Explain your username/prof pic/signature

pretty please. Otherwise have a lovely day. Is this a Christian topic? probably not but your answers may be. I will go first to encourage you lot to respond.
I chose TheNarrowPath because it scares me to wander off that back to that wide path when Im not paying attention to God. I got bored with my pic so changed it to something that catches my eye eg I took that pic today, there were flowers for sale and it reminded me of my toddler, stopping every few feet to pick wild flowers for me on our walks. I dont have a signature because I dont know how to do that yet.

The kitty with the Cat Hat got my attention as it has such a precious face.

I am lynx because a lynx is a nice balance. Not as muscle bound and slow as a tiger, not as hyper and insubstantial as a cheetah, not as helpless as a house cat.

Also a lynx has no interest in attacking humans. They are far too big to carry off and they smell bad too, mostly like the chemicals they put on themselves. If you walk through the woods and a lynx is in the neighborhood, you usually won't even know he is there. He would much rather stay in his tree, completely motionless, and wait until you trample on through.

My avatar is was taken while I was eating a burger at Universal's Islands of Adventure in Florida. I'm a bit of a theme park nut, and finally got to ride their newest coaster, Velociraptor. While it might seem like the lake or green coaster (The Hulk) in the back is the focal point of the picture, what I was actually after is really the line of upside-down people caught in a full barrel roll on the Velociraptor (black track) in the forefront.

The barrel roll comes at the very end of the ride and really catches you off guard! I loved it and hope to go back someday!

"Seoul" is pronounced the same as "soul," and is the capitol of South Korea, where I was found before I was adopted.

Growing up Asian in a Caucasian family, I had a lot of identity issues, especially as a teen and young adult. And I found out that identity (from my point of view at least) changes throughout life. The brooding, moody person I used to be has changed as God has helped me find purpose and meaning in life. (Ok, so I'm STILL brooding and moody, but maybe just a little less so.)

"Seoulsearch" really sums up who I am. It represents my constant search for the substance of the soul God gave me and made me to be, as well as my interest in helping others work through who they are as well.

Magenta is a name that was given to me by a good friend of mine close to three decades ago.

We worked together in the photofinishing industry; we do not use the word purple there.

Magenta is an equal mix of red and blue light rays. It does not exist in the spectrum.

My wardrobe is mostly various shades of purple, and has been for a long time

My username is derived from the following portion of scripture:

"For whether we are beside ourselves, it is to God: or whether we are sober, it is for your cause. For the love of Christ constrains us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again." (II Corinthians 5:13-15)

Initially, my username was simply "Live4Him". It's now "Live4Him3" because I left this forum twice, and this is now my third time through here.

As far as my profile picture is concerned, that is probably my most favorite photo that I've ever seen in my entire life. Every time that I look at it, it reminds me of the following portion of scripture which is also my signature verse:

"Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth." (Psalm 46:10)

In other words, in my mind, I see the bear taking pause or "being stilled" as he is captivated by the Majesty and Glory of God.

My screen name Hazelelponi is a woman mentioned in 1 Chronicle 4:3 in the genealogies.

I chose this name for several reasons, firstly being the meaning is "the shadow of God (God's protection) facing, or turned toward"

Second, I wanted to identify with Old Testament Israel, and Jews in particular now that I've been grafted into the tree, and am a Child of God.

This is particularly important to me coming from an Israeli, Palestinian and Bedouin ancestry, and coming out of the Islamic faith.

My salvation through the work of Christ is such a miracle, and more than just grace and mercy. What He gave to me I never deserved, and the knowledge of it brings me to tears to this day, tears of joy and gratefulness and thankfulness, and the name Hazelelponi just embodies all of who and what I now am, and what God gave to me.

Everything else speaks for itself.

Seeking-Christ: Just because a person accepts Christ as personal savior doesn't mean you stop seeking after... Or stop trying to get better then you were before. Often times I feel lost, so I'm constantly trying to get Jesus to pay attention to me. As I seek Christ, I listen to my audio bible, I listen to Christian teachings and sermons and I pray. It's like, I keep knocking on the door.

Many years ago, as in 2006 or so, I started writing poems online. I did this on and off for years.... Then in 2020, I started creating poems that i shared at work. To my surprise there were some people who liked them in real life! I got to thinking maybe I should try joining a poetry site and start writing there. I never got around to doing that, but I did start writing some poems here. Since I didn't like the avatar that Christian Chat gave me, I just decided to upload this one. So, the only meaning that the Ink Pen has for me is the fact that I write some poems sometimes.

In other words, I downloaded the avatar so that i could use it on the poetry site, but never joined so it didn't get used the way I originally intended.

Oh yeah! I forgot the part about the signature!

I'm always singing or humming to myself. Occasionally people ask me if I sing at church. I sing everywhere, so church is one of the places I sing because that's part of everywhere.

I will admit they do let me have a microphone when I sing at church. I don't know if they turn the microphone down, and I'm afraid to ask.

I chose 'tourist' because I'm just passing through and my little rainbow thing because it is colorful.

I always thought you used the rainbow because of the promise that God made to Noah.

Nah, I just like the flash of colors.

Before the format change 4 years ago the avatars were in squares and the 'rainbow' was a lot bigger. After the change the avatars are in circles, and I lost about 3/4 of it. Oh well. Not that important.

Now the M & M 's signature came about from a complaint from a member (8+ years ago). Can't remember the thread or the member but the current flow of conversation was about food. I mentioned the candy. A few posts later another member and I were talking about the M & M's again. One member got irritated and demanded I stop talking about it. 5 minutes later it became my signature.

The member who complained quit the site a few weeks later. Obviously was not a connoisseur of fine chocolates.

I did too and wrote another post.

I feel that I need a new avatar. Currently I have one of the Linux Mint logos.
