sometimes they are gotten in the dumbest manner possible and often these are the ones getting them for the dumbest reasons.

CIP: my brother-in-law put his daughters names on his pecs so that they would "always be near his heart" ....
As if he was going to forget their names?
Was he planning on stopping his love for them?

It flat out doesn't make sense.

We must also remember

Matthew 15:11-20
New King James Version

11 Not what goes into the mouth defiles a man; but what comes out of the mouth, this defiles a man.”
12 Then His disciples came and said to Him, “Do You know that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this saying?”
13 But He answered and said, “Every plant which My heavenly Father has not planted will be uprooted. 14 Let them alone. They are blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind leads the blind, both will fall into a ditch.”
15 Then Peter answered and said to Him, “Explain this parable to us.”
16 So Jesus said, “Are you also still without understanding? 17 Do you not yet understand that whatever enters the mouth goes into the stomach and is eliminated? 18 But those things which proceed out of the mouth come from the heart, and they defile a man. 19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies. 20 These are the things which defile a man, but to eat with unwashed hands does not defile a man.”

God focuses on the heart of each matter. So legalistic practices that hold no bearing on the soul are outward and can not defile the individual from within.

The body decomposes but the soul is eternal and a new body will be given again one day. Thank God for that.

We simply must ask will the message we portray on our body glorify God. Will it be good as a witness for Christ. Today many have tattoos so it could also be a way to be like the lost but not of the lost like Paul did in,

1 Corinthians 9:19-23
New International Version

Paul’s Use of His Freedom
19 Though I am free and belong to no one, I have made myself a slave to everyone, to win as many as possible. 20 To the Jews I became like a Jew, to win the Jews. To those under the law I became like one under the law (though I myself am not under the law), so as to win those under the law. 21 To those not having the law I became like one not having the law (though I am not free from God’s law but am under Christ’s law), so as to win those not having the law. 22 To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all people so that by all possible means I might save some. 23 I do all this for the sake of the gospel, that I may share in its blessings.

On top of this the lettering is bad...no talent whatsoever. He never looked into who it was that was going to do the work.

Paul said that all things are lawful but not everything is helpful. Based on that I don't see how getting a tattoo is a sin. I would keep it small though and perhaps in an inconspicuous place.
