The title says it all.

Inquiring minds want to know:

1. Would you kiss this face???

2. What about if kissing this creature would result in you getting the prince/princess/companion of your dreams as a result?!?

And these aren't your little garden variety toads, either.

Unfortunately, I have several CC friends who know that one of my extreme, irrational phobias is of toads and frogs, and occasionally (read: all too often) they enjoy taking advantage of my great fears.

Wasps? Hornets? Spiders (as long as they're not the size of my hand)? No problem.

But if you cross my path with one (or worse, a group) of these beady-eyed, questionably suspicious-looking amphibians, you can almost place bests on me jumping and screaming. I can only blame it on bad childhood memories of deadheading my Mom's petunias as a kid and a "bumpy rock" jumping out at me, and a boy at summer camp who came up to me and said, "I have a surprise for you!"

The last thing I saw was a pair of beady little eyes popping up over the boy's cupped hands as I screamed and ran away. NO.THANK.YOU!!!

And to this day, I still shudder when I see petunias at local garden centers.

A few days ago, a CC friend sent me a picture of a toad that she and her mom had encountered while coming home from grocery shopping. She said it was about the size of a personal pan pizza.

Jiminy Crickets, the picture alone made my heart stop!!!

And then my friend sweetly suggested, "Why don't you kiss him, Seoul? After all, he might turn into a prince!"

(For anyone who might be unfamiliar with this, there is a well-known fairy tale here in the USA in which a princess kisses a frog and he becomes a handsome prince.)

Uh....

I think I'll take my chances at STAYING SINGLE, THANKS.

HOWEVER... What about the rest of you?

If you could kiss a face like this and it would turn into the prince or princess of your dreams, WOULD YOU DO IT?!?

I am really curious to hear the answers!

Just a fun little thread to kick off the weekend!
I used to own one of those!
I never kissed it though.
That is Bufo marinus if I remember the Latin.
Auto correct is driving me nuts on that spelling.
Did you know that kissing frogs and toads was a fad for many years? I saw part of an interview on Rogan and apparently there's still people who kiss certain toads and frogs for the hallucinating effects.
A dog that picks one up in his mouth would probably die.
A girl who does the same might hallucinate that she is a Disney princess and the toad is her Prince Charming. Lol!
😘🐸.....🤴

Fractured Fairy Tales

Just an old memory of something that the kids liked.

Anyhow, the poison glands are where the ears would be. They would do some stupid things to get high. Remember Tide Pods?

Based off on how many swipes to the left I have done when I thought a match was perfect (mainly if I am attracted to them, I swipe to the left because they do not believe in God or need to sleep with someone before they decide to get married...I am really hating dating sites right now...I mean I put effort in describing who I want and they put like the exact opposite as a top result), maybe I need more luck in my life. That said, I think someone I knew from a decade ago might still be single despite a friend telling me she was engaged to be married (not sure how accurate his rumors were) and she's far more into the Christian life than I am (I don't like using the term "more Christian" because I don't believe us being Christian has anything to do with our own endeavors).

Frankly, I might be in luck because of an observation I made about her to myself back then. She spent a lot of time hanging out with the sisters in our Church compared to hanging out with the men.....aka the sisters who were more comfortable hanging out with the brothers in the Church (on a platonic level...nothing inappropriate) got married much more often than the women who only hung out with other women. Not that hanging out with who you want to hang out with is any issue....she always appeared happier than most women I know, but it just limits your exposure....that said, I probably am much the same in a different way....I hang out with both men and women, but put negative effort into getting into a relationship....I mean, why should I put effort into looking for a relationship if I don't feel compelled by God to seek that relationship?

Hahaha...none of them are cute to you?
I think most animals in general are cute. I'd kiss a frog or an iguana. Used to kiss my little gerbil Suzy-Q. She was so cute, with her little white tummy and big brown eyes. What I'd like to do is kiss a horse's nose. They look so big and rubbery.

heh... heh... heh...

I can't believe that I've never seen that.
That would be the perfect Count Floyd, Chiller Horror Monster Theater feature.
I used to love those invasion movies, like Tarantulas with William Shatter.
What's " funny" is that God made this a reality in Egypt back in the olden days. Lol!
Locusts, blood.... Exodus 8:5...frogs.
It would even make these movies look tame.

I used to let people get kisses on the cheek from my iguanas.
If you are serious about getting an iguana some day, you might want to start with a bearded dragon or water dragon. They aren't so demanding. I like your new avatar though. It's really cool. I used to have torquoise blue phase like that.

I have though about getting a lizard, but they are very hard to keep alive and healthy.
